Pretty here this time of year...

Oh yeah, my mistake, think I'd had a couple of jars when I wrote that... Duh.

I really love the look of this, with the white face and all round elegant design... But what I couldn't get past, in every close up shot, was that the red alarm hand was way off. And this goes for $6k? Or is it my eyes or my naive view of gens? http://youtu.be/Dtv_4BeF2zw

Thanks gentle, I saw those posts a few days after ordering from puretime. :-} It arrived today so will check it when back from the daily grind! Cheers!

Got my Tudor v2 BB 'released by customs' today... Can't wait for it to show up soon! Not bad since it was posted in 9th June. What did you go for?

I had to send my very first rep back to Josh a couple of years back - tool about 7 weeks round trip, but he did keep me in the loop (after a few emails) and did sort the issue out. I've had 2 more from him since then and they have been good quality items. Hope he comes through in the end for you, Mark.

New toy for the collection comes from Poland! :-)

Some nice looking pieces there, enjoy yours when it comes! -
I've had an Omega PO, Panerai and Mont Blanc from Josh at PC over past couple of years. All models were high end, good quality, with good service and prompt delivery. Had one issue with MB bracelet, it was sent back and returned fixed. I would say you can buy with confidence from him, but email him first to ensure the model on his site is in stock. Can't vouch for the FM specifically, but the adage of you get what you pay for holds true even for different grades of reps.

In the cold light of the morning I realise it would be like being in the most fabulous titty bar in the world... Ultimately I can look but not touch... But when I get home, I've still got my reps to keep me warm... :-D

I had a chrono swatch years ago (yeah, I know, we were all young once) that had a lovely blue dial and Daytona look to it - only later did I fully appreciate the inspiration for the design. Anyone had a good/bad experience with a 'vintage' Daytona rep?

I found it interesting, maybe the experts here have a view on it http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=di59iCDPEmo

Ceramic Planet Ocean Review (42mm and 45mm). Pic heavy
Wooln replied to cougar1's topic in The Omega Area
Great summary, Cougar, I agree completely with the clasp action and also the slightly worrying feel to the crown tube in the 42mm, but love the majority of the way this model looks and feels. Thanks for taking the time to put this excellent review together. -
Having lived with my new 42mm for a couple of days now. Looks great to me from a cosmetic point of view, any minor flaws (and there are a few that others have mentioned already mainly with the omega lettering) are minor enough for me to not have any hang ups about wearing it. Also very pleased how easy it was to adjust the bracelet myself, having read all the old horror stores about breaking pins etc etc - just a few tiny screws and pins to worry about. My only issues are the vagueness of the crown and tube when screwing it back in. Bit worried that may cause some grief in the future, for now it's ok, but I won't be putting this baby anywhere near the water. Also the clasp doesn't give a nice big snap when closing, it's shut but I have a feeling this may work loose in the future. On balance, glad I waited 12 months for the ceramic version, and very happy with Josh's service - order 1st feb, arrived 11th. Not 100% perfect, but not a million miles away.
-
My 42mm from Josh apparently cleared customs Friday and is at a UK sorting office. Thi is pretty impressive considering i ordered on the 1st Feb, and it managed to squeeze out just before CNY. Hope my dopey postman treats it with a bit more care than usual. Will try and post some pics if it shows up tomorrow.

Interesting article on James Bond and Omega in Variety
Wooln replied to robertk's topic in General Discussion
Over the past few months, right across the UK Omega have pulled their ranges (sold alongside TAG, Hamilton, Longines etc) from within 'high street' jewellers chains. They are concentrating on their own 'boutique' outlets in high end locations like Bond Street in London's west end. All part of the strategy to move the image of the brand further upmarket, and maximise returns from the Bond association... -
When do we see decent rep of Omega PO new range 2011?
