Beautiful photos and a great rep indeed! Enjoy. And thanks for the contribution. It's appreciated.

Those food allergies can be nasty. One of my friends once got a severe asthma attack from beer. We were eating a dinner normally when it happened. It wasn't because of gluten, but because of colophony. At least that's what he said afterwards. He was rushed to hospital in an ambulance. This guy's lungs are now in so bad shape that he has to carry an oxygen bottle with him. And he's not an old guy. Just turned 40. He also has an emphysema from smoking. At 40!!! Some people simply don't have good "playing cards" to begin with. Stuff like this makes you appreciate your health. My son seems to have a milk allergy... we give him a milk substitute called "Neocate". Expensive as hell but hey... first things first. I'm only allergic to idiots... but that comes with my job.

I'm with Seafoam. Colorful watch for this sunny, colorful day!

Post the seller pictures here before buying. If it has something wrong, our members will tell you. That's for sure.

I really like it. It's very refreshing to see different colors sometimes. I agree about the Breitling datefont. Install the dw and it's perfect.

I think it's pretty much the same with EVERY hobby. You can easily find the "soul mates" from people who follow the major sports... football/soccer, hockey, baseball, basketball, etc. Following sports is pretty much the only "mainstream hobbby" that most of us have... then we have our private interests. Just think about collecting watches before the Internet... or WITHOUT the Internet. Now that would be a lonely hobby.

Exactly. I wanted the bump button for us moderators for that very reason. Forums are weird... sometimes there is a fantastic review that gets no attention at all. But when I have bumped it after a few weeks the threads becomes alive and gets lots of attention. There are lots of "golden oldies" that I'm going to bump later. Especially in the "other brands" section. It's really interesting forum section. Highly recommended!

Admin team members can bump any threads. I do that sometimes when I browse for old interesting threads. I believe others do it too. Sometimes these nice threads get a "second life" this way. Why not? PS: I doubt I bumped the Victoria thread though (unless it was something interesting). Must have been someone else. I have only bumped good and remarkable reviews, etc.

Nothing weird there. I bumped it up myself after reading the review today. It was worth bumping. I did the same with several other good old review threads that deserved "another look" by the membership.

I came, I saw, I wasted a few hundred dollars

There is no one truth here. Some reps are bad, some can be very good. It's like saying "all women are bitches". It's not true... only about 70% of the ones that you meet in the night clubs are. The ones that come easy aren't necessarily the best. You gotta spend some time and effort on finding the good ones. I don't see Citizen and Seiko watches competing against the reps. I think those belong to the different world... reps can be good looking, dishonest bitches but Citizen and Seiko are for people who settle with dating an ugly, nasty woman (because she's reliable and cooks good food). -
This classic steel Sub for today.

Damn that's horrible. That one must have been constructed by blind people in a very, very dark basement.

Speaking of Yacht-Master... I like it, it's a cool watch. The "Noob" version of YM is actually pretty damn nice. Of course not quite as nice as the WM9, but a very, very solid replica. I got this from Narikaa for $95 (I recall). One of the best budget ones that I've seen. The dial was really well executed on that. If you can still get this Asian version, it's a great watch for money. I'm not sure if they ruined it with the bad rehaut engraving though. Most new Noob watches have that (unfortunately).

The bracelet is really neat on this one. Usually the middle links are polished on TT Stainless watch bands, but it's vice versa on this Oris.
-
Very nice collection. You have both dress and sports perfectly covered. But where is the legendary RWG watch?
-
Lani's 2xAR Seamaster Chrono comes to mind. Looks nicer than the gen.
-
Great watches today. I'm wearing this good old classic!
-
Many people think that all new Rolex designs are unattractive. But this is actually quite nice at 41mm. Or what do you think? (not my photos, these are web finds)
-
The only issue is the SEL fitting. They should be a bit recessed and there should be no visible gaps between the SELs and the lugs. There's no guarantee that the gen SELs are any better because rep cases have QC/tolerance issues. I've seen v3's and v2's with better and worse SELs.

Okay... I think I want another watch. I have been bitten by the famous Breitling Bug. I'd like to have one Breit with Pilot bracelet and I considered the rep of new Chronomat B01. It's actually a great rep and with black dial/black dw the recessed date isn't a problem... but Importr talked me out of it. He said it's extremely blingy. Then I started to think about TAG Link and how amazing looking watch it is. Just like all addicts we think that our next watch is the "final piece" that's missing from our puzzle. Just like many cigarette smokers always buy that "one last box" before they quit. I'm a steel bracelet man through and through and Link bracelet is one of the nicest (if not THE nicest) watch bracelet ever. I just saw the gen Calibre 16 Link Chronograph today when I went to the downtown. The one with 2xAR and display back. Amazing. I almost walked away from the store with it but then I remembered that there are more important purposes for that money, like my son's new savings account. I think I might get the brushed bezel rep version now. It doesn't have the reflective dial issue that my old blue rep had. Or then I'll buy another BTR. It's the only rep I regret of selling... it had the highest quality finish and bracelet I've ever seen on a replica watch. Kinda funny, I'm buying my old watches back. Waddya suggest?

Congrats! Two damn nice blue watches there!
-
Pretty good reference shots from Blowers Jewellers. Both sold for

It's actually tough to find a default condition SA from the Ebay. Most have diamond bezels or dials. That's also why we can find those spare gen dials... many people want to "customize" their SA's.

Hey that's well said. And this very thread is what RWG is all about: Good watch talk. Talking about Rolex, I think I'm done. 16610 and 16710 are the two best ones. Tried them all (almost) and classic Sub and GMT are simply the best. If I ever buy another, I'll get the gen white Explorer II. For some reason Daytona never grabbed me at all. I understand its desirability and position in the watch world though... but it's not a watch for me.

This is RICH! http://tinyurl.com/2vuww2r Even Dave wouldn't wear this. This is almost as fugly.
