  1. OK guys TC going in the solid aluminum watch case no glass as Seiko in it's box w/ no light, this way both will get equal light time under lamp this evening from a dead state. Switch to the vintage Seamaster 300 big triangle on a leather Nato. ;)

This dial may have to visit Big Dazza for a little of his ageing............

  2. Well guys finally got to wear my TC, I had a gen bezel, crystal (noAR), and crown (don't ask me why pretty damn good out of the box) put on as soon as it came in. But then I needed to wait for another link ( member rulosi to the rescue :notworthy: ) TC's come with an extra built in but I needed more............ :bangin:

But enough history so I bring to my friendly jeweler to add link (I'll just scratch it up!) no problem no charge done in a minute while I chat with owner. So now evening I put under 60 watt lamp for 1/2 hour put on go to bed. Wake up 5 hours later ( sleep very little) still glowing very nicely and pearl (gen) right with the dial on intensity. Now the mysterious supplier of this dial in TC's story well lord knows where they come from but as close as you get if not gen I venture. Now as you all know my regular pics suck and lume shots way beyond me so no pics! But it did happen just gonna have to trust MOAB on this one. :pimp:

PS as you guys know I have plenty of gens with Swiss super luminova but this one takes the cake. Now for a lume off with the vaunted Seiko lum-brite, report tomorrow morn.

  3. Alex we strive for accuracy some out of the joy of building other to have a call out proof watch on the wrist (if there is such a beast) others still because of the rarity as in some vintage builds that are for all purposes unattainable. It is what we do this is our past time.

  4. rolexuk, whatever you are or do, thinking about it one thing but if you do it and post it your gonna be gone. I understand your point about buying rep watches but we draw the line on outright theft and selling reps as gen, as you said about yourself never get over on a poor person well that is your rule for yourself and these are ours for guys who want to be here.

  5. Andy/guys,

I have been giving thought to PMing my counter parts on RWG bz, RG, and RWI whom I have good working relationships with in regard. I feel if we as a group make it know to all our dealers that this is getting out of hand they will react. They are the ones who must tell factories to cut the crap the customers are wise to it and it ain't gonna float. I know a lot of you go to other boards and I also know at other places you may get jumped for posting problems but you must I need your help to help you. If you have a legitimate case post it and send me the link I will back you up. We need to get all the boards on the same page if we want to exert enough pressure to effect change.

  6. I guess I should clarify I do not find the fact dealer was slow to keep his promise that alarming but the condition of movement even with shipping just reenforces what I have seen else wear in regard to movements we get. The fact that Archie said OK screw you I'll go else-wear is a good move ,increase in response time is a function of sales if you get my drift................
