Where I live, Ottawa: Canada, the watch dealers are so clueless that most couldn't tell a replica just by its appearance on the wrist. Honestly, some of the people here behind the counter are so uneducated... I remember asking the lady how many "jewels were in the daytona" and then she emitted the most positively confused stare and responded "this one doesn't come with diamonds, but you can get one with diamonds, I can order one for you if you want... is that what you want?" Another time I was trying on a Tissot at a less expensive store, automatic, and started wobbling it back and forth to wind it up so I could see how the hand swept. I got the typical reply... "Be careful... what are doing shaking it like that... dont break it" A few weeks later, at the same store, a lady told me the same Tissot was apparently non-functional most likely because the battery was dead. Back to a luxury Breitling dealer in the city's core and single Breitling AD: The salesman spends about 5 minutes trying to unhinge the bracelet on a navitimer. Of course, I asked to see the Chronomat.....

This forum does not exist (apparently !)

That is one link that surfaces on rep sites once every... two months -
Ugliest wristwatch to devote so much time into accurately copying... sorry.... It's probably very accurate, etc... but when the genuine looks like a failed science experiment... Yuk

Bell & Ross.. I don't get why people like these things, they are in line with the Hublot Big "ugly" Bang in terms of sheer fugliness.
-
I agree - I once went into the trading forum and saw one of those $500 submariners that was "one year old but it had a genuine crown and genuine hologram and genuine hands etc" It's so silly...... Joshua is my man - I've never strayed from him; he is a good dealer... I don't have enough trust to do trading with other members. Narikaa is the only exception. She is A-OK....

****Win A Hublot Big Bang or Xbox 360 for a Dollar****

You say you "came accross" the xbox and then you say Josh paid $200 for the xbox... which is it? I bought one ticket despite this inconcsistency. -
Hey Zed! Nice to see you came to RWG2! I was hoping you would come... so we could enjoy our gold fetish together.... Anyway, this week I am wearing my PP dua-side sun-moon - nothing like $1,000,000 bling.... yellow gold of course.....

It's such an ugly watch... If it cost $98 on special for one day, I still wouldn't buy one - I'm serious!
-
Lucky for me I hate the HBB and AP ROO (Whatever tf that is... I hate all AP) so I'm sticking with Joshua's 98$-200$ reps that are very beautiful and great.

Canada customs opened my package once, it contained a VC tourbillion rep I purchased from one of the dealers on this board. They argued the value of the watch to be exactly "$66.73" and charged me "$17.48" in customs fees.

3 years of investigations.... RCMP: "1 down, thousands more to go!"

It's not quite April Fools here in Canada yet... but I fell for the gag too! Luckily, it seems like I'm not the only one!!!

Josh supplies the watch... like I said... it makes a splash wherever you go.

I think an important step would be to list the watches which these dealers are trying to sell exploitatively, and in big red text on every one of these forums exercise a boycott of them. The dealers will get the message the only way they can see it... but that is an extreme measure to be taken here. I have had nothing but good experiences with Joshua. All of the watches he has sent me run well, keep good time, and all work well so far *knock on wood*. Inside all of the watches are ETA if listed ETA, asian 21J if listed as such, etc... no lies. He has displayed to me nothing but pure kindness which I must forward to members visiting this thread. I don't know if it means much coming from me, Corgi, a dog of all things, but I can tell you that Joshua is a good dealer who is certainly trustworthy and kind. All of the dealers on this message board have had threads pop up accusing them of perpetrating a fraud in some way or another - with these four gentlemen, it's obvious something would come up, but in a much bigger fashion. Anyway... all I can say is that I can't way to get more clocks from my main man in chi-town, Josh, who has been a trusted partner throughout my voyage into the replica world.

Maybe they just upped the prices because they've decided to do something about improving quality control?
-
For somebody like myself who wants to purchase a rep TT sub from Josh, do you think it has the correct ETA movement as per the description or do you think it has the $2 movement?
-
It would be fun if somebody who lived nearby in London payed the house a visit....
-
I sent my watch back to China a month and half ago... nothing yet, though Joshua was kind enough to give me the benefit of the doubt eventually. He's a super guy.
-
Lucky... Though I can't complain, I bought a 7750 a few weeks ago and its awesome, but it's the correct seconds at 9:00 model...
-
It's almost as ugly as a Hublot Big Bang. Almost.

Anyone have watch confiscated or threatened at AD?
Corgi replied to jomama's topic in General Discussion
I believe that I have once been the intended target for an AD's confiscation. It all happened a few months ago when I walked into a local Rolex dealership wearing my new (beautiful) Rolex Turn-O-Graph from Joshua. As I was switching it from my left hand to right hand, the guy behind the counter, let's call him Muhammed, noticed it. Interested, he started telling me what a great choice I had made to buy the TOG, that it was unique and original; his eyes obviously gleaming and ready to make a sale. You don't see many Rolexes in my little hick town (ottawa, canada) unless they're behind the counter of Muhammed's store! He then asked for me to let him take a look at the watch. I told him that "after one incident involving a dropped watch, Im careful to pass it around." Dissapointed, he continued to try very very hard to sell me a Daytona. I mean really, he was treating me like Royalty so I guess maybe he bought it... but for a second there I was very nervous, as you can imagine... thank you for listening -
What a collection!

I personally don't like watch winders. To me, if you need a winder, automatic watches are not for you! The fun in automatics is keeping them alive by winding them, wearing them... at least for me!

I have the same copernicus. It writes so good I bought another, the diamond-encrusted version from Joshua.
