  1.  I’ve seen some insane prices on there also.  MY?

MY = Michael Young. Well respected in the gen scene for his work on repairing bracelets. He also produces highly quality T19 crystals:

Sometimes you can pick up a used T19 service crystal from chronic-shop at a reasonable price:

Thanks! Your's looks awesome, too. :)

The insert is from a long gone, very limited batch of replacements for gen Milsub owners. I'll post a build log of the watch next month or so. Took me almost 7 years from learning about milsub for the first time to finally finishing this thing.

Thanks, would love to hear about it! I remember hearing about those inserts, very rare indeed. So I‘m guessing it’s a gen-spec build. Congrats on a beautiful watch!

  3. So, aside from a Gen, could I reasonably expect that a Yuki or MQ assembly (Insert & Ring) to snap together, without glue?
The WSO did fit my retainer properly.

There are no guarantees. Ask before you buy if the inserts are snap-in or glued.
  4. I reported it after my offer was refused. I'll have to check back on it...

I reported it too before posting, as well as sending the seller a message. Unfortunately the watch is still up. Hopefully potential buyers will be savvy enough not to pull the trigger.

I wouldn’t go that high, jackflash makes a better one and he is a know seller?

Thanks buddy! It's just a hobby for me, once in a while I may sell one of my builds. However, if the Missus catches me messin' with watches too often, this tends to happen...

  6. I haven't had a problem with the WSO bezel assembly in the past. If you don't go for gen, I would go for a Yuki insert and either a Yuki or Athaya pearl. Yuki's is way overpriced but better finished, the Athaya pearl needs access plastic trimmed, it's just as good as Yuki's when done. While you are at Athaya they have decent 700 crowns too. Here’s a shot of the WSO bezel assembly on my 5517 with a T19 service crystal:

And the Yuki insert on my MBW 5513, also with WSO 580 endlinks and gen-spec 2mm springbars. Helenarou dial with re-worked lume, ETA 2846 movement with mixed handset (Clark & Rafflestime):
