I have one of these 100% broken as well. No spare parts are available. When the hour hand gear is worn out, the movement is trashable. Ziggy won't touch it, and my repairman won't touch it (because it can't be fixed).
I'm going to replace my CHS with good old wrong hand stack movement. I'm over and out with this crap movement. I suggest you do the same.
The SELs not fitting is probably symmetric, but I don't get it why they are protruded like that. Actually they're similar on the YM, but on YM the SEL is much longer and it doesn't look stupid. This looks like someone made a mistake in calculations and it doesn't fit properly.
I think the whole watch is ugly and sloppy details like this won't help.
My best rep ever, Seamaster Chronograph with correct ETA datewheel came from EL himself.
A great dealer and character indeed. I hope he comes back eventually... as a collector if nothing else!
What a beautiful watch!
Explorer II and GMT are the coolest Rolexes ever made. Both have superior movements and incredible "spirit", which you can't even explain in words.
Stainless steel basic Oyster Precisions/Perpetuals/AirKings don't cost much more than $1200 preowned. Solid gold? Well, keep in mind this watch doesn't have a bracelet. I don't know where the price should end up, but these small 34mm Rolexes aren't very much sought after right now. And the watch probably needs servicing... I wouldn't go over $1800 USD.
No Hank... you have my old "Noob" GMT. A way superior rep to this one. The best there is, actually.

I have two of these left. The correct hand stack version just broke (for good) last week... what a POS! Be happy with your whs version.
Hey, I used to own that exact rep model too (quite a while back). Not a bad rep at all (imho)... just "bad" for us ultimate Geeks.
This was mine:
Notice the excellent cg's, crown (same as on your watch) and great, nicely fitting SELs.
This one was the best there was (back then).
The hologram sticker only has the model number, which (of course) is the same for all Rolesium Yacht-Masters. That's not the serial number. The serial number is between the lugs.
That watch in the auction is genuine without a doubt.
The watch in the (admittedly bad) pictures looks genuine to me. This seller has a long history of selling Rolexes.
What makes you think the watch is a rep? And where was the serial mentioned?
Okay guys... I haven't had enough time to follow all these two versions of Skyland.
Could someone be so kind and write some kind of brief 5-10 lines of overview of these new reps for the Breitling Guide (pros and cons of each version). You'll get credited of course. Thanks.
Hi Jess, welcome to the forum!
This is a good place to start (if you're looking for a Breitling).
99% of these reps have A7750 inside, and the ones with genuine Swiss ETA 7750 are very rare and cost a ton. "Dealers" (outside this forum) who are selling them as "Swiss" for around $300 or $400 are simply lying.
Happy hunting!
I love it Stephane. If I were you I'd really, really consider keeping that beauty.
Me? I've spent some excessive time with my SMP Chrono lately. This has been on my wrist since Thursday. After all these years of collecting reps you tend to end up the ones you really like to wear... and this is definitely one of them. Such an incredible watch/rep.
