  1. The bracelet should fit (the 6263 requires a 19mm width bracelet) and its part number (78350) is correct for this model. But I do not think the 557 end link numbers are right - that may or may not matter to you.

I kept My end links but I kinda doubt they will work. Thanks for the advice, My "vintage rolex sport models" book is worthless for reference on these types of questions.

  2. Yes Im asking for help :black_eye: I know my EE is not a DW but its good enough me. I broke my band well it kinda died (a pin fell out) and watch fell to the ground. I had a leftover pin that I tried to install to make a long story short I had to throw it out. I figured Id go ahead and order a gen tropic 21 and a gen band. I found both no problem I bought the tropic 21 for $75 but the band is $900 used. Thats not practical for a fake watch so I was thinking about this band it looks period correct. Avitt can you help me out here?

  3. I'm not sure I understand, Tony. Weren't people from the genuine Rolex forums offering you $14-18,000 for your 6263? Isn't your watch nearly "indestinguishable from the real thing", and better than most of the "junk watches" that guys post here? Why would you want to improve on that? The only people who would notice the difference are the watch "dorks" and "nerds"...

    ;)

Yove got it. But I want a DW for its mystery movement Im intrigued as its the only attempted copy of a rolex movement that I know of. I am no longer interested in this watch as it is not a DW .

  4. Tony,

You must want to get scammed. The guy says "No Refunds", "There will be no local pickup", Maybe you could screw him up by paying w/ Paypal, but is it worth it? The guy's a scam

Andrew's 6263 is 40mm and a gen is 37mm. DW is the only one w/ a case that's close to correct- maybe some of the other sellers

on ebay have the same case, but even with those, you'd be taking a risk.

Thanks for clarifying the 40mm on andrews reps. LOL no I dont want to get scammed. I want to find a DW case for less than $500... I already have a EE 6263 it is the correct 37mm with 19mm lugs but uses a 7750.

  5. That's not the real deal, and it's not a DW case. From the crappy pictures, it looks like another 7750 based 6263.

Well no one report this PLEASE!!!. Im sure these guys know their buying a fake.... As if anyone would be dump enough to let a $40,000 watch go for $400. I want to see how much this watch brings!

  6. Well it sure looks like the 14K gold plating has held up really well so far... :thumbsupsmileyanim:;)

I was warned that the TT reps weren't up to the standards that the SS rep were. They were right sad thing is this watch has the most unbelievable sharp dial/date wheel. The SS on the other hand will have a very accurate bracelet ,case and a reasonable rehault but a pitiful dial/ date wheel. Basically I think with the reps we have today you have to choose a watch on what you can and cant deal with as their all flawed in some way.

  7. After a visit to the AD a week ago I am itching for a blue and gold two tone Sub. That combined with a little tax refund have me leaning towards picking one up. I've read the general two tone reviews (thanks to all of you) but I just wanted to see if anyone had purchased one from andrew, and if so, your thoughts. I'm not picky as far as accuracy, i know about the plating issues, especialy where the bracelet meest the watch. He has one that is 18K not 14, I'm curious to know if anyone can vouch for the overall appearance.

All of your thoughts are appreciated.

    Thanks

This is the 14k $250 TT sub from andrew. The gold is pretty close as I wore the watch to the AD and kinda done a side by side (through the glass) well I cant say about how long this plating will last but this is about 9 months old.

  8. Ive had this watch for a bit. I wore it to a auto auction and if you've ever been to one of these Dealer only auctions you can attest to the fact that 18k gold rolex grow on trees at these functions. Most of these dealers are pretty well set. Anyways my watch seemed close in color but really its impossible to tell unless you have that specific watch to compare it too. One thing Ive noticed is that the color of gold differs from model to model and year to year. The two tones look different in color from the solid 18k DD or DJ and the newer DDs and DJs have more of a red hue to their gold these are just my observations. If anyone knows more about this mystery of rolex gold color please clue me in.

  9. Dear friend

I do not love to criticize the watches of the others members but this Day is recognizable as false from 100 meters of distance.

See for example.. tritium points or the incorrect writing at 6 or the crown ecc...

    Sorry..............

"tritium points or the incorrect writing at 6 or the crown ecc."

Anyone knowing that probably is a watch dork and have spent may hours staring at pictures. I would venture to say you could wear this watch for years before you would ever run into anyone that could actually out and out call it a fake. That person would defiantly be a certified watch nerd. This watch will also accept GEN parts the basic per portions of the watch are right 37mm wide 19mm lug asymmetric pushers barring the case back but all this could be fixed. To my knowledge no rep dial is up to snuff on these watches .

  10. Judging by your case back, and dial, I'd say that you have the 7750 version. Considering that it came from Japan, 2 years ago, I'd venture that it's the same as the "ExtraExtra" 6263. That watch was quite coveted at the time, and some people were paying over $1000. I think that a couple have sold on the board recently, if you'd like to research the present value.

Im certain your correct mine is a EE. I couldn't find the value but heck its a fake who really cares about value.

  11. If it is a DW, then 1) you paid too much, and 2) it's got a crap movement, that's worth no more than $50.

LOL The movment works and Ive been watching what Im sure are DW cases go on ebay for something like $900.

So are you trying to say that even though this watch is a DW its only $50.00 ???

  12. "tonyp1 -- I would love to know the source for that watch. Do you have a link or contact info?"

Im pretty sure its a DW and last I heard the one gentleman who could source these (guy I got mine from) operates out of japan and wont ship to the US anymore.

  13. ubiquitous I also Know you go to INSANE levels on your frankens. Im saying for out of the box this watch kicks butt. Im not saying that it has anything on the watches above that have GEN pushers dials ect and costing nearly $1500. Come on there FAKES no FAKE 6263 is gonna stand a chance with someone that knows these watches.

  14. Somehow... I doubt it.

Please post the link.... I'd love to see that thread...

LOL This is watch near indistinguishable from the real thing. Sorry but most of the junk watches Ive see you guys post are the wrong case size IE 39mm and the pushers are also incorrectly symmetrical.

  15. I agree it is rather small but I find all Rolex to be small. On the other hand I find the Daytona to be one of the most comfortable of all on the wrist.

I have a DW v72 case and I am also searching in vain for a reasonably priced v72, however I think it will take quite a bit of luck to find one. I think the best chance is to spread the word around to friends and hope that maybe somebody knows someone with one and is willing to part with it to a friend. :wounded1:

Good luck to all those looking, and there are many.

Did you know that DW sells them including a v72 movement, I found that amazing. :victory:

I bought this watch about 2 years ago I cant say what it is (If its a DW or not) I paid something like $580 at the time. It measures 37mm in diameter and 19mm lugs. I have posted pics of this watch on finest rolex forum and I was instantly getting offers to buy the watch for 14 to 18k one guy that lived close even offered to bring a cashiers check!
