TC case has a slightly lower crown than Gen, it will take both gen or 2892 but the proper one is the 24... so best go for a 24...

2892 has a different stem height. IMO get a 2824 or a clone if you want to go cheap.

expect everyone telling you not to do that. If the dealer is a TD nothing to worry, just be patient.

Reg. confirms that it is engraved so it is probably filled with paint...

oh the PC...now that I zoomed it seems etched to me as well. It's at home but I'll be away for 15 more days so I'll be able to see it live only upon return. The MBk couldn't tell because of the black paint. I ll probably leave the red case back on if that's plausible as you guys say. How about dial ? needs to be swapped ?

This is exactly why I decided to listen to your advice. I'm only getting 2 watches now and they have to be good. I want to invest some money on the 1665 and this has to start with the right foot. Also have to confess I were not very impressed by the QC pics of the P.C. 1665 I have received.

Very possible indeed ! I'm already having Reg source me an MBK 1665. Will have both soon and will let you know if it was worth the extra money
