Virginia Tech...in Blacksburg Virginia; Western Virginia about 4 hours from Washington DC; small town, BIG University; that's JRaines Alma Mater I believe. Not far from where I live, in fact. A very good University...but a genuine tradegy.

I would like to see one on how to work on hairsprings. Sometimes you find a watch with a hairspring out of whack, maybe a small kink, or bend that should not be there. There is a maxim in the old watchsmith books, that says the measure of how good a watchsmith is, is how good he is with harisprings. I'll admit, that I am not as good as I would like to be, and hairspring techniques are not easy to come by. This may be too much to ask for...so, if you cannot, that's fine.

If so, it seems to me that you did not identify this movement as a Selita(?). Maybe I am looking at the wrong review. In any case, how do you identify a Selita movement; what are the markings for Selita?

Maybe, but someone with the cultural knowledge to know how to present these issues properly needs to be engaged in any effort to approach them...you know, "saving face", and all that.

I understood Edge's assertion without reading it twice. I would not say everyone else's issues were exactly the same. I was only addressing the Cartel assertion/suspicion for which at the time there was no real evidence in this thread. More evidence has come forth since then, both here and in other forums. Just because I didn't address the Lies issue does not mean that I did not understand what was being put forth. The white lies ( now black lies? ) issue has been known for some time..at least since Pugwash's thread. As I see it, the only effective way to deal with any of these issues is to have a place( scammed?) in this forum where these issues are posted for fair warning to all members. As to whether King is a part of this, I still do not know...only Andrew's statement( do you believe it...yet you think he has lied about other things?); yet, look at Angus's statement( another lie?) about Josh and Andrew...seems that they will cut each other's throat to get business. Seems to me you cannot believe anything anyone says in the Replica world.

After reading the thread in the link above, it does appear (from Andrew)that Andrew and Josh are colluding on price and perhaps even communicating regarding member purchases...at least those that price check between the two.
