  1. It is good to return again to such a awesome news!

I would just like to say that Mike has been a very helpful and kind soul, and spent a lot of his time dedicated to helping other members, patrolling the sales forum to keep it safe, and was a central pillar of support during the ugly MD2020 saga. Almost ubiquitous in RWG, Mike has shown himself to be highly dependable and tireless in rendering his service to the boards. With him, RWG has evolved to be a better and safer place for us all.

So thank you Mike, and congratulations on the official appointment. It is well-deserved, and could not have gone to a better guy.

When you buy that round of drinks, I would like to be there, invited or not. :D

  2. Glad to see you back buddy. Hope that all is well with you.

AFA the ROO 44mm's they are beautiful watches, but just too big for me!!

    Hey thks Big A..

but you probably got a bigger wrist than mine, and I wear the 44mm rather comfortably. I guess its a matter of personal preference (and yes wrist vanity) ;)

  3. Sorry guys, I was dealing with some issues in the family..

The dial on the noob is better for me. The "ring" at the outer circumference of the dial, next to the tachy, is an obvious tell for me, given the length of the markers.

The Noob one has the correct length. Having said that, the dial texture on the J12 seems to have better finish.

I would pick the noob one ultimately, but its a close call.

  4. I assume you're talking about the deployant clasp. There is just one tiny screw holding the contraption in place. Just unscrew it, and push out the rounded short rod. You might need to use some force or a pointed object as the fitting could be tight.

Are you talking about the deployant clasp or the strap? There's only one small screw for the clasp-strap but the strap-end links use a bar and cap combination.

  5. Dear all, just laid my hands on an FC. Looks like an Angus production as carbon forging is like pics but AP logo on crown is centered. I noticed that the lum triangle on bezel is somewhat not straight in any of the reps. It looks as if the triangular edge that is supposed to be positioned at the bottom had beeb position on top left.

But the worst giveaway, don't know if anybody noticed is the datewheel numerals. The number 1 on the gen is "I" and the rep has "1". so 16 for example is printed "I6" on gen and "16" on rep. I was so disappointed.

    Brilliant first post.

If you do not have realistic expectations about replica watches, you should stop what you are doing now, take a moment and drive to the nearest ocean, and throw each replica watch you own into the sea while screaming "wheeeeeee! Another piece of trash gone!" as it goes sailing in an arc toward the ocean.

The first rule of replicas, in my opinion, is not to believe any marketing hype, and not to believe that any "1:1 rep" exists. There are bound to be differences between the genuine and replica models, but also in the price tag! Do you truly expect a $500 rep to be exactly 100% like its $35000 counterpart? Most of us are here, because we can live with the theory that we get about 80-95% of the watch at 1-5% of the price. That is why we are here, and that is why the forum exists. Do not forget, also, that there are several resources available for you to modify and upgrade your watches here.

So have some basic knowledge and realistic expectations. Whining like a child clamouring for candy during lunchtime is not going to score you points here. A lot of guys would tell you and your kind to go buy the genuine watch and stop complaining that your rep is not 1:1.

So, in summary, either grow up or walk away. Return to your world where you walk wide-eyed down in a watch boutique, jaws unhinged, whipping your head left and right ogling at the genuine Audemars Piguets, Hublots, Panerais, and what have yous...and deciding which one you are going to save up for. When you finally purchase it, that will be a true 1:1 watch. Meanwhile, you would not find what you are looking for here. The exit is to the left, if you would.

  6. My bronzo stopped suddenly after 15min when I placed it on the desk. When I picked it up to set the time, I noticed that the hacking lever stopped working too.

I sent it for service and repair and the modder mentioned that he had already repaired 2 bronzos before mine, all with various movement issues.

So yes, there seemed to be an inherent issue with the movement for the Bronzos, I am unsure if this is extended to other ZFactory models using the same movement.

  7. No but if I want to exchange something from Walmart, and that Walmart is closed I can always go to another Walmart store to get information about it right? Thanks legend for this helpful attribution to this topic! You really are a legend I must say

Lol actually both you and I know I was just being facetitious.. no offense meant and I hope no umbrage taken.

I am far from being a legend anywhere.

P.S. I have periodical difficulties logging on to RG too. Banned without reason from time to time. ;)

  8. HA!!! I like to be bold, thanks man :) But on a serious note, it really made them so much more modern looking with the black date wheel !

PS, I prefer the older forged carbon tech/cases and look compared to the new... older had way more raw carbon look, and grain. New less marble, little more plastic looking/feeling

well, I agree totally. Man of good taste. ;)

  9. Yours pictured is a rep? Holy shit thats so good, hard to tell.. Here is my genuine GP :)

    photo_3_5.jpg

Lol thats a gen as well my friend! :)

I do have a highly modded rep currently with Domi.. when that comes back, I shall post side by side pics.

But of course, the caseback view would give it all away!

  10. Here ya go, this was about 3 weeks ago. Since getting to ny, it has lightened up over the weeks... Funny the difference in air. The patina actually lightened up a great deal, again, never been in a solution, water, salt water yet!!

yes as expected, it has the deep copperish hue, which I adore.. well done! :)
