  1. Well as the title reads breezed in the high end mall in my travels today and hit some ADs. Tried on Tudor Pelagos was underwhelmed , nice watch but looks to muck like so many divers I have. Did notice one thing while looking at Rolex subs and Tudors, SELs on Rolex were dead on the Tudors well excellent rep quality on the fit and I mean one of our best but I have seen a few of ours that good. (a lot of watches pass through my doors) In truth was looking for the BB in blue wanted to see the Gen color on the bezel so I would know if the rep was close, no joy not in yet they told me , soon. (two months) Oh and the explorer II well the gen looks so much better , the black was stunning or should I say more understated then ours.

OK across the way Omega, most models in window so just studied them, one more beautiful than the next. It was fun to see so many that we talk about in the flesh. Would I lay down that much for one watch, the debate rages inside me even now. Was just on Joma almost pulled the trigger on a Omega speedy Schumacher but stopped myself, this happens a couple of times a week. One day one day............................

  2. I have been around a bit and buy M2M 99% of the time. I am lucky as I can abstain from latest and greatest trap, once you get over that you can watch the board and pick up some nice watches.Hint: higher cost watches modded by our many talented guys is a sure way to get a good piece ,cost more but then again does it really................. ;)

  3. "If you are fairly active, 8 hours wearing the watch should make it run for 24-36 hours after taken off. Next time you wear it, slowly wind it about 25 or 30 turns before putting it on and wear it all day. After wearing it, park it and see how long it runs. If it stops in 8 to 12 hours you have trouble but if it runs 24 to 36 hours it is probably all right."

    Do that!

Epic thread! This is indeed a friendly and patient forum!

Over at other RWG they would have flamed him alive!!! LOL

  4. I never got to a stage where I would input my credit card info, I'm not sure that's the issue. I seem to remember this process being a lot easier; place order, pay with PayPal, accept QC pics, OBSESSIVELY check EMS tracking, enjoy your new watch!

And unfortunately those days are going if not gone. Noobs opening PP disputes on the drop of a pin (go check other RWG) PP in general cracking down. I do not know how many read the movement threads next door (as in not what ordered) but the factories doing some shady stuff with the new breed 2813 time bombs. Guys opening up surprise surprise , more PP disputes some well founded. It ain't going to get easier.............

  5. I wear a spanking 16800 sub with work shirts. It fits under the cuff of my tight fitting shirts nicely and looks the part in a corporate environment whereas with my 372 I may as well walk around with my schlong hanging out of the zipper. It's way too big and flashy for my liking. It certainly doesn't wreck shirts though. My recommendation is get a dress watch into the routine and save the Pam for weekends, nights and other days you wish to make the statement.

+ 1 if you dress in suit everyday get a dress watch Omega diver well not really fitting the bill. Aqua Terra comes to mind...............

  6. "BP factory uses refurbished ETA movement the noob factory have new ETA" Toro you sure about that, I just can not see it w/ the Swatch group cutting off everyone slowly but surely noob is getting them........... :g:

I will say this though the Sinn in the raffle was from Toro it had a stem/ winding issue I sent to misiekped, it was Swiss looking good per him. :pimp:

  7. "Guys, you need to face the facts, the Chinese can't get new ETA movements, the ones that are available are being snapped up by every boutique watchmaker in the world." Yes they are being snatched most micro brands changing over to 9015s or 8215s for 4-800 hundred and our guys are getting Swiss ETAs and selling 3-4 hundred, not!
