  1. I've always owned just 5-8 reps at the same time. Actually I'm much happier with smaller number of watches (so all get regular wrist time, even once or twice a month). If I count everything, I have owned 35+, but I'm well aware that these numbers still make me look like an amateur here. Would like to see your collection dluddy.
  2. Brilliant. Have you ever posted a photo of your entire collection... or are you like me, trying to keep it compact?
  3. Very nice. I believe this one has the same amazing movement as the Broad Arrow: Caliber 3303?
  4. UPDATE: RIVER SELLS THIS MAGNIFICENT REP MODEL RIGHT NOW. CHRISTMAS SALE! Sturm just received his black version/ correct hand stack, and it's this same best model, which has been extremely difficult to source. Normally I don't advertise any dealers, but this time I make an exception. Be quick... and remember that the white rep version doesn't have the correct black hour marker circles. Go for the black one!
  5. Did they play any Hagar-era stuff?
  6. Check out Narikaa's Ladies Watch gallery. All for sale, located in the UK.
  7. Early Wednesday morning here (about 6'o'clock as you can see from my Yachtie). Leaving to the office soon with this one on my wrist.
  8. This is yet another brilliant review by sd4k that never received the attention it deserves. That's why I bumped it.
  9. Thanks folks. Since I don't currently own a Sub/SD I couldn't make an "Air & Land & Sea" photo.
  10. I don't have to fight it. I will never buy a PAM. You can mark these words guys.
  11. New photo of the two of my most prized possessions.
  12. No need to heat it. Pop off the pearl, and insert a needle into the pearl hole. Then just squeeze the old insert out. If you're not planning to use it anymore, that is... PS: When you reglue the new insert, keep rotating the bezel for the next hour or so. It's not nice if your bezel gets stuck. Sometimes, when you put too much glue, the insert edges get attached to the crystal. And don't use superglue (which can damage the insert surface), just standard paper glue will be fine.
  13. I took the bezel off of my "Noob" GMT, which comes from the same factory as the Noobmariner. It will come off, but it's extremely tight. But If you're planning to use the same bezel again, I don't recommend it. But do as kelster suggested. In my case the whole purpose was to install another (sharper) bezel on my watch, so I didn't have to worry about screwing up the old one. Mine came off without damage though.
  14. The 7750 can sometimes "rattle", but my Aquaracer is very silent. But my old Link chrono was extremely noisy. That has probably nothing to do with the rep model itself, it's just luck of a draw (how noisy movement you'll receive). This same rattling noise is occasionally present with Swiss 7750's as well.
  15. You know I'm a huge GMT fan. 1675 is a classic, and of course the classic Pepsi is fantastic!!! Big congrats for this legendary watch!!
  16. I thought that Docs first reply was posted "tongue in cheek", and not meant as malicious. Either way, I sincerely hope you'll stay. Ridiculing people is definitely NOT what RWG is about. Please accept my apologies from the behalf of the whole forum.
  17. @Urabus: That's a handsome ExpII. I can't say for sure if yours is the same base watch as mine though. The cg's and crown look different. Maybe it's just the pics? However your watch seems to have correctly positioned date mag. Is it the wrong hand stack version? I wonder if it'd be possible to paint the hour marker indices black somehow? Probably impossible, since the surfaces are so small... that's just an idea.
  18. @scoobs: My watch doesn't seem to have the etching at all. At least I can't see it. Since they come from the same factory I suspect it's similar as on the Noobmariner (almost invisible). But it didn't show in my photos at all. Maybe there is no etching?
  19. Brilliant review Scoobs!!! Glad you're enjoying your YM. This watch was a real surprise to me (and probably to Stephane too). I mean surprisingly nice... and probably the best value for money rep I've ever bought.
  20. Brilliant McQueens guys! Please keep this thread going, I really enjoy reading it... over and over again.
  21. Great collection Mezz. I especially love the BCE. I really don't know why I haven't bought one yet.
  22. Great thread idea! SMP Chrono is definitely one of the best ever. However, I purchased mine October, 2006 so it doesn't count. I have four (or actually five) remarkable watches that I got 2007. I bought many more, but these will stay: SFSO: Needs no introduction. King of the rep divers. TAG Aquaracer chronograph: A watch that I have always wanted. The rep surely didn't disappoint. "Noob" GMT Master II's: Best 16710 rep ever. I had to get 2 of them. Franken white Explorer II: Another Rolex I always wanted. Finding the proper version took ages, but it's on my wrist now.
  23. This is a no-brainer.
  24. Your wife's ExpII is the best version. Same as my base watch, and 100% same as the Avitt's watch. Consider yourself lucky... that version can't be sourced anymore.
