  1. sir, if every noob was like you, there would be no need for cuss words and angst among the less patient veterans here Well done you, and enjoy your new and coming watches!!
  2. +1. In fact we should start an entire RWG awards of the month for different categories noob of the month, poster of the month, etc.
  3. Mike, this guy is an exemplary noob.
  4. Firstly, welcome to RWG! Secondly, what you asked is a noob question without a definitive answer, because different members will tell you differently. Try the search function, trust me, the last I checked it 47 sec ago, it was working well. And I just noticed, you are in Guangzhou, the rep capital of the world! Alright then, the best place to buy would be in the city you're currently in. You have the advantage of saving on freight charges on any rep watch you buy.
  5. Puretime is no scam. They have been selling replicas longer than you or I have been buying them. They have been around. You need to manage your own expectations about replicas, from what I am reading, and a list of questions never to ask them. For example, I would not ask (at least not via the instant chat crap stuff) whether the watch is 1:1. The answer would almost always be a resounding firm YES, which is total BS. I also would not rely on the chat system. It sucks harder than a deprived whore at midnight. Also, for every $488 watch you read about that would not get past 55 sec, trust me when I tell you there are many more $388 ones or $188 ones bought years ago and is still running. You need to know that you are buying a rep. There will be occasional issues with our orders, BUT there are several recourses to solving the post-purchase issues. Learn from the veterans here like I did. The simple alternative: Find the address of the closest Rolex AD and make a beeline for it. Problem solved PureTime may be forgotten. LK
  6. I think the bracelet was included as an extra.. it already has a strap affixed, the last time I saw it in the sales thread pics
  7. welcome back, my crazy motherfucker friend! You have been missed...
  8. 10 is too little IMHO Mr T, perhaps 50 would be good.
  9. I agree with fxrandy.. the only thing wrong with TAG Heuer is the TAG.
  10. Hello just so that you know, the AP Royal Oak Offshore model pictured is the Rubberclad, and its supposed to be an automatic watch (self-winding, no battery) I do not know of any variation of the same model in quartz honestly. Forget ebay, mate, you are home now. This is more than a forum.. its a virtual school (yeah sometimes of hard knocks), a madhouse of horological lunatics, a gathering of experts who can tell the differences between the 16million models of Panerai, and above all, this is home to people who enjoy watches, rep or gen. Hang around, and we will learn together
  11. Mike, kudos to you. There's no way I would be able to tell if this was rep or gen just from those pics.
  12. Its definitely a replica. For me, the obvious tell in this, is the spacing between the 6 o'clock subdial and the 9 o'clock one. They are too close together. The fact that all the subdial hands are in motion may mean that either the chronograph has been activated and not stopped, and not an indication that its a rep. And as the guys mentioned, its a quartz movement. To confirm this, you just need to see the movement of the second hand. It would go "tick-tick-tick" from one marker to the next, and not a smooth continuous sweep. I would not spend more than $20 on the repair. And oh, welcome to RWG
  13. speaking of this, Z will pitch a fit when he is back!
  14. its really a shame.. some scum is wearing this beauty right now, or is hoping to sell it. Karma will fall upon him quicker than a meteorite.
  15. My brother, this is an intrusion by a Caucasian who has no idea about the Lunar new year! I am offended! :lol just kidding..
