  1. Aside from the blue tint I cannot see a difference, either. Thanks for the help thus far, guys.

Just FYI, there has been a debate of the quality of the the Noob FC case vs the J12 FC case.

I have seen genuine 44FC cases that are more glossy, and some more matte in finishing.

The forged carbon material can be rather organic in this aspect, displaying variance in the marbling, glossiness, and of course, the "grains"..

Having said that, the 44mm FC ROO is one of the best reps for the ROO to be released, you cannot go wrong with that. I would recommend it over the J12 RG ROO 44mm, both in terms of accuracy and versatility. Pick either version and you would likely be happy and not crave for the other. :)

oh, and welcome to the addictive world of reps. ;)

  2. Id personally go for FC at age 27. But get the J12 version instead of the Noob. The Noob has a few inaccuracies compared to the J12 44 FC.

Can I know what inaccuracies are on the Noob FC? I personally think it looks good too except for that blue cyclops tint.

Both the Noob and J12 have their own flaws but overall, its a very well-repped watch. :)

  3. Don't tempt me Mr A!! I did see that one, it is a really beautiful watch. My question, is this a rep of a real AP or is this a fantasy?

    Dear A

To be honest, when I first saw the rep, I thought it was a fantasy.

Then, someone told me that it was a rep of an actual gen, and I went to do some research and learnt something new..

So yes, this is a rep of an existing, but less known gen.. which means, rare in the wild. Take the plunge already A.

They don't call you Mr. Moneybags for nothing. ;)

  4. Thanks very much guys, This is and amazing place, I learn something new every time I log on here. Another thing that I have found, which is something that we try to impart in noobs when they first arrive, is that if you have intellectual curiosity, the answer is out there!! I quite often read something here, and then "Google" it and you would be amazed at the wealth of information there is out there. Sometimes it's a little difficult to separate the grain from the chaff, but everything increases your knowledge base.

This group of AP's is probably all that I will get, I feel like I have most of the bases covered. The 44mm ROO's are just a little too big for me, so these should fill the bill. I have discovered one thing, I was not liking my ROO chronos at all, just too uncomfortable, and then I tried one with a tang buckle rather than the deployant, made all the difference in the world.

    A, well said

  5. This time last year didn't have a single AP. Saw the FC diver , liked it, bought one, rest is history.

    Lovely collection A.

You got a watch for every occasion there. Actually, from your choice of APs, I could tell that you have very refined, but conservative tastes in watches.

The FC diver is the only watch to have any color besides black, white, and monochromatic metal themes (steel, gold, etc). I am guessing that you bought it for the forged carbon case more than the yellow :D

Anyhow, you are a guy I openly respect for the pearls of wisdom you dispense from time to time, and your proclivity to express yourself in enlightening, objective and mature manners. I have always enjoyed your posts, A, and now, I see how that collection fits the man to a T.

Kudos to you for the excellent collection, wear them all well!

  6. Hello all! I just discovered your forum, and can see already that there is much to learn.

I actually have had a love of watches for quite a long time, but primarily from an aesthetic and functional standpoint, knowing little of different movements or types of watches. The genuine scene seemed to be outside of my resource availability, and the replica scene seemed to also be out of my range and I didn't pay much attention to it. However I was buying a couple inexpensive watches, and one arrived in the mail and turned out to be a replica Tag Heuer Grand Carerra Calibre 17 RS2, which I was definitely not anticipating. This in turn led me to turn my attention back to the replica scene, and WOW talk about jumping into the deep end.

There is so much to learn, and to appreciate of some members time and efforts.

Hello! I'm sure once I digest enough base information I will be here for quite some time.

    Cheers from Canada!

Welcome to RWG and I hope you enjoy your stay here.

Just curious, could you share details of how you ended up with a replica Tag Heuer, which I am assuming you did not order? ;)

Interesting way to start the hobby.

  7. Talked with my daughter today on the sat Phone and she Said she wanted to join this forum and i Said you sure ??? We all a bunch of old guys who like watches and talk about economics boobs and cars its not for you hahahaha

we would welcome her my fellow falcon brother.

We would be happy to watch her watch watches

  8. Yes we are bro! But you lived here so what does that makes you?  :bangin:

 I never claimed I was more normal than either you or that other barbie doll playing dutchman.

And there was a reason I decided not to live in Holland anymore. :D :D

I suspect it was the maatjesharing because both my neighbors who lived on either side, they would show their hospitality by offering me plenty and plenty of herring after I told them once that I loved it. Very very nice people of course, but it seemed that they keep forgetting that they offered me haring the day before, and last week, and so on..   :g:  :fool:

  9. What about the RG bracelet?

I think the RG APROO 2014 id coming and this is just a test to see if they can make a decent RG case... ;)

Hmm RG bracelet is ok, but the thing about RG ROOs is that the weight difference is always very significant.

I had a gen RG rubberclad and that thing is heavy. I accidentally brained 1-2 waitresses when I swung my hand in the restaurant when describing how awesome RWG is to my dinner companion.

Are you looking to get this one Mark?? ;)

  11. 100%

For the most part I walk around in under armor tee shorts and nikes

Yes I hope out of a bentkey Lambo or whatever but when people can't see it they judge until they see my watch

    I hate judgemental people

And we should never judge a book by its cover!

My friend is a billionaire and you'd never know!

I find this place fascinating and I don't judge you guys :)

Men cloaked with both wealth and humility have the right values in place for the achievement of greatness.

  12. Good to know! I love the look of the Doha though so I'm willing to look past the inaccuracies. I'll likely end up with one of those at some point soon.

Not a huge fan of the Schumi just yet. I'll wait and see if a V2 comes out and maybe I'll scoop one.

scoop. That word never fail to make me think of ice cream.

Post pics when you get em' watches, or it never happened! ;)

  13. Hahaha don't worry I'm done searching for unicorn city. I was browsing through the forum today and saw you're selling a strap that you were going to put on your Doha ROO. Do you have any wrist shots of the Doha? What do you think of it? I was thinking about buying one of those. Are you selling yours?

    Doha..

Well its a rather lovely looking ROO, with the distinction as being one of the very few with a sunburst, non tapisserie dial, best described as being dark silver in color.

I love the combination of that dial with red and white hands, and raised shiny steel markers. It is a beautiful watch, but quite flawed in terms of the "5" spacing from the 6 0'clock subdial edge, the "10" and "11" spacing, the "8" cut off point, and the huge ass AP logo. I wore it for a while. Flaws aside, it is a beautiful watch by its own, if you do not consider its accuracy in details vs the gen. I have sold the watch to a friend locally a few weeks back.

I would recommend you not to buy the watch if accuracy to gen matters to you. The 2014 42mm models are much better choices. Alternatively, I would recommend the Schumacher for consideration, though I am expecting a next iteration, otherwise known as the V2, to be released.

I could not help you with unicorn hunting, but where ROOs are concerned, perhaps I could offer some humble help to you. ;)

  14. I'm already pretty stoked for it and I didn't even order yet! So I believe it lol

And nahhh not anymore haha I'm actually saving up for a gen! Definitely not gonna be a fast thing but I've got time   ;)

I shall be here at your service, as long as you don't ask again where unicorn city is ok?

I would be happy to answer all your questions which are legit pertaining to AP reps.

But if you ask me where to do a solid gold AP case, then.... :bangin:  :bangin:  :bangin:
