Finally I pry the BCE off my wrist in exchange for a true masterpiece: Now, whenever somebody asks foolishly, "who has the best sub?" All I have to do is look at my wrist!

There has been a rumor floating around of a reliable 6-sec 7750 movement ever since they came out with the Breitling seconds at 3. Can anyone share some knowledge about the accuracy of this claim? Because it seems like a no-brainer for the factories to make one.

New Generation of Chronomats Coming Out Soon!
Corgi replied to beanyboy's topic in The Breitling Area
A new generation! Hurray! In replica language, this means 1-2 problems of the original are fixed, and 2-4 strong points of the original are screwed up anew! -
This is a bad idea - criminal even. I'm not sure, but I think you can go to jail if you do that (credit card fraud).

i dunno maybe you should buy the watch that you prefer because the question you ask is one of personal taste

Hello. Welcome to the forum, I love the picture! The airplane is a great prop - I always have trouble finding props for my watch photoshoots - and this gives me an idea... but I won't say what it is yet.. I have to ask, what made you get a Bell and Ross for your first rep? No offense, but most nooblets go for a Rolex, or at the very least Omega. Your decision shows a lot of taste in fine exclusive horology.

Where's Waldo...and Victoria for that matter?
Corgi replied to Toadtorrent's topic in General Discussion
Maybe she has a life? I'm joking of course. I'm sure she's having a really great time... we'll have to ask her if she busts out the collection for guests and visiting family members upon her return. -
I hid it myself because I want the OP, and anyone else here for that matter, to understand the website in question MIGHT be fraudulent.

Offer to pay cash and haggle at the AD. Be merciless, and persistent. Print out the internet thing that states $2300, and show it to them - ask them to match it, if not, go a little higher. You have to fight for it and don't always accept the first offer. Most information I have read argue that ADs can be persuaded to reduce their prices by a good amount.

I think it looks sexy! Can a watch be sexy?? I think so!

Keep it in your cargo luggage, not your on-board luggage (or whatever its called).. They shouldn't care. I remember once brining back a replica Colt 1911 pistol (not a real gun, just looks like it) and nobody gave me any sort of trouble. Mind you, this was in Poland, pre 9/11... things might be different now. But I've always been wondering what the heck those security guards must have been thinking when they see a pistol sliding through X-RAY...... :-D

Thanks for the review. I find the main problem with all of the current Breguet reps available is the lack of dual "secret signatures" which adorn almost all pieces from the brand. They are similar to the little crown Rolex etches into the crystal. I really like your Tourbillon; especially the engraving on the rear movement panel! Breathtaking!!

I would think he mentions it to the buyer before shipping to confirm... but imagine the shock someone would get when he or she buys a watch from him, expecting an homage, and gets a full-fledged rep instead! If it was me, before I discovered this site, I would have been ecstatic!!
-
I think these are actual reps, except the brand logo has been photoshopped out of the pictures. He has some Patek Philippe where the brand name is still visible except on other places on the watch. It's not hard to do using the patch tool - takes 3 secs. Those who know, know; those who don't, get a surprise.

If I can say with certitude that me or my family is risking possible death from an impending assault, then yes I will not stop to bash some skulls open good sir.

The continued Golden Age of Reps and diversity amoung dealers
Corgi replied to fotoman's topic in General Discussion
Same. I always shop with Narikaa now because it's such a no brainer. A long wait in exchange for guaranteed quality and peace of mind. You would have to be insane to shop anywhere else. -

I don't think he carries a "blade" to feel like a "tough guy," I think it is a self-defense tool to be used as a last-resort during a time of emergency. Furthermore, brandishing a weapon and slicing up a crook are two very different variations of the term "use". It is unlikely that most people would need to resort to doing the latter, but when it does happen, it could mean the difference between life and death. I have similar security "systems" strewn discreetly throughout my home for this very purpose. Life in London is very different than life in North America, and while you might not see a need to carry a weapon, somebody living in a heavy crime zone region of the United States surely does.

That is a really amazing watch. Of course, the question is, will it run in 1 month? 3 months? Please keep us updated. Oh, and I love the photo!

That's crazy!

Ha ha I remember when they first came out with those ear-piece cell phone attachments. One day, I was down-town and watching this well-to-do business man shout "businessy" things seemingly to himself while standing outside and flailing his arms. Just as I was beginning to feel bad for the poor man whose brains were probably fried from stress, he turned around and I saw the little gadget on the other side of his head - this, sadly, was not an isolated incident.

Once again: Where the h*ll is Tudor Tiger Chrono rep?
Corgi replied to By-Tor's topic in The Rolex Area
LINK $2,750 I say, if you really like it that much, go for it. I doubt our rep manufacturers will go to the trouble of making a watch that actually looks nice. The latest trend with super reps seems to be "the uglier, the more rubber, the better!" -
You're right! You have a Smart car, adidas tracksuit, and chihuahua to bark away your assailants!

I really like the Breguet Trans-Atlantique but only in rose gold. Also, it's hella expensive. I suppose once the bracelet starts a-peelin' I could swap it for a strap, but then I need a pin removal tool, and a strap with matching buckle which will be impossible to find - it's just too much effort for a timepiece with such huge flaws.
