  1. No where in my post did I even suggest this individual was a scammer. Read more carefully.

I made a comment regarding this exact scenario weeks ago and pan continued the comment I made, in a joking manner. In fact the majority of the posts in this thread are complaining about the exact thing I mentioned in my recent post.

Buyers that waste time like this guy should be called out. Maybe we can slowly clean up the "paying" tire kickers.

+1. It is one thing to change one's mind, but to do so without informing the seller is what irks me.

Having said that, I have been guilty of "mind-changing" a few times here, both as the buyer and the seller.

I am trying to learn to improve my communication and not be a pain to others. ;)

  2. Tony,

I think I have to call your bluff.

That day you eagerly PMed me asking me about this piece specifically, and told me you were going to purchase 4, two for each wrist.

I asked you "what about the ankles then?" and you told me that you asked Angus about it and he did not have a bracelet long enough to go around them..

    Hmmm...  ;)

  3. How are the Diamonds? Would it be a good mod to switch these with real diamonds? (Not as expensive as it sounds lol)

I was also thinking about the brush edges of the push "guards".. Would you polish them?

    Cheers!!

Because the diamonds are very small in the first place, i think that it's pointless to have them replaced by real ones. Besides, the diamonds do look sparkle in bright light and I'm happy with the way they look.

Yes I know that the pusher guard edges are polished on the gen and brushed on the rep, but I actually like the way the finish on the rep and won't be polishing them.

The hands are actually darker in real life than they look on the TD websites, but can look bright blue in sunlight. I'll do a bit of research on the color to decide if they need recoloring. ;)

  4. That is very nice. The V7 is miles better than the v5.1.

In forum pics yes A, "miles apart" does apply to a reasonable extent.

The V7 is a lovely watch also in real life, I just saw one on the wrist of my friend.

But honestly, with so many iterations, V1-V7 and those in between (V3.5, V4.1, V5.1 etc), I would be hard pressed to tell the later versions apart, especially for modded units, when I spot a diver, gen or otherwise, on someone's wrist. Perhaps it is just not my bailiwick (cue member folex, where are you bro?  ;))

I like the diver, and could not justify spending the money on a gen, given the steadily improving quality of the reps.

Thanks to my discussion with member folex over the "white border issue" for the inner bezel numbers, I would be holding off purchasing the ss diver until this is resolved. :D

  5. Hi guys I was just browsing the net for info about movements and came across this site and would like to know if anyone has ever heard of it or used it? I'm curious what everyone thinks?

I wouldn't buy from anyone that isn't in the trusted dealer sections but I'm still curious about this site. They claim to have the best and most accurate movements, offer a standard 2 year warranty that can be upgraded to 4 years and guarantee all watches are waterproof for 100-300 meters? I've never heard of this before.

I look forward to hear what everyone has to say check it out and tell me what you guys think:

The pics on the website are all showing genuine watches.

But I doubt that the actual products are anywhere close.

Having been in this hobby for a good number of years, I doubt we missed much.

This website is totally unethical at best, and a low scum scammer is probably a better description.

Stay far away, and stick to the dealers here, and knowledge on the forums.

Question: Suppose that the watches sold on the website are 100% as good as genuine ones, even appearing 1:1 under the jeweller loupe, then why not sell it for 20% cheaper on ebay instead of such ridiculously low prices? Does it make sense at all to anyone with half a brain? ;)

  6. I have handled and tested this watch for Mr J, and it is a truly beautiful piece. Yes it qualifies as a genestein or at the very least a super franken.

    Remarkable in every way.

And Mr J, it has been a pleasure meeting and speaking with you in Singapore.

You need to call on me more often, it would be a pleasure hanging out with you any day. ;)

  7. It's a top-plate decoration - but yes, it looks VERY good, and improvements like this are always good to see!

    Get it - great watch!

Upon casual inspection, the A3120 movement decoration looks good.

However, if you study it more carefully, the decoration still has a lot of room for improvement.

It is a good effort by Noob though, as we move a step closer toward visual replication of AP calibre movements.

But at the end of the day, the caseback would be seen mostly by the wearer of the watch, and is more for aesthetic pleasure than actual accuracy. ;)

  8. I'm with Legend - I think the Le Bron is awesome as well as the Schumi RG-  I've ordered both but from what I can tell they won't ship for another week or so.  The  titanium Schumi is great and I expect the RG to be better.  Still on the fence about ordering the RG white case with RG bracelet AP- anyone have any feedback on that RG bracelet?

S, I have ordered the LBJ too, I think it has a very nice color and material combination. :)

May I ask what you meant by "RG white case" w RG bracelet? ;)
