  1. Haha, Well I honestly know nothing about them. So I just did a quick search
  2. There are (suspected) gen ones on ebay http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=rolex+service+pouch&LH_PrefLoc=2&_sop=15
  3. So does anybody know of a good place to buy the gen strap or something with similar construction?
  4. The problem for me is slightly to to with the micro-adjustments but more to do with how wide the clasp is on the inside of my wrist which causes the watch to sit in a weird way. It would be interesting to see if more micro-adjustment holes would work if drilled.
  5. Defending the bracelet it is one of the most sturdy and weighty watch bracelets I have ever felt. My weedy 6 and a bit inch wrist just doesn't deal will with the size of the clasp. I am sure I will experiment with a whole variety of different straps but at the moment I would love to possibly get my hands on the gen fabric strap or something similar (in design and quality).
  6. I recently purchased a tudor black bay rep from Andrew and I have loved it but the problem that I have encountered is that due to by very small wrist I have a great amount of difficulty getting the bracelet of the watch to sit correctly on my wrist. I have ordered a few nato styled straps to fix this problem but I am wondering if anybody knows if it is at all possible to get a Gen fabric strap that is sold with the watch from anywhere (and approximately how much it would cost). If this isn't possible does anywhere sell something similar (a fabric strap that isn't a "one piece watch strap" that slides through the springbars or a nato but a fabric strap that contains the springbars). Thank you all in advance HaydenM
  7. How was this advert okay? It's a blatant lie to say that the watch is genuine. The watch is not 102 years old, it's movement is and such a watch did not exist at the time and the omega museum would not have this watch in it as it never existed.
  8. Good to know I'm not alone. As a relative newbie to the forum I didn't want to go making a judgement in case I was wrong but I am all but certain. The movement is of pocket watch origin, it's the same size as a pocket watch and wristwatches did not exist for men at the time, and ridiculously large watches are only a very recent trend. Imho the watch is not real at all.
  9. I'm not 100% certain but I would wager that this is a complete franken. Or do you guys already know that? With that diameter and movement it's not really that historical, it's just a re-cased pocket watch. Not to mention that wristwatches were not prolific (and were mostly worn by women) during 1912.
  10. Puretime isn't down for me http://www.puretime-asia.com/
  11. I was out at a bar the night before last and on the dance floor had my new black bay on my wrist and mine went bright blue very quickly, but dissipated pretty quickly. It's weird
  12. Which size is considered "mid-sized" on silix's website? Thanks Also is there anywhere to buy the dials besides threegoldbrothers on ebay?
  13. I'm thinking the next watch I will look into will be looking into is a Rolex 1016 or a vintage Tudor Snowflake
  14. After finally getting the bracelet sized (after some somewhat radical action) it's finally on the wrist
  15. Got the watch, now just to attempt to size this bracelet :S Will have pics up soon
  16. Tracking says it was delivered and it's not on my wrist :S All good hopefully that should mean it will be here soon at least
  17. Being extremely indecisive mainly, couldn't choose one to be the first
  18. Hi all, I've been around this forum for a couple of years but over that time never pulled the trigger on a rep purchase until now. I decided to go for the Tudor Black Bay rep with the red bezel from Andrew (Trusty Time) QC has been approved I can't wait to get it on my wrist HaydenM
  19. The other problem being import charges when importing these watches to Australia which can unfortunately add a bit extra to the price. I will hopefully be able to get my hands of one sooner rather than later.
  20. And is it not arrogant to think that you know more than somebody who has actually studied science? You're seriously a nutter.
  21. If you were in fact living off of pure oxygen this conversation would have been a lot quicker and we would have got silence far sooner.
  22. Hey guys, it's an awesome video that obviously can't exist as a something as weak as a pingpong ball could not go through something as hard as a paddle
