  1. Ill probably just go away for a while, im working on maybe buying an Avenger II Seawolf after taxes, if all goes as planned the final step will be selling off my only rep (of course i know ill need a paid membership)
  2. I wouldnt have posted the last few posts, but when all they have to post is mud throwing because it doesn't suit their own tastes...
  3. I bet you like some odd looking vintage rolexes, in which case that would explain why a nice modern dive watch doesnt interest you
  4. Clearly you are pretty picky and don't like a good looking dive watch, good thing they don't design watches just for you
  5. But its like they made it so much better, they really breathed some fresh light into it with many changes (its still supposed to look like an Avenger as its called the "Avenger II" Seawolf)
  6. Well somebody is gonna get a good deal on a black dial avenger ii seawolf ending around 2100, 700 less than gray market price, what a time to not have $2100
  7. I know lots of people bought the old Breitling reps, the Avenger II series is simply an improvement over the old models, especially in the case of the Seawolfs with the odd number font, which wasn't even chromed (just the start of the differences) Plus the Cobra Yellow beats the old pale yellow all day long, whats not to get? If old models sold well (and still do, both from dealers and M2M) of course updated models will sell good, especially divers
  8. the avenger seawolf looked run of the mill, serious diver that looked boring
  9. http://i.imgur.com/s6B8XUp.jpg Why no love for this?
  10. The thing is the used updated breitlings sometimes show up for $2500 or less, $4000 or so would be brand new Even $2500 is an impossibility right now, i just can't manage to save much money no matter what i do right now, that wont change unless 1. My factory job starts needing overtime on a regular basis, its happened before, but i work for a cheap factory (my pay is just below $10 an hour)- its not that they aren't making a lot of money (sales climbing to $20 million), they would just rather not pay overtime at all - they complain about spending money on things that can only help them make more 2. I pick up a 2nd job that offers probably 20 hours a week, making up for the overtime i rarely get, not really favorable as then ill be too exhausted to do anything but work and sleep and ill be miserable. 3. I reduce my bills, its coming down the pipelines within a few years, then i will have to buy insurance and save money for implants This is why all i can do is wait and hope, $350 for a rep i can manage, i have had a few reps before and managed to pay bills (i only have 1 $300 rep right now) i will not be able to pay $2800 on a gray market website unless work picks up and im able to work 70 hour weeks So you see, what is easy for you guys, is not for me
  11. I got a hat, i can never expect too much from my family, so i gotta buy myself a thing or two when the budget allows, so maybe i will buy myself a nice rep when i get taxes back
  12. I keep checking a few TD websites hoping some day to see the updated Seawolf, but of course im always disappointed as its usually a new version of a rep that's been done to death, a slightly different model than what was previously available, or the oddest choice They seem to like gambling on some odd brands/models that probably nobody was even aware existed, rather than to spend $4000 or less on an Avenger II Seawolf to rep it from the gen, i would be so happy if i could spend $350 on a good Avenger II Seawolf rep As has been the case for me for a long time, im uncertain when ill buy any more reps or for how much Don't get me wrong, there are some id like to buy, but nothing thats a must have, especially since i csn never be certain if i will have enough cash to justify keeping a rep, snd i dont want to buy, only to end up needing money and selling it Im just tired of their repetition and I'm uninterested in playing the game of chasing after the newest version of a rep, only to find out they fixed one thing, only to mess up another
  13. its sort of like, yeah the Omega POlooks good, but it doesn't seem as unique as the Breitling Avenger II models
  14. The design should stand out and look good too though and in that regard breitling wins
  15. Dont they start out like 50% higher of prices than Breitling though? I mean for example you can often get tge newer, updated Breitlings on gray market website starting under $2500, for example an Avenger II Seawolf, meanwhile an updated (8500 generation) Omega PO starts at nearly $4000 (both prices from Jomashop) I actually think the avenger 2 seawolf has more going for it looks wise, but im sure many would disagree (i think for some it might look too "blingy" or not refined enough because the bezel is just steel, instead of ceramic) and since when do dive watch reps not sell good?
  16. As much as i like the PO and certain Seamaster 300m models i feel theres a bit too much focus on them, not enough on the updayed breitlings (from a few years back) and i think its because of how the bond association grew the brand, if not for Omega becoming the bond watch, it wouldnt get the factories focus im sure
  17. I think with the top 3 its all about being around the longest, price, and prestige/exclusivity If they weren't marketed to be luxury since way back things would be different
  18. agreed with "super overpriced", i don't exactly get the fad behind them either
  19. It makes the least amount of sense out of any watch out there, i mean what do the gens cost? About $1000 (that's what I see on a WUS thread) and people buy reps nearing what $250? Around $10/$1 (retail price to rep price) i think is right around minimum ratio that makes any logical sense to me, but i guess lots of people are buying the reps, otherwise they wouldn't have just released another model Besides the price ratio, i just dont get the design I think the design lends itself to the hipsters, but im not even sure they would touch it (might not be far away enough from popularity or cost enough money) But i guess its just me
  20. I'm sure they do marketing research like any company to determine whether or not they think there will be a decent enough market for a rep. I think there would be some apparent sense or reason then, which there clearly isnt I mean why that stupid Tag SpaceX? Pretty dam ugly if you ask me It will probably go the way of the LW one, wont sell well and then they may see it as that Tags no longer sell well, just like how they seem to have given up on Breitling
  21. are you sure they don't do that "Charlie Charlie" thing where you ask yes or no questions to a Mexican demon named Charlie (should it not be Carlos at least since hes Mexican?) With pencils forming a cross and yes and no written on a piece of paper?
  22. Im not talking about the usual AP, PAM, Rolex, or Tudor and to an extent Omega (basically any variation of the Planet Ocean, Seamaster 300, Aqua Terra and a few others) either I mean models that actually haven't been done before and are quite different from models they have already done I personally think every model they do thats different, is different for the wrong reasons Either its ugly as hell and/or looks like the oddest "watch" (i wonder how some can be called watches) out there Or they just choose the wrong model, it doesn't sell well, and then they give up on the brand Until they rep any model from a certain line of a certain brand out there Im decidedly not buying any models brand new, if i do buy any models (it could be a while) of any reps it will likely be m2m If what i want actually pops up m2m when im ready, which isn't very likely since im banned on 2/4 of the rep forums i know of that are any good, and im also picky as to what size watches i like and what models i like and always go full stainless
  23. I think they just released the complete rep
  24. well, ill Be around, but i dont think ill be doing very much around here for a while as there are no reps i want around what i would be willing to spend, and a lot of money will be going to my most expensive "genuine" ever, (Orthodontic) Braces to fix my messed up bite/smile As a side note they are still joking about "fluffy" a lot on bz (limited anonymous no account infiltration)
