  1. I'm glad to hear the board is celebrating its first tomorrow. I know that it's the first of many more to come... this message board is a little different form the others; it's a little more friendly. I remember the first time I tried to post a 'noobish' query on another forum - that turned into quite the argument. There seems to be a friendly atmosphere here incomparable to that of other message boards. God bless the staff for keeping it alive!!
  2. Frankly... I'm not surprised.
  3. Yesterday was a historic occasion for Perfect-Clones, marking the arrival of the replica with the most functioning complacations. Interesting as a design experiment, but questionable as an aesthetic one. Could this be the starting point for good things to come in '07?
  4. Is it available to Canadians?
  5. TTK now there is somebody mysterious. I both PMed him and e-mailed him with a serious request to purchase a watch but no replies... I guess he is too rich already to take orders or what??
  6. This looks like the contraptions they sell at my local department store in the "$50 dollars or less" jewelry department. Suffice to say I think it would look good only on a child under 16 years of age... I wouldn't be caught dead in that.
  7. Sounds like you're hooked! What do you think is the first rep you will get? May I recommend something in a Breitling?
  8. The only chance we have is to start over. To take all of the trusted people on this board and create a new community. A secret community. A community without noobs, without evildoers, but just with those whom we share fascination for the art of replica horlogerie.
  9. Josh has a nice rep of this watch... though the dial spacing is wrong and the movement is the old 7750... at least the running seconds are in a safe place. I've been considering it for a while now.
  10. One thing I would be careful about is leaving China with your carry-ons stuffed to the brim with Rolexes.
  11. Don't feel alone. I sent back one of my watches over a month ago and it still hasen't arrived at its destination. I guess we will have to be very patient. But I like to think the wait makes it seem more authentic. There are, after all, very large waiting lists for some watches like the Rolex Daytona.
  12. I have received just one... funny thing it was a ETA 2671-2 movement. (I own about ten total) Total 52 Coincidentally I would consider less than half of my collection 'flawless' in terms of build quality not even accuracy.
  13. This post kind of makes me want one of these now. But aren't these watches absolutely mammoth? Like fiddy and railmaster territory??
  14. You need to get him a datejust for his birthday. Old people love those.
  15. In fact I bought this piece yesterday... it's really unique, I quite like it.
  16. I think there are certainly more appropriate pieces to choose while wearing a suite, but that depends on your style and your personality. Personally, I would go for something like a Patek or Vacheron which demonstrate class and elegance... but never a PO (though if I were to wear a PO, black would be the most appropriate color). So, to reiterate, no, I would not wear that watch with a suit ever. (Exception would be the PO Professional Chrono which I have, and I do)
  17. I just spoke with Josh. YG version available as well... I just purchased my very own. I can't wait for it to arrive.
  18. I'm starting to like the look of that Panerai 1950 a lot more. How is the reliability of Josh's so-called Asian Unitas?
  19. Worst case scenario they shut the whole board down... That would be not good.
  20. One thing I am hoping to do is get certified status as an owner of a Patek Philippe, then I can be one of the priviledged few who can subscribe to their magazine and order catalogues online.... For this I need a serial number to be identified with my name... do you think an authorized dealer would be able to do such a thing?
  21. I don't care how many charts you throw in my face... I bought a 18K full gold president from Joshua in early Sep '06 and wear it quite frequently... there is no wear. I also purchased a two-toned 18K turn-o-graph a while ago, again, gold sticks on well.... Whether it is exactly "5mil" or not is certainly a question I cannot answer, but, I can tell you honestly its a good looking and good quality product....
  22. This is such a waste of time in a rep.. I don't know what the designers in the factories were thinking. If you are going to replicate a Breitling, make a two-tone or full gold chronomat evolution!!! Diamonds or not, these are reps I would definitely consider!
  23. The layer of gold in the link you specified is microscopically thin.... If I were to guess I would say it is 2-3Mils (just look at the astounding price difference) I would definitely get this watch from Joshua. he sells it with 14K WRAP - that is a very very thick quantity of gold... You will be paying more but you will get peace of mind. http://watchwindersworld.com/rlst10001-wra...362-p-2535.html Good luck!!
  24. Thanks, but I was hoping for something a little more... lets say, extreme? I thought the only way you could combine the three words "nature" "animals" and "magnificent" would be something like...
  25. I've always found this quite dainty...
