  1. I think its too wide in diameter and the screw threads run longer on the APBand ones.
  2. The newer sec@12 movements are more reliable, nevertheless, it would be good to get the watch serviced for greater peace of mind.
  3. brother, its true, sometimes we all worry too much about life. I would like to believe that the custom officers would like to own a couple of high end reps themselves. They sure would love a beer, good sex, awesome food like the rest of us, so why not a nice rep watch?
  4. you have come to the right place mate, and you won't get judged. In fact, if you don't buy a rep watch soon, you are likely to get your ass collectively kicked for pure insolence There are many good reps being produced today, and if Omega is your thing, you might wish to look at Rolex and Panerai as well.. They would definitely more than pass casual scrutiny, don't worry.. It is best if you can narrow your choices down and list them here for more specific advice. There are many experts and gurus here who would not hesitate to lend a helping hand where it counts! All the best and enjoy yours stay in RWG, home of the best community online.
  5. they have duck soup in Oz? lol mushroom
  6. Actually, it doesnt look so bad. If you had not pointed it out, it would have taken me a long time to figure out what was wrong with the watch lol. It matters the most when its your watch, and you have to look at it all the time. To the rest, it says "oh ok, another Rolex Submariner".
  7. You, of all people, can always argue about the authenticity of your infamous plastic Rolex as a one-off Rolex anniversary Plastique Edition. Just apply the audacity you show on the boards here to the Italian Customs officers, and you will be sashaying in Rome with a bottle of wine in one hand, a Monica Bellucci clone in the other arm, and of cos, the plastic submariner on your wrist instead of handcuffs attached to a grim faced Polizia di Stato officer on the other end.
  8. For Franken APs, It will not be a road commonly travelled, it will take a lot of patience and effort and time, but the rewards are justified. For a start, a. Swiss 2892 movement + Dubois Depraz module (heart of the franken) b. gen dial + tachy ring c. gen hands (a bitch to find these days) d. modification to the case to allow for crown recess e. pushers rounded off f. gen or aftermarket strap and buckle g. thinner case h. double AR cyclops You need someone to assemble the parts together, and to perform the necessary modifications for you. Domi is one, The Zigmeister is another. You will need a lot of luck and perseverance to build an AP franken. Alternatively, you might find it easier to buy it off someone already owning one.. It would not be cheap though. Expect to spend $3000 onwards...
  9. I think you'll need to buy it off the market mate haha.. loooooooonnnnnnngggggg wait.
  10. nice watch, looks reasonably good from the pics provided.

And enough interesting pictures and signatures to brighten anyone's days.
  12. It can still be the same if photographed with a very good rep on the wrist. From the pictures like the one in the attachment, who could tell?
