  1. Will they work on an AP ROO sec's @9, with a leather band currently, so I guess I don't need a conversion kit. Just wondering if anybody has done this, and what their experience was replacing them.

Please advise, I don't want to spend $200 on a strap the will not work.

    Thanks.

If you have an MBW sec@9, AP Bands is not for you! I just tried it, the case lugs are diff size as the sec@12, which the AP Bands are for and most of the kit.....IMO! Anyone wants to buy 3 AP Bands for sec@12?

    PM me!

  2. Your best bet is Bangkok, Thailand! Haven't been there yet, but going there this coming Jan. '90! I've been told that the MBK market is your best choice! If you want Gens,

then Singapore is your best choice! It's the new Gen Watch Mecca of Asia!

Good luck and Happy Trip/Hunting! Please post back your experience and any discovery made! I could use it!

  3. I need APs

I feel sorry for you! Once you own one, you'll never stop! :D I ended up selling half of my collection

after owning one koz I know I won't be wearing them anymore (only all the Swiss PAMs and Rollies

and a few good ones remained)! IMHO, AP ROOs are one of the most well built Rep out there out of the box!

Open one up and you'll see!

    Good luck!

  4. You can't compare them! Skyland is not in the same league as the ROO! You look like you have the sec@9 Version! If that's an MBW, that's one of the best version! I have both that & the sec@12, but

I think the MBW is a better build quality wise! IMHO!

Enjoy it! I sold most of my watch after I got my first ROO!

  5. That was really helpful! Thanks!

So can I send my rep to a watch dealer to have it tested? Will they like turn me down since my watch is a rep?

Hahahaha! You're funny! Your not serious, R u? Don't ever take ur rep to an AD/dealer! A watchsmith is more like it

and make sure to tell him/her that it's a fakey koz some wont touch them!

There's a lot of tutorial on how to waterproof (right word is water resistant) your watch. And one way is to open

your watch and check if you have rubber o-rings on the cover and the crown or tube! If you dont....your watch wont like

water!!!! If it does have it, check and see if its new and not kink or else replace, then apply thin coat of grease (all of

these you could buy from Ofrei.com!). HE valve is really for decoration and useles, I would apply a tin layer of monster

glue or fill it up around and let it dry hard! That would cover any tiny gaps in there if there is any! Put it back together

and make sure the back cover is tight and the rubber o ring does not stick out (sometimes it happens)! Ther you go,

your ready to dive...................in your bath tub! :D Jst kidding, if its a none chrono, You could probably take it short

of 100ft. But have it tested just to make sure....if you plan to dive with it! Good luck and have fun here! And I hope

you have a solid family because you will become and addict pretty soon and you need them to understand and be

    there for you!

    Shalom/Aloha/Mabuhay/Shallam Alaikum/Long live Barack Obama!
