  1. Poor Rolex I'm so happy I picked up a Y2K gen SD. This SD looks like a bad rep indeed. My god, those engravings Who the hell would want the time at 3900 meter depth anyway ?! Don't they use Submariners at that depth
  2. Actually, I agree with you for the no dates. They are so simple that it gives them a little magic. The dial is a NDTrading. I got the watch from JustAsGood. I didn't yet post a pictorial as a gen dot needs to be installed. It will happen soon
  3. Thank you very much BT, Bazz and Max @Bazz: wow, that is a great and friendly gesture, many thanks in advance. Allthough I don't know what it is, I really appreciate in advance
  4. Very nice Ubi. It's one of the niciest Rolex in my opinion. I have only one concern with this model. Do you feel it "normal" on the wrist? Isn't it too small ? Cheers and thanks for sharing your project with us. Stephane
  5. You might want to click on the link in my signature (Trilogy)...
  6. @Jojo Well, what can I say Jojo...now I look at a 5512 Your watch is very nice, congrats. The 5513 is from JustAsGood and I still have the gen pearl to install. I must recognize that a no date is really cool...even when I don't remember what day it is @Vlydog I'm sure you'll love the 5513/12. Amazing simplicity @SubFrog Thank you so much, Ze Frog I'm a lucky guy so far.
  7. Hi Bebenn, Welcome. Welcome to this nice and quiet place. Cheers Stephane
  8. Great ideas !!! Let them come...let them come...
  9. Hey hey, I know Jetsons, ...you've seen it. Thanks. Agreed! It feels so natural to wear a Rolex after any other watch. Like a second skin as we say in french. I have a very addictive personality and like to play new games, have new goals. I looked at the vintage and noticed there was 3 different dials for 1665 and 2 for 1680... Makes sence to me to get them all and make them as close as the real deal. At least more sence than collecting all the 16610 available reps which was my first idea
  10. Thanks to all of you guys for the nice words It has been very long too learn what is good and what is bad in this hobby. I lost a lot of energy, time and of course money along the way as I was very naive. I will remember the good guys of course, forget about the (few but real) assh*les I crossed in my journey. These watches wouldn't be what they are without my friend MM. Oh, I'm still very frustrated that I can't name him here of course I would like to thank the numerous members who helped me in putting this "box" toghether (they will recognize themselves). I received tons of advices, parts, links to parts and information... Cheers Stephane
  11. I love all your suggestions guys and girl !!! @Enzo: too bad I do not have 15 gens (you missed one tag ) Anyway, none of your ideas is the one I had...
  12. Great news today. Toghether with the 1680s this beauty came back home
  13. Dear All, It has been a very long road before I end up in paradise Today, my two 1680 finally came back home after an 11 months travel and a lot of frustration. I will come back on these babies later this week or next. So, my "crazy" vintage box is complete now (at least for the moment) Anyway, enjoy. Cheers Stephane 1665 Single Red 1665 Double Red 1665 Great White 5513 1680 Red 1680 White
  14. I am sure, My Lord, I am sure Funniest is I have to get a Lello DW now
  15. Wonderfull review Andy. Thanks so much for your time and efforts. I sold mine to LordRasta and regret it so much that I bought one again
  16. I heard two vintage babies are arriving here soon and will get a maximum of wrist time and photo time in the newt week So I'm wearing my gen Sea Dweller for 48 hours as it will go back in its box soon
  17. I'm looking at these BB for a while. Not yet in love, but who knows. Keep us posted, Pix. Did you order from your usual collector ?
  18. I know that someone is trying to sell his MBK Jumbo since a while ... Me
  19. Oh, forgot to mention I didn't really care about measuring the 3135 of the 16600 so far. I started to wear the watch 45 hours ago. Guess what: +13 seconds in 45 hours... Ok, that might indicate it needs a service but 13 is a lot compared to our 2836/2824 It reminds me that my brand new Baume et Mercier, Tissot & Seiko were not COSC either (variations up to 10 seconds/24h). So QC in term of time setting doesn't seem to be the priority either I never had a +/- 10 seconds/24H in reps and we all know that QC is almost not existing.
  20. Very nice pictorial Pix, as usual. Thanks for your time. Lovely watch too! Omega has done very nice watches. Probably my fav brand with Rolex and IWC.
  21. Exactly! RepAustria often says he saw so many flaws on genuine watches There are also so many variations for a same model thru the years! Our reps ARE GOOD
