The chrono watch has a small running seconds subdial that always runs (BCE location at 9:00). The large chrono seconds moves only when chrono pusher is activated.
Some watches have it opposite - the large seconds hand is used for time telling and small one for chrono - but not here.
At 3:00 into this film you are given a video of how your BCE should operate:

For me the question is rep vs. homage. For the vintages this is an easy decision since there are not many reps of the omega seamaster 300 or blancpains. However,,,recently I've been into the blue dialed two tone rolex sub,,at least after reading By-Tor's review I was hooked. Now what? I can spend around 400 (usd) on a nice rep or pay the same price for a gen homage (Debaufre makes a nice one)? The homage has the exact look but the movement is definatly Swiss, a warranty, WR to 300 m, great lum and presentation box. The only (at least the only one I can think of) reason to get the rep is to have Rolex on the dial. What I would really like to do is get both and make a direct comparison but right now I'm siding on the homage.
Most Timezone.com wristwatch aficionados argue that an homage is just as "pathetic" (their words) as having a true, labeled Replica. I have Joshua's two-tone sub with the xxxtra thick gold plating and it's a marvelous watch. No warranty, dubious untested 50m supposed waterproof; but more women stare at it than any other piece in my collection. This, to me, beats a knock-off gen any day of the week.

This has been discussed before... why is there a second thread made about it?
If people wanna sell overpriced things then it is my duty, as an aspiring AMERICAN, to make others aware!
-
Is the date wheel supposed to be so low or is it just a camera trick?
-
edit: beaten
a rep already exists. see post 21.
-
I was just on Joshua's site and he has a new "second updated" Cartier Santos 100 with what I believe to be a 1:1 dial; the automatic font is sorted and the "swiss made" is spaced apart correctly. The hands have also been changed to the correct blue, and the strap upgraded.
The movement may or may not be a real ETA though - because the current trend is for copy mov'ts.
I'm happy with mine despite it's flaws - its a great watch. Recommended.

I think the BCE looks good on a strap too though... you may try getting a strap for it and be pleasantly surprised.
Yes, Chinese gold has been and always will be a great big joke at everybody's expense. Only buy 14K "wrap" options (unavail for this model) and stay far, far away from the junk 18K plate...
-
The subdial spacing is a problem. It is very incorrect (too wide).
I personally am not a huge fan of this timepiece myself... though I'm sure if you like it then you should get the rep, since it's unlikely a better one with correct subdial spacing will be released in the future.

If this were true than Tag Heuer would have a serious problem with their "Tiger Woods" line...
-
I'll take some more artsy photos in May after the madness winds down...
I've also been debating whether or not I should invest in a "lello" datewheel for this watch. What do you think? I've compared it with the gen on Breitling's official site and honestly I can't tell the difference except for the date font.

(by the way I went to Tudor's website, they have some pretty good kinda funky baroque sounding music, I like
)
Yes... the same 3-minute generic jazz music looping over and over again while you browse is a nice touch.

I often bought genuine boxes for 50 or 60$ more than from the rep dealers.
Patek Philippe is one of the brands producing the most expensive watches in the world. A genuine (modern) box in fair-good condition would cost no less than $500 and I've even seen damaged, vintage pouches at that price.
A word of warning on the MBK Nautilus. Several members report the movements are not what they claim to be; mine has an 8 hour power reserve... be cautious.
-
I really like the new stuff Tudor is releasing. Had a chance to try one of these on; beautiful solid gold two tone submariner style piece - and an amazing value costing about $2700. They feel heavy, and solid. I would consider getting a gen in TT with diamond markers. I'm surprised they don't have much of a following.

Mickey's kicking your ass...
Ha ha... I've been very very busy with work and I'm exhausted to the max
The only thing keeping me from getting this is the old asian 7750 movement is said to be extremely unreliable.
-
Hey; if you're 13 and idolize "50 cent" then this is what you buy right.
-
oh sure this one's very well known. I would rather spend the same money on a Patek repeater or perpetual calendar but this is definitely a serious collector's piece
-
I went on watchmark's site and there was no such watch listed at that price...
-
hi
can you please confirm the movement is 28,800
...also can you provide a link to the watch you got?
-
I'm quite sure I've got a very crappy old ETA in it. Sooner or later, I'll send it to The Zigmeister to either swap it or have it restored.
It's pretty anoying for a 500$ watch though, if I oversleep, I found a stopped watch when I wake up...
[censored] it all to hell its the last MBK i buy... mark my words.....

Same thing here with my nautilus MBK... it has a 8h power reserve
edit: still a terrific rep though, my daily beater, I love it.
FastTap...
When I read this I was like "oh.. my God... we've been duped! bamboozled! screwed royal!"
My Nautilus, you wouldn't believe it, also has an 8 hour power reserve... meaning that it must therefore use some garbage miscellaneous Asian movement.
I am shocked. I just thought that I didn't wear mine enough (but red flags were going up now that I have a BCE ultimate, it is running constantly for about a week and my activity is pretty much at the couch potato level.) but this CONFIRMS the fact that something is TERRIBLY TERRIBLY WRONG WITH THE RECENTLY RELEASED MBK NAUTILUS WATCH.
Are there any more people here who have the same problem?
-
Is it actually made by Breitling or is it just a "borrowed" design? If you look at the watches behind the counter at your local Sears you'll probably find many watches with an appearance that mimics luxury swiss brands quite precisely.

"I'll have the peanuts, headset, pillow, and... one Rolex Explorer II please."

these are classic goon watches

The Nautilus and Aquanaut both have their flaws, but right now they are some of the best REPS (not just PP reps) available in terms of quality and fit and finish..
