I can't do anything about the print on the dial unless I pick another one. I think they all look like that, but thank you. As for the lume dot I did get a pic of the dial alone but who knows maybe something happened during the install, ill ask. Diff pushers!?! I'm so glad I asked you all for input. Is it really just in the first pic? I can't tell but maybe he swapped the proper one in for the other pics.. weird. I'm not sure how much the pushers are, is that what you meant or for the whole watch?

Thank you, does the dial seem to yellow to anyone?

Hey guys, I ordered a ready made stainless 6265 from phong the other day and just got a few pics of it. I noticed the large second hand is silver so I asked him to swap for a black one with white tip, which he is doing. Does anyone notice anything else that should be changed before he ships it to me? Thanks

Thanks. The lume is horrendous, lol. It would be the only mod I would consider doing.

Ok now I understand. Yes that would look a lot better on the older jumbo's.

Sorry for my ignorance but what is a 2892 with closed canon pins?
-
Thanks! Trusty time, blue face.

The one I had was a royal oak chrono, so I'm not sure if I can compare the thickness, but I meant the overall build quality is very very good and the feel of it is spot on.

Just in, and I'm very impressed. It looks and feels very classy. I used to have a gen and it is hard to tell the difference.. on the wrist anyway

It's actually a 6265 case with 6263 bezel.. someone got a mismatch

Found these pics on the internet and thought hmm.. I promised my dw gold 6263 to donerix but if I had a spare 6265 case set lying around I just might have tried this out. It's different but I like it. http://hennabav.blogspot.ca/2012/03/very-unique-rolex-6265-up-for-auction.html?m=1

I bought the comex one, put a gen t-39 superdome which fit like a glove, and dipped the insert in bleach for a bit.. this is the result which is fine for me.

1675 18K Gold Nipple Dial, so I was wondering...

I would buy it, but no there isn't one. God that's nice. -
I would have, thanks, but I'm getting one from phong with my case.. update; phong and I have decided to go with one of his 727 movements so that he can build the watch for me. When I get it I will just have to put the band on and that's it. I know its not as fun but David needed too much time.to build the mvmt and phong had one ready to go nd the best part is that the serial numbers will be the same on the case and mvmt. Here's a pic of it.

Thanks! I'm trying to exercise patience but its hard.. funny story; I found that case on eBay as everyone knows, and contacted phong yesterday to order a really nice dial and hands for it. I know that David is sending me a dial and hands as well but I wanted a backup or if nicer use David's as the backup.. anyways, phong asked out of curiosity if I had the case to go with the dial and hands. I told him about buying one on eBay and he laid into me a bit saying that he's the best and other cases aren't made as well.. and I should have got it from him. I advised him that his prices are too high and that I spent x amount less on the one I got. I sent him pics of the case. He emailed me back telling me that it was his son who sold me that case on eBay lol what a small world. So now case dial hands pushers crown tube stem and crystal are all from phong. But for less money.

You might want to ask David.. as a last resort.. he is working on my v72 now and had the gold hand set for it lying around, maybe he has the set you need?
-
I'm in, ill take one or two.

Lol, yes its yours. The end links are stamped 57.. but they are permanentely attatched to the bracelet and the plated rivet bracelets don't have numbers stamped on the end links.. one of the reasons that I decided to get a solid 18k case is because his plating was slightly darker in color than the bracelet I had bought. So it didn't match 100%. If you can find one that is 14k I think it would maybe match better, although Freddy has the plated gen bracelet and the dw case and from his pics it seems to be a perfect match. Maybe you can ask him if his is 18k plated gen or 14. Good luck.

I dipped my insert in bleach for about 4mins and now it looks aged.. maybe you should do it but not as long, I think mine came out a bit too faded. Still, I like the look better than the shiny new insert. I've seen the real ones both ways but some owners gave their watches for service and Rolex swapped their insert for a new one.

Thanks, funny enough I never really saw the point in building a Franken on my own and have always just bought them from others who put all the hard work in.. this is my first official full project and I guess I'm going for the moon lol. I hope it turns out and ends up looking like this

The dw gold is redundant at this point so I will save it for you. I'm actually building my grail watch, I've wanted a gold vintage Daytona for a very long time and It seems like all the pieces are falling into place now. I won't wear it very often but when I do, I'm pretty sure I'm going to get some unwanted attention,, oh well goes with the territory.

Yes definitely all in! Update; purchased an 18k solid gold rep case that comes with gen pushers crown and crystal. Was from a reputable fellow on eBay. Here are a few pics. They will engrave the serial numbers and ship it. Now I just need David to come through with the mvmt dial and hands and I'm done. I'll update when I get the case.
