  1. I dont have the original bracelet. I could buy the GMT bracelet, but I have an everest glide lock clasp on the way so only need the links and end links. I would just prefer the TC as I know they are quality.
  2. Brill, thanks mate. Think thats worth a punt!
  3. Its for a custom, one off build so im not looking to replicate the GMT and I prefer brushed bracelets.
  4. Will a TC bracelet fit a GMT2C case?
  5. Ahh, dont know the answer to that sorry. Are the numbers an indication of the size in MM? I.e 26.1, 26,2 etc? If so can I just remove the old crystal measure it and buy the correct size?
  6. I'm currently working a custom build, its not a franken and wont resemble a gen watch, its something I have fancied doing for a while, incorporating the best parts of my three favourite watches into one. Anyway............... The case im using is a GMT 2 Ceramic. Although it obviously comes with a flat crystal I really want a domed sapphire instead of flat. I have found that Sternkreuz do a range of domed sapphire crystals available through cousins. Does anyone know which size I need or if not how to find out! Thanks in advance.
  7. UPDATE: Mike has been in contact! It seems he has had email issues. Anyway, things seems to be getting sorted (for me anyway)

    Bronzo

As far as I know the case for the rep is gold plated, not bronze. For me, unless they do it properly I wont be buying it, its my grail watch and I would be all over it if they could do it in a solid bronze case.
  9. Cheers mate, will read this on the Ipad in bed tonight.
  10. Happy bday mart! Have a good one mate.
  11. You just contradicted your own argument, you say he doesn't owe anything to any of us, yet we are entitled to the service we agreed to. Well, very few of us have received the service we agreed to and are waiting longer than we were told both before and after Mike's family troubles. You cannot say that we should all sit tight and not question why our watches have not been returned (repaired or not) when you have no clue about the in's an out's of each our individual 'service agreements' with Mike. Let me hazard a guess and say you don't have any watches with Mike? The thing that annoys me, coming from someone who runs a small business, is Mike's lack of customer service, its all very well for you to say he's a craftsman and his expertise takes time, I don't think anyone would disagree with you on that, however, a professional would have contacted his clients, apologised for the delay and given an ETA on when the job would be finished. This hasn't happened. I have been patient, I PM'd Mike once, no reply. Sent an email 5 weeks ago, no reply. Sent a second email on Tuesday this week, still no reply. If you find that acceptable from a business, any business, then more fool you.
  12. Welcome on board, your in the right place here!

  15. Oh yes, substantial. The postage costs alone must be fair bit! Realistically I would envisage a £5-600 loss.
  16. Cheers fellas, yep its been interesting to say the least, but also very enjoyable. Sgt, its going to be tough but im determined!
  17. As many of you know im a serial flipper, before I joined RWG I was a serial gen flipper and before that I was serial motorcycle flipper. I dont even now why I do it, its a sickness and I need curing! I so want to hold on to a watch for a year or 2 even and get to know it a bit better but im always on the look out for the next watch, but my friends, I have set myself a challange to keep just one watch (a PAM 005) until after Christmas, at which point I will treat myself to a new watch. To do this I need your support my fellow watch geeks, please dont sell me any watches! I recently looked back through my photobucket account and realised the extent of my sickness, I have been a member here for 11 months, a relatively short period of time, but in that short time the number of watches I have owned is crazy. Here is a look back at an interesting, expensive, amazing, but ultimately stupid year of owning rep watches: So first up, the reason I came here, a PVD Sinn U2 to replace the gen I sold, this is what got me started. I couldnt believe the quality and it got me hooked: When I joined I had 2 Gens, a Helson Bronze Shark diver and a Kemmner Bund: These two were sold, to fund 3 more reps, a Hublot, 1665 and Project X Sub: I then added a 212 Panerai: The 212 and Project X were sold and these two bought to replace them: At this point my Rolex fetish was in full swing so the Hublot went and in came this Explorer 2 and Milgauss: Then the first of a few frankens, this is the one I regret selling the most: I then sold everything and went down the Breitling and Omega route, these two came in: This came and went in 24 hours!: This fella didnt last long either: Next I discovered vintage Panerai and picked these two up: Had a bit of a change, traded a few and sold the rest, In came a 111 and a 390: Then I added a 029: Then I sold everything to fund this: Which in turn made way for these: In came another UPO, which you will be amazed to know I actually still have!!!: and also a Franken Seamaster: Sold the 5513 and seamaster to fund these: A few went and these two frankens came in: These both went and in came this: and this: Then these two: This 005 that is now my keeper till Xmas!!: Had this for a short time: This lasted a fortnight: Lastly this Superocean: And there you have it, 11 months and way too many watches! Im serious about sticking to my 1 watch plan but who knows If I can last, its going to be tough but I want to do this and prove to myself I can do it. The 005 is the one watch I keep coming back to, although it was tough to choose it over my franken UPO and the Superocean I still own. Hope you enjoyed the pics and any noobs reading let this be a lesson to you about how bad things can get when your addicted to flipping! Other than the financial implecations of buying and selling so many watches I have truely enjoyed all of these watches, its been a great journey and Im glad that it was all done through RWG, this place is incredible and I hope to stick around for a long time yet. Cheers RWG!
