It doesn't look like the buyer got what was pictured. I've never bought rep clothes or accessories but I'm assuming the process is the same as with watches. If I was sent a watch that was not exactly the same watch as in the QC pics then I would'nt be happy. That doesn't mean that my expectations of reps is high, it just means that I expect to get what was agreed upon.

I bought a couple of watches from silix. I've posted my review on the silix reviews area. Overall a good experience but like everyone says, you get what you pay for. Stay away from the really cheap watches, the "specials" are not even worth the $30 bucks unless you just want to play around with it and take it apart. But like I said, overall a good experience. Michelle is really nice and she responded to my emails fairly quickly. Postage was pretty quick too.

I would give him his money back straight away and cut contact with this guy. I agree with the above posts in that your troubles with him will probably continue after he receives the box. Someone like that will find fault no matter what you do.

I am sending it back. And the TD has been really good about it. I agree that it should have been picked up before it was sent. As for the loud movement, is there anything that can be done about it?

I recently received a watch (Panerai) from a TD and there are a couple of issues that I have not come across before. The first is the glass. It's a sapphire crystal with light AR coating but there seems to be a layer of dust on the inside making the glass look dull. I noticed a bit of dullness in the QC pics but thought it must be the lighting of the room and didn't think much of it until I got the watch yesterday. Looking at the watch it just doesn't look sharp, the dial is not "there" like it is with my other watches and the date is hard to read as well. When I angled it outdoors under the sun I could see a film of dust or particles of something on the inside of the glass and I managed to take a few pics which I sent to the TD. They agreed to take it back and fix it up or send me a new one. The other issue is with the movement...it's loud! Every time I move my hand I can hear it. It's a 23J. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do about it to make it quieter?

Sorry to hear that. It's a minefield out there. Some dealers are good but most are just in it for the quick buck. I'm really glad a came across this site. The TD's on here have earned the right to be listed as TD's so there is definately a level of trust that you won't find anywhere else.
