What you could do, is to buy the V2, and I can show you how to mod it.. my friend AJ from UK did a superb job of the dial mod for mine.

The watch that the strap was originally made for.. but its versatile and I do use it on my 44mm Panda as well.

Thats a GP strap for the 44mm cases.  You sure the deployant would fit? I thought that AP deployants are about 18mm. 

That strap would go nicely on any of your 44mm ROOs, wear her well.

Looks like a PAM001 B series, and looks good to me..

I would say Gen but the shape of the case looks a bit different to me..

In this aspect, I would it leave it to the real Panerai gurus to comment.

I'm mostly a lurker on this forum but I enjoy it more everytime I visit. Been a long time member over at the RG though.

Wanted to show what I had Domi put together for me a while ago.

The watch is based of a V4 Chronopassion in solid Titanium.

Now over the the specs:

Case - Solid Titanium rep

Movement - Brand New LWO 39 jewels with Dubois-Depraz Chrono Module

Custom datewheel with gen font

Dial and Tachy Bezel - Brand New Deep blue Genuine Audemars Piguet

Crystal - AR coated rep crystal

Strap - rep Rubber with AP signed buckle.

The watch runs super smooth, keeps great time and the chrono features work perfectly!

The chrono pushers work flawlessly and are easy to activate, not hard to push in like A7750 movements or some of the reps around that make a nasty noise when pushed.... Tried to sell it over at the RG but its such a powerful piece its hard to part with.

 

What would really complete this are gen hands. To me, this is a significant tell of any rep ROO, but its just me.

Yes. I did and still own some frankens and gens. Sadly, 2 of my frankens were sold because I could not find gen hands to complete the set.

Having said that, yours is a very nice piece by itself. Enjoy her, and wear her well!

Any idea what went into making it WR to 6atm?

I know it involved the changing and greasing of gaskets and seals, and of course, the obligatory pressure testing to 6atm.

Awesome look on the strap!   I have a distressed olive green canvas strap ordered for mine.

Lol hey P, a guy like you gets and mods his own watches, if I remember correctly.

Though you always got a good eye for what goes on your wrist.

I bought this magnificent beauty from Psychospike over at RWI. 

She was then sent for servicing, waterproofing to 6atm, and has her datewheel centered on the dial. 

The crownguard lever was also tightened to adjusted a little to snap shut when closing. The movement has been calibrated to within +2 sec a day.

She is then put on a Simona "Bronzo strap. The color of the strap, a dirty green-brown-olive, complements the dial perfectly. The stitches of the strap is a coppery brown, matching the case very well. To top it off, the strap comes with a bronze buckle to finish off the watch flawlessly when worn on the wrist.

Maybe that faulty dial makes it really rare?

Could also be he bought it back in 1970, a Seiko quartz was as expensive as a Toyota Corolla those days....

No he said that he bought is "just yesterday" which translates to the day before, since I saw his post was put up yesterday. 

I do not even see a brand on the dial, which either means that its far too exotic for my knowledge or that...he needs a new job as stated previously.
