Guys, Need a little help here. I have an opportunity to purchase a 16750 w/pepsi bezel from a local jeweler for $2500. The serial number starts with 66 and after checking references, that would indicate a 1980-81 model with the quick set functionality. It has been serviced by a Rolex AD and also has had the dial redone and a new raised crystal (I believe its mineral) installed. I see some models going for approx. $5k on the 'bay, but want to confirm I may have a deal here. From all indications, it seems that this jeweler does not realize what he has (he indicated it was a late 80's model to me). I have opened it up and inspected the movement, from what I can tell, it is all legit. Please lend me your thoughts.......it will be greatly appreciated. Jeff

agree, but I actually have a gen dial to fit the montbrilliant, dont ask me how, but I do.

I appreciate the post as well, I do try to read all reviews - but need to get in the habit of paying credit where credit is due (perhaps a new year's resolution??). In any case, I would like to know the dealer who accurately represented his claims - only if you have no issue with that, as I think it benefits the community as a whole.

I am on my second go around with Chief, simply because of the fact the results are stunning and he is excellent with communication. I am excited to see the results of the new coating process, it looks quite promising. Pretty much, from what I have seen, if you are in the states/canada - go with chief, and in europe go with k2222 - there is no way you will be disappointed.

you know, I love this watch hands down. But that pearl still gets me, though this one is closer to where it needs to be. I blame this board for making me so anal when it comes to my reps - before I would have lived with an off-center pearl without a doubt. anyways, great watch yaron - wear it well...........
