  1. I would say that the average age of our table of 25 people was around 35. I think you may have a valid point Ronin, i bet if i was 50+ they would not have asked such cheaky questions out of respect. At the end of the day i like my watches to be noticed , i think we all do to some level, but a simple 'that looks really nice' is enough.
  2. Nice suggestion. Just so happens i aquired a rather nice one recently.
  3. Ok, i'll do it.... Welcome. Take a look at the 'Watches, Clothing and Accessories' section on the main page. The people you see here are 'trusted dealers' who have a great selection for you to look at. Be careful, dont search for the web sites using a search engine as there are many clones of the good sites that WILL con you. Always use a link to the site from this forum. Shipping and customs is not a major worry. Some things do get stopped (a few stories recently) but most get through. Best option is to pick your watch, pick your dealer and ask their recomendation for shipping, some even offer a replacement if it gets seized (confirm this with them before). Good luck and just remember, if you want to buy a good replica watch, patience is the most important thing. If it takes 2 months to get to you then it takes 2 months
  4. Ask and you shal receive! Thanks for the hard work and keeping this amazing place going.
  5. Hey ZK I can totally understand that it's not to everyones taste but I love it. I have a varied taste in watches and like lots of styles and makers. Unfortunetly my collection is only small at the moment cos I'm fairly new to this but hope to make a few new purchases in the new year. Somewhere near the top of the list is a vintage GMT Master with Pepsi insert on soft, distressed brown leather. Wonder where I might have got that idea from...... Seriously love that watch mate!
  6. Hey C. well it wasnt a party at 12800 ft below sea level In all honesty, my good friends know i dont have that sort of money to spend on watches,im a young(ish) guy with 2 kids and a wedding coming up so £8-9K on a watch would be a bit unusual. On the other hand i'm blessed with a great job that see's me flying all over the world on business so people who know me but not my entire life probably wouldnt find it that strange. I think the guy with the Gen is just one of those who has money and likes people to know it and he wasnt to keen on the fact that he wasnt the only person with a 'Rolex' on that night.
  7. Saturday night was our anual Christmas bash, mainly old school friends and their partners etc. I was sat next to my best mates brother who ive know for many years but only see a couple of times per year. About half way through the meal he says 'WOW i just noticed that (pointing to my BK DSSD) do you mind if i take a look?' I handed the watch to him while he made coments like 'such a beautiful watch' and 'you can really tell why they cost so much, the quality is amazing'. Finally he came out with 'do you mind if i ask how much you paid for it?' now ive always said that if a friend of mine asks 'THE' question then ill tell the truth, so i did. Amazing how much his appreciation for the watch changed. I explained a little about the watch and the movement etc. (not trying to justify, just sharing my passion) he still thinks its a nice watch but the enthusism just went. Guess some people just dont get it!!!!!!! Fast forward about 2 hours (and a bottle and a half of wine later) and im in the bathroom washing my hands talking to a guy from our table. He's the husband of an old school friend who ive met 5 or 6 times before, nice guy but dont have mutch to do with him. He's a very successful guy with the business, the cars, the house etc.... As im talking and drying my hands he looks at my wrist with a confused expression. 'What's that?' he says. 'DSSD' i reply, at which point he holds out his arm to show me a Gen DSSD. I could see he was puzzled probably thinking 'how can he afford that'. His test was to say ' does yours do this?' at which point he opened the glide lock. 'Of course' i replied showing him mine. He then went on to tell me he paid 6.5K for his and its the best looking watch in the world etc. I didnt give him the chance to compare side by side or offer anything such as price etc (remember i said if a FRIEND asks) but he was convinced mine was Gen and some what disgruntled said 'look after that watch' as we left. The highs and lows of rep watches. Next time i'll wear my PAM 111 and see what they both have too say about that.
  8. In a PM, the sentence 'Item is listed as wrist watch.....' was censored to 'Item is listed as wris[censored]ch.....' Just realised that it could sensor again so this may not make sense but its now started making its own 'rude' words from parts of other words. I know its a problem but i found it funny.
  9. Guys, Got to work and everything is as it should be. All sections are there and can be accessed no problem.
  10. Hey Mike, I've got Gen section on the mobile version on the iPhone. Will check on the computer when I get to work.
  11. Sorry was reading this on my phone on the train . Yeh mine is DSSD not classic.
  12. Very nice. I want one soooooooo bad. Looks like its had the Inca block done too. I take it you bought this from another member. If you ever fancy selling.......
  13. I had similar thoughts and ended up going for a BK modded version. Am very very happy.
  14. Thats the baby! See what you mean about the movement. Oh well, looks like i'll have to opt for the older style (3 sub dial), its still a very nice watch but that new one is just......... :notworthy:
  15. SORRY!!!!!!!!! Just seen the thread further down the page. It realy winds me up when people start a thread without researching first, so for those who wanted to...... ive just punched myself in the face!
  16. Hi Guys Is anybody reping the '2 Dial' PO crono yet. Ive seen some quartz versions but looking for a decent auto? if this is an old topic or mentioned before, i apologise. Dan
  17. Hi Anguz, You might want to try sending a PM to member Londongeorge87. Some members on here have posted some good things about his work on repairs and servicing. Personally i have no experience with the guy so don't take my word for it but it might be somewhere to start.
  18. I have noticed ladies wearing bigger watches lately, specially in the hip hop world. TT daytona's seam to be a big fave. My missus always has her gen white J12 on but looking at getting her a rep lady DJ for something different.
  19. Its very nice no doubt, but you would have thought that a Gen supplier would make sure that their publicity shot for such a high end watch would have all the bezel screws mounted correctly. By the way if you do find a rep version please let me know.
  20. Im in UK and recently made a new purchase. The package was handed to Singpost (Singapore) on 17/9/2012. On Friday 21/9/2012 I was wearing the watch on a night out. Should add that this was a purchase from another member and not a TD, but i still think thats pretty dam quick.
  21. BK DSSD. And so the obsession begins. The first of many (i hope)
  22. Yeh, unfortunately the sale was for watch head only. Thanks for the suggestion, I've been speaking to BK and he's got one so think I should be sorted. cheers guys.
  23. Im looking for a bracelet with glide lock, divers extension as comes with the DSSD 'ultimate version', to fit a BK DSSD. Does anyone know where i can source one from complete with end links. Thanks
  24. I have to agree with TeeJay. Dont put yourself in a position where respect earned is soon lost because your trying to keep up with the 'big boys '. Go for something that looks good, is well made and has heritage. If these guys know watches they will respect what your wearing and when the time comes, you buy what makes you happy mate .
