  1. I dunno what dt4 is, either. I copied the text from a warez board. Probably just a mounting program. I'm sure any mounting software will work, like WinISO. Or then just burn the image to a DVD and install normally. @geo: Thanks for the tip. I will try FIFA 2008 one of these days. Does it require more or less cpu than PES 2008?
  2. Sorry, I only found PES5 for XBox. The next one is PES6 for PC. You want PES 2008 too? 3. The black dial version has a tricompax layout (subdials at '9, '6' and '3). It has already been replicated. The version is as good as it can possibly be. The tight subdial arrangement simply can't be replicated with the current rep movements available. As usual, the Omega Guide has a small overview of the black version.
  4. Strange that the white one is everyone's favorite this time. This is rarely the case with chronographs. It probably has something to do with the contrast that dark subdials on white surface create. I also think it's very pleasing to the eye. White dials and silver hands might be a beautiful combination, but somehow it often makes the watch way too understated. So has anyone actually ordered this one yet? I'm dying to see the wrist shots.
  5. Good Monday morning. I'm on a summer holiday, enjoying my days off. Been mainly going to the gym, listening to music, playing video games and browsing the watch forums. Life is good! Starting the week with my GMT.
  6. Exactly my thoughts. In PES5 it's much easier to defend. With the short pass button you can kick the opponent's legs (mildly) without getting penalized. I still haven't figured out how to defend properly in PES6. I guess the only option is to run into the attackers. Any tips? The shooting is almost complete lottery in PES6, but then again the passing game is better. Two things that bother me in PES5: 1. The players' speed doesn't make enough difference... cpu's slow defenders can keep up with the fastest attackers. Almost impossible to get any kind of breakaway. 2. Passing game is too difficult, especially the short passes. The penalty shootout sucks in both versions. I wish they'd make it longer with proper slow-motions, and made it so that the skill actually counts. Now it's a complete lottery. I also hate that you're not able to get any kind of scoring summaries and stats from the cpu simmed games. PES2008 is just way too easy and uninspiring. A clear step backwards. Let's hope PES2009 improves. Personally, I think they should have sticked with the working formula, and not rewrite the game. Don't fix something that ain't broken. Eyecandy is nice but that should never be the priority in sports sims.
  7. No. And there won't be, unless the factories copy a new movement. Not likely going to happen anytime soon... but you never know of course...
  8. Hmm, I'd understand the movement change if this was a cheap rep. But didn't you guys pay premium especially for the correct hand stack? I would probably buy those Steinharts too... but keep the CHS as long as it's functioning (and possible to fix).
  9. Hold on guys... it will be fixed soon. TwoTone is already working in the basement. Let's hope he doesn't cut the wrong wires this time.
  10. Do you get the same error message from my review section? http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showforum=167
  11. Weird. I will investigate this. Could another standard member (a non-supporter) try the link? Thanks.
  12. I sent Eurotimez and Precious Time email about this. Perhaps they can source it for us EU customers.
  13. I don't know Robert. Accuracy wise, this definitely. But I'm also very attracted to the BTR (regardless of the subdial issue). I think I'll go for this anyway. Not sure which color though... I'll probably wait for the real life shots by the members first.
  14. I agree, this is a great watch. And even better value now that Omega has raised its prices so dramatically.
  15. I thought I could add some wrist shots (we all love wrist shots, don't we?) Current lineup: SFSO ETA: SMP Chrono 7750: SMP Bond ETA: ICHS GMT 16710: CHS GMT 16710 ETA: CHS ExpII franken ETA: Aquaracer Day-Date 7750:
  16. It's pinned in the "Other watch reviews" section. See here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=49957 Edit: Looks like your link is correct. Can't you see the thread? What kind of error message you get?
  17. @P4GTR: Yeah, I'm surprised that I've managed to keep the watch count so low. I've had around 50 reps now (if I count the borrowed watches that I've reviewed). I'm simply much happier when I have less watches and smaller collection, I don't know why. Like I said in my initial posts, I only want to own the watches that I wear regularly, long-term. I'm sure that at some point I'm forced to give up. I simply can't get rid of any of the watches in my current collection, and there's always some new "essential" watches coming, like the new Ebel Discovery chrono which is an outstanding rep and exactly my style. About the YM... it impressed me a lot when I got the watch. And the Noob Asian version is a splendid rep for $100. One of the best budget reps out there... If I were a collector, I would have kept it for sure. Somehow it really is a bit pretentious, that's a correct word. It lacks the essential "Rolex spirit" that the classic steel versions have. It's a watch for "art nouveau" rich, not for WIS.
  18. Measure the lug size and ask from Andrew or Joshua. Perhaps they could be able to sell a strap separately. I heard the new SLR has a decent quality rubber strap. Maybe that'd fit?
  19. Once again you did it! Another amazing writeup!!! Thanks to Takashi too... he's an unselfish, helpful person and a good friend of mine as well! Great work guys... I'm waiting anxiously for the diver rep chronograph test.
  20. That's an excellent, neutral and honest review. Very nice photographs & photo compositions too! Congrats for your first review, it was a success. Thanks for doing this for the community. The rep looks surprisingly good. I believe Pix bought this same rep a while back. Many gen TAGs are quartz, even in the Aquaracer line, so I don't think this coming with quartz and thus being "inaccurate" is a problem at all. Enjoy!
  21. The gen retails at around $4K, but the real selling price is about $2.3K. This is the starting model of the 1911 line. BTR has an inhouse movement, and is more expensive.
  22. No difference. Both watches are the "so called" Noobmariner.
  23. Been there. Twice. Actually I was there in my honeymoon (with my ex-wife). Great place. La Sagrada Familia church and the terrario are "must visits".
  24. Congrats Capice! Waiting for the shots already. Here's another factory shot of the white one. More factory shots:
