Like I said, I don't know if there's going to be a rep. I said "I doubt it", which is just pure speculation from my part.
-
Yes, this is definitely the Noob factory version. Excellent rep for the price, but this particular watch (newf's) has a weird datefont. It's probably borrowed from some vintage rep model. Wouldn't be a big deal for me, but it's definitely different and less accurate on this one (compared to Narikaa's offering). Just FYI.

They already replicated the new Aquaracer chrono, which got bumped from 41mm to 43.5, along with day/date wheel. Do you have any shots of the new ones? For some reason TAG site still has pictures of the old models. I doubt they'll replicate the non-chrono Link any better than the current one. It's very accurate replica, but was never a huge seller... so I doubt there's a new version coming. Just a guess though. If I were you I'd get the current one while it's still available. PS: I assume you have read chrgod's review of it.

Another year is soon over, and I'm ending it with one of the nicest reps of 2007: SteelFish SuperOcean. Happy New Year to all members of RWG... and let's hope we'll get even better reps in 2008!

Never said it was my "Ultimate", and I never even bought it. I wrote the text you quoted back in September. SSD was a huge disappointment for me. PS: I tend to buy reps that are somewhat believeable (in 1K - 5K range). I'm just an average guy, not a Sultan of Brunei.

Ok Ok - A Mid-Week Wrist Check (26-27 Dec)

Aquaracer today. This wrist shot reminds me of summer. -
Difference between Yachtmaster from noobfactory and...
By-Tor replied to fitmic's topic in The Rolex Area
The base watch looks same to me... but the date font on Trusty's watch is horrible. -
I looked at his posting history, and it seems to me that chevall is trying to find a Rolex rep with genuine movement. He's not spamming, it just seems that his English isn't that great. He's Italian.

Nicely done Freddy! You know I'm a big fan of the white Daytona. Enjoy that beauty, and Merry Christmas!

What watch(es) you'd like to see replicated in 2008?
By-Tor replied to By-Tor's topic in General Discussion
I actually forgot to mention this: I wish they'd make the final, "ultimate" version of 42mm Planet Ocean with double-AR. I sold my UPO, which I initially liked, but later it started to feel oversized, clumsy and unbalanced. I'd love to have the smaller version. -
When I started this subject about a year ago, I mentioned the HBB, Steelfish SuperOcean, Chronomat Evolution, Aquaracer chrono and Sea Dweller (among others). Well... they all got replicated. I was a bit disappointed with the SSD and never got one. But they did excellent work with the Evo, SFSO, HBB and Aquaracer for sure. I don't have many watches I'd like to have anymore... but there are a few awesome brands they have negleted. 1. Zenith El Primero Flyback "Rainbow" Now this watch probably isn't everyones cup of tea, but I would LOVE to see one Zenith repped properly... why not Flyback Rainbow, which I think has potential to sell really well. It's also available in b/w, and it'd be more conservative choice... but it's the crispy colors that again work for me. 2. Ebel 1911 BTR Chronograph Well this is probably the watch that everyone agrees with: it's utterly amazing, and it should definitely get replicated with the 7750 heart. Actually the whole BTR series is absolutely kick ass. I owned the quartz BTR from Reg, which was really nice... but come on, we need the high end versions now. Maybe these couldn't be done 1:1 due to potential subdial spacing issues, but at least they would be well enough. 3. Rolex GMT 1675 There's not one single reason why they couldn't replicate this simple watch. The gen uses the "wrong" hand stack (GMT hand below the hour hand) without the hour hand "jump" system. Very basic, easy watch to replicate... the gen doesn't even have adjustable GMT hand. I'm not holding my breath though. What are your Christmas/New Year wishes?

I bet average Rolex owners don't have an idea what the DRSD is, either. Real WIS and collectors are very small percentage of the actual Rolex customers.

Does any Rolex rep expert have an idea what I have here?
By-Tor replied to perry563's topic in The Rolex Area
Impossible to tell much without pictures. If you can upload a few good photos we can most likely identify that rep... or at least can tell you how good it is. Here is my review of the "TW Best" model. It's also available in TT. Perhaps you can compare it to the photos in my review. -
Merry Christmas to my friends at RWG Admin Team, and to the whole membership of this magnificent forum! I'm starting the Christmas with my most prized rep possession: The beautiful white franken-Explorer II. Let's see your Christmas watches!

First purchase = Black dial VCO from Silix
By-Tor replied to turdfurgeson's topic in Other Brands Area
Very good choice for the first rep. VCO is such a great watch... this has been on my list for a long time. Enjoy... and welcome to the forum! -
Amazing photos Neil. This watch really is a joy to photograph. Despite putting out extremely nice models TAG doesn't get much respect. This is still my candidate for rep of the year (over the Steelfish). Such an great watch/rep.

Just feel like showing of my tiny collection
By-Tor replied to kingkitesurf's topic in My Collection
Awesome collection my friend! The right section is "My Collection". Moved this there. -
Yeah, my pics get stolen a lot at Ioffer. People have sent me many PM's about this. My SFSO, UPO, Omega GMT and Link pictures seem to be the most popular ones. Not that I really care, but isn't it quite ironic when a seller sells a counterfeit watch with stolen pictures? The rep is probably stolen too. PS: I never sell anything on Ioffer. If you see my pics there, they're always stolen.

Excellent pics, excellent review (as usual). Thanks for taking the time... this kind of posts are what keeps this forum alive. I linked this article to the TAG guide. Thanks again.

@bk: Send a PM to Stephane. He just bought a gen SD. Perhaps he might be able to help.

Wow Tech, that really looks something. Any reason you chose the gold Serti over the silver version? I've always been more fond of the silver one, but yours look amazing too. One of my family friends wears this exact watch. I'm wearing my Broad Arrow after quite a while.

@lanikai: Most professional strength athletes don't understand what "moderate" means. That's the main problem. Have you ever seen Andreas Munzer's last cycle? I think that's one of the saddest examples. Although also in Munzer's case it was the diurectics that killed him.
-
Is this a trick question? Anavar works, of course.
-
I agree that moderate, therapeutic, and short (6-8 week cycles, 2-3 x year) of drugs like Deca aren't extremely harmful to a healthy athletic individual (who has normal bp and cholestrol levels)... IF YOU'RE FULLY EDUCATED REGARDING THE SUBJECT AND KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING. Before they made steroids illegal in the Scandinavian countries everybody was able to get the best stuff without much hassle. Now when they're criminalized the juice comes from the ex-Soviet Union countries, and the risks have increased. Nobody under the age of 28-30 should touch steroids. They're not for kids and youngsters... use your genetic potential to the fullest, end educate yourself regarding the subject FULLY, before you take anything. It's sad and pathetic when kids in their early 20's (with just a few years of training under their belt and their natural test levels running high) start using them, looking for "quick fixes". It's amazing how big and strong you can become naturally, if you have good information and dedication. But using them wisely (and preferably under doctor's supervision) isn't even nearly as dangerous as the media wants people to believe. Misinformation creates hysteria, and hysteria creates lies and more hysteria. I've seen lots of people dying from alcohol and tobacco, but I've never heard of even one steroid-related death... NOT ONE... and I know a lot of old lifters in their 60's and 70's (who have juiced moderately for DECADES). They're all healthier and look about 100x better than the other guys at their age. All unnatural deaths among the pro bodybuilders (who often take gigantic doses of steroids and HGH) are due to recreational drugs, painkillers and diuretics. Believe it or not, steroids are the safest drugs many of these guys are taking. Yeah, I agree with TTK. It's cheating in professional sports, and there's absolutely no excuse for that (as long as we have these rules). But there's no excuse of lying to people about "dangers of steroids", either. Most steroid related articles have been written by people who have absolutely no clue about them. Taking one aspirin might be good for you, but eating the whole bottle could kill you. Or enjoying a glass of wine every now and then vs. drinking half liters of vodka every day. Using is not the same thing as abusing. It's sad that so many people are abusing them though.

Looks good to me. Nanuq is our resident expert of the 1675 though. My dad owns this watch. It's on a standard Oyster bracelet (without the fliplock), but not the folded one. And yes, it's lighter and flimsier than any Rolex rep I've owned. I'm sure the folded bracelet makes it even lighter. Nevertheless, this is a mighty watch, and probably a good investment. Definitely a keeper. Wear it well my friend!!!
