I received my silver dial Omega Aqua Terra XL from Andrew today...overall impression...GREAT WATCH. I'll post some pics when I get off work tonight but I need a little help. The dial has a considerable amount of dust particles on it and some of the hour markers have smudges on them. How difficult is this watch to take apart so I can clean the dial? It's got the asian movement. Are there any threads on this or can somebody give me some pointers before I dive in? Thanks

Tw Sub: 2mm Spring Bars Installed, Finally!

Very nice, perhaps you could explain the process. What type of drill did you use, etc. They look great. -
It's the SD for me today!

Thanks for the post! It looks as though I had it right, the strap is just too small because the buckle is on the side of my wrist, not on the bottom where it should be. Looks like I have a reg length 20mm black nato for sale.

I just received a NATO strap and can't firgure out how to fit my watch head on it. The way I have it now, the short side is way too short and the long side is way too long. Can someone please offer help? thanks

From the pics, it's hard to say. The crown guards and crown look good though I'm not an expert.

Of course, that is always the deciding factor for myself...what is this particular watch worth to me?

As far as I know, nothing on this EXPII is genuine. I recently aquired it from a fellow member but it originally came from Paul a couple years ago. It's really a quality piece with a nice feel (solid midlinks). With regards to my photos, I know the lighting sucks but these are my first pics with the lightbox and I just wanted to get them on the board as soon as possible. (no editing)

I guess I'm mainly referring to used/preowned watches. And you guys brought up some good points, how would the standard be decided and WHO would be the decider. With enough thought, I think something could be put together though. Like a watch review section with sub categories breaking down into make, model, edition. There could be a sort of value range...the information would be imput via a template so all reviews would follow the same format???

OK, The world of reps is forever changing...like technology, foreign policy, etc. Now this is just a thought, but what if...what if there was a sort of KBB put together for our reps. A standard of reps, new and used, that was presented so all could be informed and educated...members/traders/buyers/etc. For those of you who are NON-USA (not sure if kbb is outside of the states) Kelly Blue Book, KBB, is the standard for which the resale value (worth) of cars are determined. I really think this would be a success in the world of which we live. First you select the make, then the model, then the options...Just a way for all to keep up. Any opinions, supporters, critics??? Is this stupid...or an idea crazy enough, it just might work?

Hey Guys, looks like I missed a great time. I'm sure it was almost as fun and entertaining as the first gathering but the first was well,...the FIRST! Good job on the pics this time though!!! Like the beard Klink Tino, appreciate the pics and the watches..enjoying them!

Just practicing using photobucket to insert pics

Sorry to say...I will be unable to make it tomorrow. Too many things to do...not enough time. I'll miss sharing Heinekens with Klink the most. Have fun guys.

The solution to your problem is simple...you have too many pams. I have 5 REPS and am beginning to be 'over it'. Thin your lot down to a few and you'll grow to love them again.
-
You're right. I got this from a fellow member and it originally came from Roger. It's the old tw best stock and from what I've heard, these are among the few that are the correct thickness. I think the crystal is thicker than the sd's out there now and the caseback is nice and thick too. With regards to mods, t's a good base to start from.
-
The bezel isn't as thick as it should be but it's definitely thicker than most sd reps. If only by a smudge.

It's funny, I think all of Nissan/Infiniti SUV's have misaligned backdoor/backseats. Not very comfortable for the 6' and over...I agree.

Listen my friend...There is a reason no one has posted to your request. I would say most members of the board discourage questions like this as half the fun to this rep game is the hunt, reading, and research. If you get an answer that's worth a damn from anyone, I'll be very surprised. That being said, there are tons of different Pam111's out there and several dealers to choose from as well. Which do you start with, the watch or the dealer??? This is the hardest part. Do a lot more reading and use the "PM" function. I've pm'd 10x than I've posted. There are some very knowledgeable forum members here that are more receptive to PM's that some might think. Good Luck.

If you are refering to the reflection of my hands on the crystal, it is nearly impossible to get a photo of the saph. crystal without some sort of reflection. The crystal is almost as domed as the 127 and my amatuer photo skills only add to the difficulty. With regards to Kenberg's remarks, he's right...this truly is a steal for a gen watch. I paid just over $500 when they first came out at the end of '04. These Seastars are much better quality than any rep I've ever bought, 44mm wide, 14mm thick...This is really a quality piece...those of you who have them, you know. This sucker weighs in at over 180g too. I've got a NATO strap on the way that I'm going to throw on it. If the retail wasn't so low, I bet there would be reps of 'em.

Great Post!!! My sd needs a new date wheel, soon as I source one, I think I'll give it a shot.
-
Here are a few photos of my favorite Rollie. It's got it's flaws, cg's, lug holes, date wheel...but I still love it. I've replaced the insert but that's about it...the picture make the pearl look like crap but it's really much better in person.

She's got great taste. Out of all my reps, my girlfriend loves this watch the most.

Here is my gen Tissot Seastar. It is a lot of watch for the money. My favorite out of my entire collection.
