As for the panerai bit, I think I speak for all those who thought a Panerai was the ugliest piece of metal revived from the 40s. They were soon wrong after getting their first PAM. After that, just hope you're not hit by the strap bug. It'll be a nasty infection. Soon, you wake up thinking of what strap to start your day. Start with the PAM111. Davidsen sells all those modded pams and it's quite simply worth the money. Hope that helps...

That is one badass rollie...I understand it entirely. It's the same thing with the PAMs. I thought they were the hideous watches I'd ever seen but once both the watch and yourself are one that's when you've been bitten by the bug. Enjoy it lad...as gross as it may be:P

The best replica you can find on the boards is the one that you can comfortably wear on your wrist without having to think if you are able to pull it off successfully. You can have an heavily modded vintage MBW 1665 SRSD and still not have the personal confidence...it'll turn to be as good as a canal street replica. Get the one that you can envision wearing on and on without having to think it's a rep. That would IMHO the best rep. If compare with the original article, the LV would be your best bet. To add on, Rolex is the most copied model on the face of the earth. Most people would look at the person wearing a rolex rather that look at the rolex that the person wearing. As it would turn out, a cleaner wearing a rolex would definitely scream fake as that's how it is in reality. Cleaners don't just have spare change in their pockets and visit the AD to get theirself a sub either in SS or full gold. They would have other pressing concerns to spend their money on. However, if you don't mind getting called out by a watch-idiot-savant(WIS), then by all means get the rolex. Most watches if not all purchased out of the box from our dealers do have flaws unless you have the $$ and resources to mod them to perfection. It's all in the mind I tell ya. If you want an almost perfect rep, get Angus's Chronomat Evo or Steelfish. By far the best rep I've seen in ages although I don't personally own it. Might be wrong on that since I don't own it but it seems to me that the consensus on the board is that it is one of the best. Hope that helps and good luck on your first purchase!

Have an Asian 7750 chrono that doesn't reset back to 12. It is a 12, 9, 6 model with day/date. The chrono secs start and reset at 2. Any ideas to fix this?

What happens in these boards stays in the boards. Don't be foolish and do something like that. You're ruining the whole rep scene by bringing a rep to the AD and mentioning you got it from the net. I don't know about you but if that inquisitive bugger would visit google and by some weird twist of luck...he'd be here reading this post after clicking the correct links. Don't play with probability. Many have become millionaires because of the word called luck. And it is that same luck that would ruin our expensive and risky hobby.

Guys would you trust endless board reviews of dealers in RWG or some unknown [censored] Johnson(pun unintended) from California and Susie Perkins from the London claiming lightning fast delieveries and amazing gen type of quality. My answer is the former. Stay clear from these sites. Get from our dealers.
