Nice post my friend. I just grinded down my insert today also. It was a [censored] to do too. You've got a good technique though. I did the outer sides by hand and the underneath part with the dremel. Very time consuming project. Then I glued my friggin bezel shut because I had to go to work after I glued the insert in and I couldn't watch it I had to pry the bezel off and clean the gunk out. Looks great now though.

Precious Time 14k Gold Reps - FACTS!!!!
bruce79 replied to Precious Time aka PT's topic in General Discussion
One of the better post offered on this new forum thus far. I love sh*t like this -
I just left it out and the bezel is nice and snug and turns fine. Guess it was just for cosmetics purposes.

1 useful suggestion, 1 not so much

I'm putting my older version sd bezel back on and am having problems securing this little black gasket to the inside of the bezel. My question is...is this black gasket for cosmetic purposes only or does it serve some other purpose?

Leaving for Italy tomorrow--what should I bring?
bruce79 replied to Estaban's topic in General Discussion
Oh yeah, one more tip for ya. Bring along any medication you might need including advil, allergy meds, etc. Over the counter drugs are nearly impossible to get in Italy without a prescription and a doctor visit=$$. I'm not saying bring tons of it but definitely bring enough to get you through your trip. If you go to Siena, eat at the Osteria Titti. I believe it's in the Porcupine neighborhood, near the edge of the city. good luck -
You have nothing to worry about. As we all know, 9-10 days is nothing in the rep waiting game. I know it's hard but be patient. I would suggest sending a waiting a little longer and sending a few pms first before getting worried. Post pics when you get your watch.

I agree, good to see you here The Zigmeister. PS could you post that thread on bezel replacements that you did a while back. I can't find it anywhere, thanks.

Leaving for Italy tomorrow--what should I bring?

Situations such as these are circumstancial. I'm sure she wasn't just stopped on the street because she was wearing a rep. The violation of wearing a rep could only be secondary to something else unless you are a complete idiot about it. If you're wearing the watch like everybody else wears a watch 'minding your own business' you should be fine. And guys, lets face it...our reps are the best in the world!!! 99.9% remember If someone spots one of our reps, chances are they're a member of this board! lol -
Leaving for Italy tomorrow--what should I bring?

I spent several months in Siena a few years ago and would go to Florence often. One thing that I noticed is there are tons of street vendors on the streets of Florence selling illegal goods such as sunglasses, bags, and yes, watches. Most of it is junk but that's beside the point. The police definately watch these guys but they still do their business, their products are just in suitcases and on portable cardboard walls, for those of you who have been there, you know what I mean lol. Take any watch you please as I personally wouldn't be concerned about anything there. Just don't get caught with any grass, don't recommend it Now coming back is a different story. I wouldn't have the watch on when I came back through US customs. To many potential questions to answer if you know what I mean. lol Do scope out the San Lorenzo market in Florence. Leather goods are the best you'll find anywhere in the world for the price. Perhaps there are some pam straps there as well. When I was there, I wasn't into watches like I am now so I don't remember if there were any straps . There's also some pretty cool watches at the market and you might even find a decent rep or two, if you look. lol have fun -
You know I actually like the 26/22 with my 127. It adds a touch of class to this watch and makes it even more wearable. Check out my picks in the photo gallery. In my opinion, you need pretty big wrists to pull off a 26/26 without it looking comical. Just my twocents.

Yeah, I think maybe so.

That's a nice stash there my friend

Well the font on the first bezel is way too thin so that's no good. But I'm not sure about the "4" on the second bezel either. The top of the 4 is not flat enough. The pearl is decent though. I'm not an expert. By-Tor is usually pretty good at this stuff. Good Luck

no worries, it's easy to miss stuff like that. luckily there is always someone around to help out.
