IF Noob factory CrPO bezel fits, that may be your best course of action as their LM PO has amazing pearl, but its probably a month or two away from release.

Noob factory Ceramic PO and LM LE. (LM due for Release.)
tyrantblade replied to cougar1's topic in The Omega Area
updated = new model, only thing the new and old seem to share is case design, markers, and hands. so basically, yeah completely new watch. theres a ceramic bezel PO in 42mm, but it should be only a month or two before NOOBs release comes out, from the looks of the LM, the CrPO from NOOB should have a much better pearl, and it shouldnt have the crown/stem issue of the BP CrPO. if you meant just the bezel, idk. -
Now down to 205
-
I've got it down to 225, including shipping and PayPal fees.
-
The crown/stem comes all the way out if not careful, not my fault
-
its stated SWISS ETA, though fixable movement and I've started the price lower to accommodate that, its current probably cheap enough to accommodate the most expensive repair.
-
im selling my 42mm CrPO on the other RWG, and it hasnt sold despite going way cheaper than i want to. all damage is cosmetic and most noticeable is the common fading on the bezel (paint, not the bezel itself), and it has the stem and crown issue thats seems to be popping up more and more on the current open caseback CrPOs. id sell it here except im not VIP. what do you think?
-
please tell me im looking for a problem thats not there?

yeah "noob" is a rep factory and they have been working on a Ceramic PO since probably before BP started on their version, Noob factory version is showing some promise of being a better rep, but its pretty close as is, and Noob version may have some premium, we will see, mainly i wish the pearl was higher, other details arent gonna be as obvious, so dont bother me as much. anybody had a Ceramic PO modded for better pearl position (doesnt matter what the underside of the part would look like, just better pearl position on the outside)? -
ive already approved QC pics as i keep going over them, but can find nothing serious, only fault i can seem to find is the low positioned pearl, but a lot of the Ceramic Planet Oceans seem to have this problem. im just so impatient as this will be my first rep in a long time, especially with a noob version finally close to being done.

is a pic of my incoming 42 Ceramic from Andrew, as you can so no "Liquid Metal" stamping/engraving there, so i would hope the newer batch of 45s would not have it, but as they are almost certainly from different sources (at least thats what it seemed like from the first batch with the 45 lacking or having horrible AR while the 42 had "quite possibly the best AR ive seen on a rep" (according to the 42 and 45 rep vs gen thread) i cant be sure, hopefully somebody with a new Ceramic 45 can chime in. and some dealers said the AR on the 45 has improved, but again, not 100% sure (on if its any good yet or not). PS - all dealers usually get the reps from the same factory, so essentially if an improved Ceramic 45 is out there without the "liquid metal" stamping/engraving and double sided AR, any dealer should be able to get it for you.

PO Ceramic QC picture? Is the pearl looks ok (center)?
tyrantblade replied to dvn's topic in The Omega Area
looks horribly low, and i thought the pearl on my incoming Ceramic PO was bad enough (its higher up than that at least). -
im seeing this set of "French" screwdrivers from Otto Frei ranging from .6-1.5mm, would that work, near "Swiss" quality like Bergeon and AF Swiss (which are like 3x as much)?
-
the only thing is at the price they are i wanna get one or two that are the perfect size, and i cant seem to find what size i need and there are way too many sizes in close differences to guess.
-
i have a sticky ball, but id like something more precise, and i really only need one flat screwdriver, maybe two if the movement screws need a different size screwdriver.
-
like i said, i wanna spend something on a few choice quality tools for the basics, and if need be i could perhaps add a bit more to the total fund, $40 was just a starting point, but id prefer to stay below $50 for all 3.
-
those work for the price, how about screwdrivers and a caseback opening tool?
-
thing is in my understanding you get a lot of tools for your money, but usually the quality per tool sucks, and i wanna be careful and get a few quality tools as i dont wanna mess up my Ceramic PO when it comes (was $353 shipped)
-
ive got $40 to spend on a caseback opener tool, a springbar tool, and a set of screwdrivers, tried the other RWG, but their shops processing sucks. i have a Ceramic Planet Ocean 42 incoming from TT, and id like to go through the basics before i do anything else with it once it arrives.
-
if every high beat automatic i get would end up needing some $80 repair, that would be about $300 per rep (since after shipping, most/all ETA clone movement watches are $220 or up), and i just dont got that kind of money. i would rather get a quartz movement alternative (if theres one available) and deal with whatever small issues there would be, rather than spend $300+ per rep
-
i know an automatic movement, especially a high beat would be better if you want a rep that is pretty much perfect, since most expensive gens have some kind of ETA/Automatic movement, but ive got one rep with a high beat movement (ETA clone), it cost me too much for the time its been working, and its just been sitting in a drawer for months. so, im thinking if there are any great quartz alternatives, hopefully close detail wise to the real thing, like most reps are, even if the casing quality kinda suffers, that this is what my next rep would be, because i dont wanna keep spending $200+ per rep, to just have some issue show up with the movement, and it just stay in a drawer.
-
how many people on here do you think also go to the others?
tyrantblade replied to tyrantblade's topic in General Discussion
i was joking about their tastes in Panerai, saying that idk why they wouldnt like the ones that they put in the hall of shame, when they were very very similar to the ones they get all the time. -
i think the teeth on the bezel new planet ocean (at least the 45.5mm one) has more of a square shape vs what looks like a more rounded ^ like shape and personally the small differences seem to add up, probably gonna be ages before there are good reps of the new planet oceans though (well besides the see through case back, would be stupid to show off an asian/swiss eta when the movement on the gen is an 8500 co-axial, and besides nobody would see the back but you anyways). http://forums.watchu...ean-582166.html for reference. http://forums.watchu...500-601734.html - orange bezel version. He valve and crown too seem to have the square shape teeth.
-
well if they can make it the right shade on the 42mm, i dont see why they cant on the 45.5mm, especially by now with it being soooooo close to gen (if pearl was centered and it was superlumed it would be perfect). i also find that when tilted in the qc pics i have it looks more like the orange it should be than like a crimson red, so i guess shade depends on the angle and what the background is like.
