  1. The base movement is an STD6. This base movement can be ordered from watch supply houses for about 13.50 USD. You could have someone just swap the autowinding mechanism. Unfortuantely the cost of repairing asian autos( which is mostly labor cost) can quickly approximate the cost of the watch, but in this case, if you have access to a watchmaker you should be able to get it done for maybe 50% of the cost of the watch, in my estimation. Good luck.
  2. Remember, synthetic saphire=mineral glass in some cases. What does 1:1 mean in rep language? Better get a clear definition.
  3. Declare RWGII bankrupcy.
  4. I wouldn't show it either.
  5. So do I in a 183. I agree. I have disassembled it and put it back together. As far as I an concerned it is the best CN movement out. Mine is very accurate.
  6. Best wishes indeed. One part item that no one can seem to locate is the date wheel overlay for 2836 or Miyota movements in rollie reps( for increasing the date font size). If you could find those I am sure you could sell all you could haul back.
  7. johntheboy...this is not about you. Modern mechanical watches today, whether asian or swiss, can be adjusted to remarkable accuracy compared to very high grade swiss of a few decades ago. I recall that it took about three adjustments by the AD to get my new Rolex Chronometer adjusted to within 5 seconds per day in 1963.
  8. I have +7 sec/day with one adjustment on an asian automatic[ Alpha GMT II]. Probably could do better, but it isn't worth the effort to me.
  9. Don't worry...the last check should be to the undertaker...and it should bounce.
  10. Nunavut increased its annual hunting quotas by 29 percent last year — to 518 kills, an increase of 115 — saying that Inuit hunters were actually seeing an increase in polar bear populations. Or maybe Artic Oscillations
  11. @ryyannon I can't think of anyone whose posts I enjoy reading more than yours. Yes, even more than Klinkster.

  13. I believe he is ADMIN at RWI
  14. LOL Not genuine! Need vintage diapers.
  15. "2) This is a new one, never use it before. wind up two or three turns and the hands go so fast around (cool but broken) " A missing palet fork will do exactly that. Not engaging the escape wheel.
  16. Hi Slay, How can you tell that movement is chinese?
  17. yeah, it looked really out of proportion.
  18. Since the genuine squeaks, maybe you should not oil it! If you must, use a dry teflon lube with a liquid carrier that evaporates and leaves the teflon behind.
  19. "Elementary" 1756 + 50x5= 2006 2006-year you were born=your age
  20. It certainly is of the Miyota design, but in the first picture there appears to be a crown under the balance, which is the trademark of a chinese watch movement company. It may not be manufactured by the Miyota company.
  21. Using both IE7 Beta and Firefox here. Both are good, and I have been an IE user for a long time( use Exchange server with Outlook at my org.) But, I think I like Firefox a little better for most web browsing- I like the themes so I can customize it a little.
  22. Oh my! That isn't good at all. A Glued dial on an MBW...who would have thought so? But, if you got a genuine dial, you would proabbly have to glue that also. So....
  23. I believe The Zigmeister said he did get the screw to work properly. No reason why it shouldn't - or maybe he replaced the screw with one that worked..
  24. Forget me not!
  25. Is the 24 Hr Bezel removable for realignment or is it integral with the case?
