  1. Wow, you received it then Dluddy. Did the gen dial arrive yet?
  2. Actually, this usually goes other way around. You initially love something but after a few months the attraction is just gone. For me, this happened with the UPO. Shame, it's such a great rep.
  3. I never liked the Yacht-Master. I was going to just review this watch and raffle it later. But when I got this Yachtie from Narikaa, I knew immediately that I wanted to keep it. Such a nice watch, and MUCH nicer in the flesh. And besides, the rep is very accurate and excellent quality. Sapphire crystal, thick springbars, well defined crown, etc. My best ever budget rep without a doubt. It's still not my #1 favorite, but definitely something I'm going to keep for good. Any similar stories?
  4. Hmm... I was excepting compliments of the almost flawless noise/reflection free lightbox picture, soft, natural & smooth lighting exposure, capturing the SMP wave pattern almost flawlessly (not an easy task), and simultaneously maintaining the the details of the lume, hands and hour markers. But no... I got a complaint that the bezel isn't centered (which was left uncentered on purpose). Hard to please you Jon. You bastard!
  5. Congrats man. The TT Sub is different than the stainless models... it has to be genuine. No reps come even close. I've owned 3 reps of this watch (2x TW, 1 Chinese)... so I know. Enjoy!
  6. Mark, fixed the subject title to avoid confusion. Wearing my brilliant SMP Chrono today.
  7. Nope... no adjustments done. It came out like this. The alignment is actually pretty good... not perfect, but not worth the ETA wheel replacement (imho).
  8. Very nice photos sd4k. What are you shooting with?
  9. Is the diameter really 44mm without pushers? Wow, that's quite surprising.
  10. Wow. Those are seriously crooked. Better option than sending your watch back to the other side of the world is to remove the caseback and take off the letters by yourself. I suppose they're just glued. If you can live without them, that is... and then ask a discount for your next watch. I recall that loose letters was a typical issue with this Railmaster.
  11. Is that a new watch Stephane? From Olli? Looks great! I'm wearing the Big Bad Breitling today. Sorry old wristshot (again).
  12. Thanks man. I got it June 2005 from a fellow member. Read this old writeup for more info.
  13. Ah, the blue version is coming, and not available yet? That's what I thought because Joshua didn't have it listed on his site. It has to be blue.
  14. Once again: I seriously doubt they have built this watch again, which was already selling like hotcakes. It's the same rep, until proven otherwise. Date font might be different though.
  15. I knew you'd post yours Sub! Since I saw your photos I've had "hots" for this watch. Is the TT version available in blue? And if it is, how is the blue color compared to gen?
  16. Ok guys, post pics of your two-tone BCE's, and tell me about all those disgusting flaws on that watch... so I don't have to buy yet another rep. Let's see 'em!
  17. Aquaracer chrono is about 43mm, and while it's very big it doesn't feel oversized or unbalanced. Don't know why, maybe it's the square design. Here's it on my 8' wrist. Submariner for comparison. A bit smallish, eh?
  18. Amazing job as usual Saabin!!! Great to see you here after a while. Wanna see more pics!!!

    My new UPO

Glad you like it. It's certainly a great rep. Enjoy!! Since you didn't post any pics... here's two photos of my (already departed) UPO. (Hope you don't mind).
  20. Glad you're still enjoying it TT! This old thing feels like a good watch today.
  21. Actually big watches can look nice on ladies... because they become such "over the top"... they don't even NEED to look proportional or balanced.
  22. I think the smaller 42.5mm Planet Ocean is absolutely perfect in every way. What an amazing watch, and 100X nicer than the XXL. I wish they'd release a Ultimate version (with double AR) of the smaller one. I'd buy it immediately.
  23. I don't think it's only a wrist issue. I have a 8' wrist and that doesn't make these oversized hockey pucks look any more balanced. They're just ridiculous. 45mm is too big, and after the initial honeymoon with UPO was over it started to feel awfully clumsy. Whenever I changed the UPO to SMP chrono or GMT Master I realized how grossly oversized it was. Maybe it's even more apparent on UPO, because PO is such "basic" watch design wise, the dial and overall looks are very simplistic: There's not much going on. Maybe
  24. Nope. The datewheel is the original Asian. The alignment is actually very good. It's not worth the hassle to mod it, imho.
