There's just no way to polish a glass crystal for all practical purposes. As a vintage Rollie enthusiast, I find it humororous that many fellow vintage lovers try to duplicate that injury to your watch, to make it look 'more 'vintage'. You're on the right track though; if you can't live with that scratch- sell it on this forum and order a new one from Lawrence for 90 USD shipped.

Pepsi GMT and 'matching' vintage sunglasses...

Thumbs up from me- long as you don't mind waiting a couple of weeks for your order. Arty

I wouldn't do it- I wore a Submariner while cutting my grass, and one of the luminous markers was floating around the dial when I finished. Maybe best not to subject a rep to higher impact activities... Arty

Just this old thing today-

I don't get it- Couldn't his have been a rep too?

IMHO, that strap looks best on a tool watch, not a jewelry or dress watch. If you like it, wear it well. Hey, you'll probably own many others to wear in your weekly rotation- here are some of mine, and some stock photos of how I think the NATO was meant to look:

I've got a theory about that photo but without mentioning it, can anyone comment on the deep wear on the lugs from the bracelet? I'll settle for my steel Gevril asymetrical pushers until someone plunks down the $$$ and posts their own photos. Arty

Here are my little guys:

That's weird- who did you order from? Arty

Yeah those watches are old news. The top time was not a fantasy watch. Actually Bond has worn at least a half dozen different brands. And Rolex was not the first. At least in the movies.
Just that particular one was a fantasy model (by rep forum member terms)- a more proper term would be 'movie prop'...

Got this one on for now...

I am watching all of the bond movies right now and when I see a watch (apart from the sub) I will try to post it.
Here are 2 from you only live twice.
This one looks like a navitimer
and one from James himself when he is diving:
don't know what it is, so far

Quartz moonphase would suggest a replica. There were some genuine Navitimers that had a moonphase, but they would have used the automatic movement.
Shorts and T-shirt and, ahem, riding a bus- would also be a major signs. Hey, was he wearing a pair of these?

Arty is an Orlando dude with suspicious political leanings.

Always enjoy Nanuq's wit and vintage Sub photos! Working on a 'deal' with him right now... Arty

I'm working on several deals from members as we speak- something might be amiss on your end...Good luck, Arty

What color are the surrounds on your markers, Arty? Black or silver (wg)?
Unfortunately, silver. Although it is not a bright silver, and about 80% of the time depending on what position it is in, they appear black if that makes any sense...Arty

Strap still drying out after a little tropical storm action today so I'll use this shot taken on a dry day...

Mine came from House of Suvenirs and after many months it's still running strong...
Good luck, Arty

I think most have seen these already, but since this thread is dragging on and on, here are my meager in comparison, shots of my non-modified specimens captured with my feeble Sony Handycam- please ignore the Yachty...
Ciao, Arty

Gorgeous shot Freddy! I envy your talent (and your watches). Cheers, Arty

Welcome, friend! I used to love those 60s Bond films too- probably influenced me to buy a couple of these in my collection:
