  6. Yes, it's a very funny hobby. You are so right about that. Another thing I noticed is that sometimes I care about accurancy some times I just love the rep so much as a watch itself that the flaws versus the gen doesn't bother me at all
  7. Sorry for the bad pics ...sun is gone Actually J. it looks higher but it feels a little less massive thant the Upo.
  8. @Max and Marsu: Thanks guys. @LordRasta: you are so nice S. Thank you very much for your proposal. Lello's DW is on it's way I'll keep this one and share the pleasure with you wearing my previous one!
  9. Hey Iceberg, You are right. We're all wanting to learn and I am also wanting to learn. Has the watche been polished ? Yes, of course. Will I, as a second owner polish it? No of course even if the clasp is already full of desk diving scratches now. I have no idea why you really want my clasp to be a rep but I will point you to some facts: 1. Never trust a photo on the internet: it might be the angle showing something differently. 2. Why question a long term seller, and believe me the guy I bought this SD from is an expert and serious collector. The watch comes from Amsterdam's most famous authorized dealer. 3. The crown on the clasp: here under is a better huge picture for you. 4. The pin in the clasp (the one to adjust the size) has a cavity to receive the genuine Rolex tool rounded end to avoid scratches when sizing. That is never seen on a rep clasp. Here under is a better huge picture for you. Finally: if I was a scaming seller, I would have put a [censored] movement in the watch instead of replacing a 200$ clasp by a 40$ one... Does this makes sence now or you still want me to say it's a rep? Cheers Stephane
  10. Great idea. I would love to get some ideas too... I first put each watch in its corresponding box, then went for separate boxes containing several watches (6 Rolex Modern, 6 rolex Vintage, Pams, Omega, ...). None of these are cool. I am going to go for woden boxes with 12 watches but in which place put theses boxes ? I want to be able to see them when I want and hide them when I'm away... Not an easy puzzle Cheers Stephane
  11. IWC Ingy SS from BAZZ Dear All, A long time ago, I got myself a SS Ingy. It was coming from a great member and was a great watch. For some weird reason, I sold it At least it went to a very good home Recently, Bazz put his Ingy for sale and I wondered if I shouldn't get it. The deal I asked Bazz to keep me on the top of the list of buyers for 24 hours. I didn't want to go for it right away to regret it later. He kept the watch for me, although he received higher offers than his initial price. That only is just fantastic, isn't it? So, of course, in the end the deal was made and the watch shipped the next day. Funny: the package arrived after having been opened by my local customs. As it was supposed to be watch parts and that the kevlar strap was in a separate plastic bag and immediately visible. They didn't even open the bubbled pack that was inside the envelop too and that contained the watch!!! The actual watch This Ingy has a double Anti Reflect Coating from Chieftang's previous generation. The feeling when looking at it on the wrist is as good as on my other watches with double AR done by K2222. We are really lucky guys to have such great members to help us. No crystal Blue crystal I really love this watch. It is like a huge and heavy Sub or SD. Tick but still very comfortable on the arm. The watch is powered by an Eta 2824...but I won't show you this time. I do not open my watches anymore unless it is a Rolie as I have no perfect tool for this case back. I have to add that this watch is 100% pristine. It's even much better looking than in my souvenir. I wonder if Bazz did something special to this one. It's shining wonderfully. Happy ending! I was sad not having this baby in my collection anymore…well she's back now! It was a pleasure to do this transaction with Bazz. He added the Kevlar strap to the deal by the way. I have only one word to describe this man: Bazz is a generous gentleman. Thanks for looking and before you go, have a look at a great photo from the previous owner. Click here for Andy's great review Gen/Rep will help you to spot the differences if you are not familiar with that animal! Cheers Stephane
  12. Send me your shoes, my wife moved out! 99% of my closet are free
  13. amazing place: I've never heard the warm/cool trick untill now. Thanks for the tip!
  14. I don't think you would say that if you had it in your hands
  15. Lord, congratulation on the 1K. This is indeed a great community and it is members like you who make it so!
  16. I fully agree with you. It's how the watch is globaly that makes it vintage or not: aged dial, light scratches here and there, second hand or used crystal... All these parameters must be there for me otherwise I feel like wearing a modern watch. Yep, sure. I have only one NDTrading (5513), and was a bit disappointed though. It's currently being redone. Would you really recommend NDT for 1665s? I mean their price is so high that it would put my trilogy at an insane value.
  17. Ah ah, that is funny...shall we find colours for each watch What would suggest for the 3717 ?
  18. Oh no: My first rep was a [censored] one I guess (will try to shoot pics tomorrow) But my first time was great
  19. Great idea LR. I really want to share all these stories...reminds me of "the first time"
