  1. I looked up the 1680 on puretime and was greeted by many many watches. (http://puretime.co/product/vintage-red-submariner-1680-660ft200m-with-closed-6/ , http://puretime.co/product/vintage-red-submariner-1680-200m660ft-with-closed-6/ , http://puretime.co/product/vintage-red-submariner-1680-660ft200m-with-opened-6/ , http://puretime.co/product/vintage-red-submariner-1680-200m660ft-with-opened-6/ , http://puretime.co/product/vintage-red-submariner-1680-660ft200m/ , http://puretime.co/product/vintage-red-submariner-1680-200m660ft/) Is there any differences that would affect this project in the aforementioned links? Thank-you HaydenM
  2. Thankyou for the advice, now all I have to do is find a rep friendly watch-smith in australia that would be able to undertake this project for a fair price. Does anybody know of anybody?
  3. I thank you so much. It looks like it could be a very nice watch at the finish. Does anybody know a rep friendly watchsmith in Australia?
  4. I am most probably looking at a snowflake. In particular this watch was the one that got me interested in the Sub http://www.rwg.cc/topic/149809-sold-tudor-snowflake-sub/page__hl__+tudor%20+sub#entry1141318 What would the easiest way to go about making something along these lines? I currently have no experience, any advice?
  5. Hello Everyone I've been looking around the forum and been caught by the tudor subs, I'm just wondering, seeings as (to the best of my knowledge) a Tudor Sub cannot be bought from a TD, what is needed to create one that is a rather good rep? (not wanting a very expensive super rep) What parts would be needed but also what would the aprox. expense of such a watch be? (Would like to add that as of this time I have no personal experience with watchmaking or modifiction) Thankyou HaydenM
  6. Hello all I've been looking around and have really started to like the Pam style. Unfortunately the full sized models I would believe are a bit too big for my wrist. I know that in the genuine Panerai's there are 40mm models but I have read that in reps there apparently is not a good 40mm rep. I have only been able to find two models on the sites of the trusted dealer being the: 050 (http://puretime.co/product/pam-050-40mm-automatic-stainless-steel-black-dial-stainless-steel-steel-strap-a7750-28800/) and the 048 (http://www.1-pc8838.com/pn048k01-40mm-auto-ssle-asia-2813-p-11614.html) Are either of these a good rep? Thankyou HaydenM
  7. Personally I think it is their of the ugliest watches I have seen. The dial is way too cluttered to be an everyday worn and although would be useful for yachting for anything else it's hideous.
  8. Will never be replicated. I think they said it took something like a week for them to physically construct the watch by a group of expert watchmakers (I'm probably mistaken as it was a long time ago). It will not be replicated and there are much nicer opus watches anyway.
  9. Benvenuti a RWG. Have a good time here
  10. I've seen that happen on a couple of the subforums on WUS. Which forum did you notice it in?
  11. I believe I'd you we're looking for an omega gen the suggested dealer by watchuseek is ace jewellers. I can't personally vouch for them but WUS suggests them highly.
  12. Personally I am all for the cause but am completely against the organisation. The donations do not mainly go to the Ugandans. Two thirds of it goes to the company and a measely one third of the money goes to Uganda. The company just seems dodgy to me.
  13. If you dont mind me asking, what was the aprox. total cost?
  14. I am just wondering, do they make a replica of the milsub (or more a passable replica), or is a milsub replica only achievable through making a franken project? if it can only be made from a franken, any tips?
  15. I think I will just go with the 21J Asian movement suggested before so if it dies I just buy a new cheap one.
  16. So are there any reps that actually have the correct to Rolex style of movement? If not, does it affect the usability?
  17. The watch here on rwg does look really good. My only problem is that at the moment I don't currently have the means of payment set up as generally I don't purchase things online. So I assume by the time I would be able to have these set up it would be sold.
  18. Okay now to the clincher. If looked around and it is (for newbie me) difficult to find aMaster IIc. I am wondering if anybody would know the cost or where I would be able to find the following. ((which TD do you guys recommend aswell)) I believe that I will go with your advice: 21J DG304b movement, n-factory, black bezel insert.
  19. Duke. I was referring to the IIc i am pretty sure. In particular stainless steel case and bracelet and the black bezel insert with the large white numbers. Edit: which is best, correct hand stack or incorrect?
  20. Hey all I have recently been looking to buy my first rep and have been recently taken by the Rolex GMT II. I have looked around and unfortunately they all seem much the same to me. I was wondering if there is anything to look out for in a Rep GMT. Is there a certain movement to go for / steer clear of? What are some obvious tells with a GMT and does anybody know a GMT rep that does not have / (more likely) these tells are minimised. Thankyou HaydenM
  21. I would hand it in to the police. I know I would hate if I lost a watch that expensive. And the good part about lost proPerty in aus if if no one claims what you hand in in three months (I believe) it's legally yours.
  22. Does anybody know another dealer that sells this model as Trevor has gone AWOL as far as i can tell by his section.
