I have been spending nights looking back into the old posts since i discovered this forum. However i can't get some for the links to work and can't find the topic when i do a search. Does the post still exist as when I search on the post ID of the above words I can't find it.

I discovered the Easylink extension by accident when trying to see how to microadjust the bracelet on my 39mm Explorer 1 Rep , and it turns out that many owners of gens are not aware of how to use the feature as it is badly explained. It turns out me my Parnis sterile GMT IIC, although it does not have a proper Rolex bracelet has an Easylink You need to open the Easylink to get to the cutouts for the springbars if you want to micro adjust your bracelet length. The Easylink extension quickly allows you to increase the the length of the bracelet by 5mm (half a link) on warm days to allow for wrist expansion. Most of the currant relaunched range of Rolexes ,with the exception of the Deepsea and Sub C, have the Easylink extension. This includes: 39mm Explorer 1 42 mm Explorer II GMT C Milgauss Datejust II Yachtmaster II Check the Rolex site to see if your model has one. The Sub_C and Deepsea have the Gildelock system. This is my 39mm Explorer 1 rep. The last link on the bracelet on the 12.00 side is the Easylink. It is closed, ie not extended and ie you cannot see the cutout for the microadjustment. (You will see these when it is open.) The link is in fact link a hinge closed back on itself with a catch. To open it you tug the link out a bit and back towards the centre of the bracelet (using both hands as I am taking a photo here) The link is now open. A is the bar for the catch and B the U shape that forms the catch. You have to pull the link back forward over itself, and press it down. The Easylink is now fully open. You have half a link extra length in your bracelet Notice the gaps (A) to get access to the springbars to microadjust the bracelet if you require it into the holes on the side of the claps. . To close the Easylink you have to pull thelink forward to the centre of the clasp and then fold the link back onto itself on the hinge so that the u shape is over the bar of the link Push down with your thumb to lock the U shape onto the bar Voila .

Same here. I sold me gen two tone submariner 16613. I was going traveling for a bit and didn't feel like taking it with me. The only people who ever said anything about asked if it was a fake, and wanted to look at the second hand going round. So now I think I might as well have the fakes. It means I can't say to myself "I've got a Rolex and you haven't" but I can live with that.

I bought one of these - my first true rep - based on the review. thats How I found RWG by Googling Explorer rep 39mm. Been on my wrist for two weeks now and I am really pleased with it (the Swiis ETA), which is 5 secs fast per day. Finding out it has the easylink extension was a bonus. I just got a new camera and will do an easylink how to this weekend. I must admit comparing it with the phone in the ADs window there didn't seem to be a difference in the level of matt on the dial? The only issue is the lume which looks like it was applied with a cement mixer, particularly on the triangle, and are grayish rather than white. You can see this in the pictures above and it is slightly worse on mine. Also the current threads on customer service at Puretime. I had no problems as I accepted the dial, but I must admit the cuurent discussions make me wonder if I would use them again.

Been doing some research on Steve Mcqueen's 5512 and found a site with lots of pictures of Steve wearing his Rolex in his private life, on the set of Papillon as well as in the films Towerng Inferno and in Hunter (although that may be a 5513). Steve was apparently left handed so wore the watch on the right. I just received my Explorer I just before Xmas. The transaction went smoothly, admittedly with no need for email contact and the watch arrived per the QC pictures. it was my first rep purchase so I must admit the talk of poor customer service made me nervous. However it looks as if I had gone to another of the trusted delears i risked having my credit card details scammed, which makes me even more nervous. What prompted you to raise this issue now?

The problem is that the rep dossn't have a cutout for the springbar on the 'non buckle' side. You can see that in the picture on the link compared to the picture you took for your review. Great review by the way which propted me to buy the watch, sorry i didn't recognize your name earlier, Question isi how to you get to the spring bar, - do you ave to force the sides? Also it doesn't look to me that the rep has the easy link ? The parts look different. Have you used this facility on your rep.

Thanks but I'm not really getting it, as the pictures do not really show the end of the bracelet in the clasp. I am beginning to wonder if the end of the rep bracelet should have a cutout to access the pin/ spring bar. Just got my first rep - the 39mm Explorer 1 from PureTime. Beautiful watch went straight on my wrist five minutes after leaving the post office. I have now taken one full link from the strap but want it slightly tighter. Problem is I cannot make out how the micro adjustment in the claps works. Can it be adjusted? Is it real Easylink? Have been eagerly tracking my first rep purchase through the EMS tracking. Cleared the customs yesterday and sent to the depot, so eagerly waiting for it at home. (Incidentally this is the Chinese site, the number doesn't come up on the UK site) Imagine my surprise when I relooked at the tracking site and it showed delivered attempted. Went to the door and no note. Rang them up and they said the driver could not find the address and they would try again tomorrow. Asked them if he couldn't find it today what would change between now and then? I got them to put my mobile number on the parcel so he's hoping. There depot is miles away from me overwise I would go for it, andI guess they may have to. The mystery is why it is only Parcelforce who can not find the address. it is a large block of flats with its own post code. Everybody else can find it.
