  1. This is a nice one for the sports models... and it lists the weights too (with bracelet + all links intact)
  2. Breitling bracelets are insanely priced and as I said before I don't think gen Pro2 is worth the cost on this watch. It mimics the gen bracelet very well. Actually I've gotten a Breitling bug lately... I need one with Pilot bracelet in my collection. I think I'm going to get the new B01. Black Onyx dial with Roman numerals. But I haven't decided yet. Maybe I'll check the upcoming 42mm PO first.
  3. Nice one Arthur. I don't have mine anymore but it was definitely a nice replication.
  4. I agree... maybe a bit too Liberace-like for me but it looks like a stunner indeed. I haven't really examined the rep but I would bet that the rep blue dial is nothing like the gen. That's a safe bet since there has never been an accurate rep blue yet.
  5. My oldest rep today.
  6. Now that is a good old fashioned SCAM SITE.
  7. Hi Jack, very few reviews of the ladies' reps unfortunately. I doubt there are any great ones though. You might want to consider DateJust men's for your lady. RobbieG is a DJ expert, I'm sure he can recommend you a good model, there are several very good ones. DJ/DD looks great on a lady. Check this. My wife is a small woman but the watch doesn't look too big at all. Happy hunting!
  8. They showed the movie only one day in my city movie theaters. All shows were sold out. I'm getting the DVD.
  9. That's an impressive gen collection. They're all gens, right? And you're absolutely right about the gen companies and us... without reps I wouldn't now own my gens and that's a fact. Thanks for sharing!
  10. That sounds about correct. Can you get better shots of the dial? You can always get a new insert and rework the case and bracelet but dials are tough to get (and expensive).
  11. $3.3K? You're kidding, right? Here's one in very good condition condition for $3.6K. http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=tree&goto=5173861&rid=0 For that beat up watch (with possibly damaged dial) I would pay $1.2-1.4K MAX.
  12. Looks authentic to me. Not a big fan of heavily worn watches... but if you like beat up watches that might be a nice deal.
  13. That's "grazy" (as Dani would put it).
  14. I'm glad too. One thing I wonder... I have both genuine Pro2 on my Fish and the rep Pro2 on my Skyland. Lots of people say that the "rep Pro2 doesn't compare", etc. Bunch of crap. It's 90% as nice as the gen (when treated properly). At least on v2. It even has the correct looking "SEL recess" that the Fish reps never had, and it's silky smooth after oiling. Maybe the clasp engraving isn't quite up there (regarding sharpness) but spending $400 to gen Pro2 wouldn't be my 1st priority.
  15. The v2 simply impresses me. Bracelet is superb, the watch is superb... and the replication one of the best there ever was.
  16. I've had 3 Mercs in a row (company cars). Owned a BMW (528i E28) and a nice Audi (Audi 90 2.2i automatic, 5 cylinder)... so it's safe to say that I like German cars. They might be superior in many ways but they don't come even close to Jaguar in "spirit". Even the older models make German cars feel like sterile, clinical offices. Just imho. @Redwatch: You know what was the biggest disappointment with 2010 E-klasse? No wooden parts anymore. Actually they use wood but it's black ash which looks like plastic.
  17. I don't think Jags are that bad actually. The problem is the service costs which can be astronomical, unless you know someone who can service and repair them. I think the bad reputation comes from the 70's and 80's... all English cars had terrible electronics back then (Lucas/Marshall). I don't know if they have improved in that department... I owned a Peugeot 505 STI once... it was the most comfortable car I've driven but it had Marshall electronics. Never again.
  18. Oh yeah Lotus Esprit, a great classic. Speaking of English cars... well, I think this is the first sign that I'm pushing 40. Green Jags attract me more and more every day... gentleman's car in British Racing Green. Next I'm probably wearing a TT Datejust.
  19. If I ever lose my company car I think I'm going to buy a Porsche 928 or BMW 850i. New BMW's bore the hell out of me. I like the new 7-series that everyone hates though. You can buy an old 928 or 850i for the price of 2 Rollies. They're not expensive... the difficulty is to find a good one. But then again I have many good friends in Germany.
  20. It has been pretty reliable and good car. I really like the chassis... it's quite sturdy. We have lots of those "speed bumps" here and you can drive over them 60 km/h. I test drove the new 2010 model but I think it's a downgrade (chassis wise). It's way too soft and Frenchy. I'm not a car fanatic but if I had to buy a car for myself I'd get something older... these new cars are sterile and have no soul. These are more to my liking.
  21. No idea. Only the Chinese know. I agree, it would be great to have new and updated Navi reps.
  22. It's because the current rep models are years old... they were produced long before the rep makers started to use AR. (Moved to the correct forum area... please don't post brand specific posts to General Discussion. Rolex topics to "Rolex Area", Breitling related posts go to "Breitling Area", etc. Thanks.)
  23. Mercedes E200 Kompressor 06 model (company car).
  24. No, there's no decent rep of this. Sorry.
  25. Congrats to Spain and our Spanish members for winning the world's biggest sports title! Starting my week with the Fish.
