  1. You can still visit every now and then. It doesn't have to be black or white... or on and off. Anyway, best of luck. You have always been a great member.

Denmark 1992 Euro: Unforgettable. That was a great player generation (Laudrup brothers, Schmeichel, etc.)

I used to hate Germany football team only because Klins"man" was there. Now that he's gone and not coaching anymore I have nothing against Germany. They have suffered from many injuries though. Two Klins"man" dives that still make me puke: This is from the 1990 final. Late tackle, yes, but Monzon doesn't even touch the bitch here and he pretends that he died and cries like a little girl. Here he dives against Bulgaria 1994 World Cup and gets a penalty for them. Thank God there was justice in the world and Bulgaria won the game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6iriBxhgXc

    World cup

Last time Germany won when FIFA/Joao Havelange awarded them a crazy penalty in the 1990 final. Not that they weren't the best team of the 1990 tournament but that was still a disgrace to the World Cup. Great football country anyway... Lothar Matthaus was a classy guy, and who can forget Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. But then again Jurgen Klinsmann is a whiney little bitch and the worst diving little pussy that ever sh*tted between two legs. PS: Who remembers when Schumacher, their goalkeeper knocked out Battiston in World Cup 1982? That was brutal. First WC that I watched when I was a kid.
  5. Ah you got the Shaq too... Christ that's a HUGE watch! How do you like it so far?
  6. Damn that PloProf is ugly... but in a good way, I like it! Wearing my Bond Seamaster right now.

    World cup

World Cup trivia: There has never been a World Cup Final played, without one of the "big four" football countries being at least the other participant: Argentina, Brazil, Italy and Germany. This is good to remember when we start placing our bets. Spain is the biggest favorite but their World Cup history is beyond sad.
  8. Panerai153 said it perfectly. Our members own some spectacularly modded vintage Rolexes but making that kind of franken is super expensive. Out of the box the vintage Rolexes are nowhere near close to the gens. If you want something that FXRandy posted, prepare for a lot of patience and financial sacrifices. That's the sad fact... replicas of the vintage models (without excessive mods) aren't that good. Something like modern 16610 WM9 is much better and easier option.
  9. Hey Chief that's a great sticker. I'm going to use it in my next photo composition!! Keep 'em coming guys, fantastic vintages. Am I the only RWG'er who owns a 16710?
  10. Oh yeah... amazing. And it has the only desirable bracelet for sports Rollies: The Oyster. Looks perfect.
  11. Yeah mate, that's my gen. Your project looks interesting. Is it the Noob case?
  12. Classic Rolexes might have flimsy clasps, lightweight bracelets and many other "flaws" but you can't deny the fact that they have very unique "spirit" and traditions. Not my most glamourous shot, but something new anyway, which helps to keep the forum alive. I try to shoot more now that I have some spare time, for once.
  13. Navitimer stainless steel, yes you heard it right... stainless steel bracelet: $1400...!! How is this in relation to the fact that the watch itself uses an outhouse (no pun) movement which is actually worth $350... (in wholesale for these Swiss brands it's probably costing $150 or even less)? Luxury brands and their prices... "insane" is way too mild word to use here.
  14. @alligoat: You know I always admire that watch, it has some unexplainable charm. PS: I enchanced your photo a little. I was bored, can you tell...
  15. I merged the topics. This today.
  16. The customs risk will increase about 1000% when you have 10 watches in one shipping. One watch, one shipping. That's my advice. PS: Have fun!
  17. Thanks man. That's what I thought. Too bad... the yellow really does it for me. However I've been looking at the Slevin with "the eye" lately. Very nice watch indeed. Keep the wristies coming and convince me more!
  18. I agree. The bracelets are insanely priced. Not much different from Rolex prices, really. PS: Thanks Mike, great list.
  19. @cougaree: Lightbox shots are very challenging and demand a perfect setup but you can easily get great photos in natural lighting. And those are great shots! They all look amazing... three of my fav. Breits right there. Pro1 bracelet is cool too. Gen dial makes a world of difference!
  20. This is the best dial shot of the black version (that I've seen).
  21. More light. Try natural lighting outside... a balcony or something... it gives excellent results.
  22. The red versions of the vintage Rolex are mostly recognized and appreciated just by the Rolex enthusiasts. And they always go under very careful scrutiny, even when they're installed into genuine cases. Those reps would never survive from ANY kind of close scrutiny. They're so inaccurate, it's almost funny. Just forget the red dial versions. If you tried to pass those as a gen to any Rolex WIS, they would laugh at you. They're that bad. Maybe not as bad as the old MBW versions (otb) but bad nevertheless. I just don't see the point of those red dial rep versions. If you want a good vintage Sub/Dweller rep, buy a white one & prepare to mod it heavily and spend a lot of money on it. That's the sad state of affairs. Just my 2c.
  23. Hey guys, how come the members haven't bought the yellow version? I've already forgotten... was the gen only available in Ti? I might be interested in this but not if it's not a good version. Please chime in.
