  1. Yeah, unfortunately those pins can be a problem to remove, I know for a fact
  2. You just have to press with 2 toothpicks (you can use something harder and more resistant but you will mark and scratch everything) the button release on the inside of the strap and, at the same time, push the pin itself. Be aware those pins, especially for the endlinks, are tough as hell...you will probably need brute force.
  3. Yeah, I feel you. It's indeed wiser to ask a local watchmaker do the check.
  4. Does the rotor move if you shake the watch vigorously? I would open the case (carefully, do not leave scratches on the case back, it's very easy unfortunately), check if there are screws on the movement holder blocking the rotor (or screws sitting too high), if that's not the case, remove the rotor (there's a screw keeping the rotor in place) and put it back. It's a super easy task but again, be careful not to mark the caseback.
  5. Fixed. Replacing the driving wheel was the right assumption. Thanks everyone for the support Just read your post mate, thank you and apologies for not even replying to you.
  6. You did well mate, I am in EU unfortunately and didn't want to push my luck with Customs. Date wheel for your mark XVI is a required upgrade.
  7. A tell is indeed the off white of the markers and the wording not white/bold as per gen. Date wheel is a big tell, depending of the rep version Crown is a tell too, most of the time (too thick).
  8. I have tried again and I realized the parts are all in the right place and the mechanism works one turn, then the driving wheels gets dislodged and doesn't engaged anymore. It doesn't get dislodged if I gently press the top of the driving calendar wheel with a stick of wood. Apparently there's too much tolerance and the part can move under the pressure of the spring. The maintaining plate is ok and apparently firm. I am a bit lost now as I have no idea which part might be responsible.
  9. Thanks SSTEEL I have stripped down the calendar module at least ten times (I know how to assemble it very well now :D) It's easier if I remove all the parts, copper lever and spring included. I have tried to orient the driving calendar wheel in different ways...to no avail. I am still not sure if once engaged I am fine or if it can be engaged in the wrong position. There must be a faulty part or I am missing something .
  10. Right. I have the suspect the issue in my 2836 is linked to a faulty driving calendar wheel. I am testing the movement with no dial. Date change takes almost 2 hours to complete: it starts at 10.20 pm to be completed at 12 o clock.. I can manually change date with no issue, cannot be the spring. Does my guess make any sense? Thanks
  11. Not for me, replacing a crown and tube is doable with minor effort after all. It is true I would expect a better accuracy for that price.
  12. Looks good. Major concern is the SEL fitment.
  13. Same here. 6.7" wrist, Ingy was too big for my taste. 3717 was ok although a bit too heavy on ss bracelet. I love my Mark XVI. I am considering a Mark XVII too now with gen parts.
  14. Oh come on guys, ordering a watch from a seller who posts pics of gen watches is a tremendous no no.
  15. I have been there too, not funny
  16. Forget it, movement trashed. Enough time wasted already
  17. Hello everyone, bought a newly serviced A7750 from m2m section (not here). I installed hands and dial, chrono works fine and seconds at 9-o-clock as well. Minutes and hour hands don't move at all. Keyless works seems to be perfect (I can set the time and the date, I can wind the movement). Movement came with no stem and I have more than one doubt about the seller. Any idea what the problem might be? Thank you
  18. Domi is indeed a skilled watchmaker.

    IWC gen parts

Yeah, I am afraid so... not much choice at the moment.
  20. ryaku

    IWC gen parts

They are not in Eu unfortunately
  21. I am well aware it is a long shot... anyway, any reliable source in Eu? Cheers
