  1. Thanks, buddy. Actually, I did read that the latest v6 is the best version...which was strange since it is actually less costly than the previous version. I think this version is up for rep of the year nomination. By the way, I tried on the gen the other day, and the datewheel cut out was surprisingly as crude as the reps.
  2. Really slow...trying to be patient. Especially reading how some members get their watch in the mail just 3-4 days after paying. It's been a week and a half since I made full payment, and QC pics are still wrong (wrong datewheel color and hour markers are crooked). It bugged me a little bit that they tried to send me pics of the same watch the second QC round, but I'm sure Angus is trying to work things out. Just need to be really patient......
  3. Anyone know if there is a "best version" of the grand carrera 36rs? Any major faults or tells?
  4. Seriously nobody is willing to help me out on this?
  5. I agree. There's probably a reason the mods haven't implemented such a list already.
  6. Spacing between the Omega logo and the "Omega" word looks a little big. And the placement of the bezel pearl looks a little low on in the triangle (I'd ask for closer and clearer pics of this).
  7. So I was interested in Hublot recently, since I saw all these great pictures of it on the forums. The one that caught my eye was the SS case with ceramic bezel. But I couldn't seem to make sense of all the versions. From what I can tell there seem to be two main versions of it: - one version that costs about $500 - one versions, the "evolution" that costs about $400 (seems strange why a more accurate version would cost less) But reading through the threads, I found that there is another version people are referring to, called the "v6"? And some websites even have a "v7"! It looks like there is only one gen version, 301.SM.1770.RX - which is the most accurate replica of it? Can someone please help educate me? Thanks.
  8. Man this pictures are so pretty it almost hurts! Wish they had a good rep of that dial!
  9. I agree that a Luminor without the CG looks a little out of place...
  10. I'd like to know, too. I'm also curious as to how easy it is to adjust the bracelet - is taking links out pretty easy? Doesn't seem like there are the screw-in pins...

You know, I'm actually wondering if this rep is good enough to pass with the general public (in other words, people not on this forum or people who nitpick every detail on the watch! :-D)
  12. That's the dream combination right there. Enjoy that beauty!

Good point, thanks. The engine turning pattern still bothers me a bit...
  14. Great, congrats! A great rep to start out with as it's close to the original. Who did you order from?

I assume the cote de Geneva stripes are the horizontal patterns along the movement back? But what is the engine turning? The weird grooves I was referring to were actually the diagonal patterns in between each horizontal section. I can't seem to find those in gen pics...or is that just some trick of the lighting? Bottom line, is this a good rep I should accept? Thanks.

Yeah, I haven't seen too many 183s in the wild either, which is sort of why I like this model. But these lugs look a little too long to me as well...maybe they just aren't tightened properly?

Can you help a newbie out; where is it lacking? Thanks.
  18. Hey guys, thought I'd ping you guys since I'm a relative PAM newbie. Does this look OK? A few things that caught my eye... Is the sandwich lume "too green"? It seems a lighter hue when compares with gen pictures. Does the crystal have any AR? Is the movement supposed to have those funny grooves on the flat metal areas? Appreciate it, guys.
  19. Well it's about time. One's got to think this model is easier to rep than a lot of other models. Any other dealers carry it also? If Josh has it I'd imagine Trusty has it as well.
