  1. A very nice piece Rosnik. Congrats on the project, one of the heaviest seen this far. I wish your watchmaker would drill my case Cheers Stephane
  2. Allthough every Rolex fan has a 16610, in my case it seems it is the one with the less wrist time. So I decided to go for it today
  3. It seems that our London and Paris guys say that prices are insane (which I confirm btw). We choose Brussels as it was "central" but maybe we should choose a capital where there are the most members this time. So, I see a retreat in Poland/Hungary/Slovakia/Germany...
  4. Oh the Bezel ? . . . . . I put it on my TW best

    Polex ?

It's their signature. They sign their masterpiece... If there is no Polex, then it is not a good "genuine" rep
  6. Oh, I didn't mention this but it goes without saying: another GTG at my place is allways welcome. It was a real pleasure for me. Besides that, it's 20
  7. well Narika knows... And yes, London, Paris are not cheap for accomodation...
  8. Hi All, A while ago my almost 10 years old son noticed a insert swap on a GMT II. I was very impressed that he noticed it and asked why he was saying that. "Well this one's print is more shiny Daddy"... Today my daughter (12 years) was doing homeworks near me and suddenly said: "Daddy, you lost the glass on your watch!" The kids are wonderful, specialy mines of course Cheers Stephane Oh, this is the watch I was wearing

    Polex ?

Yup some Polex on other Rolex indeed...but very few Shitinerand
  10. Stephane

    Polex ?

If you come across a Polex, get it. It's a so called MBW/MBK and probably the best rep available
  11. A bit off topic, actually totaly off topic Ziggy, I admit I'm the kind of "not saying to not offend anyone" or simply not spoil the party @RWG. At the end of the day you are right, we all should post "the facts" and only the facts when bad experiences arrise.
  12. I'm in anywhere anwyay but from saturday evening only
  13. By the way, one was also planned in "eastern" EU (Poland)... And Spain was also mentionned if I remember. Ok, well then let's go and start another EU GTG, NOW.
  14. I would be in for London aswell...it's only 12 hours of travel with the Eurostar now from Brussels (from wich 11 hours waiting in the train for it to start)
  15. I'll say GREY. Not black, not white. Isn't it so that RWG is a public forum anyway as not every member who can read threads is registered? Also, isn't it so that our level of knowledge depends on personal experience and amount of reading. I hate thread crapping but I would like to get advices from posters in a sale thread on items I don't know very well personaly. I'm not talking about Chad's one here, but in general only: if something seems wrong, the community should know. A FS thread is not just an ad, it is a thread that must be commented freely too as some guests or members must be protected. On the other hand, specificaly on prices. It seems this is the problem in Chad's "for sale" thread; As long as the requested price is not completely insane, why not ask a fee for the following: - time spent to source parts - wait to get them - possible furstration of receivng the wrong item - costs for receiving them finaly + additional wait time - costs for sending them out with the watch to a modder - shipping and mod costs to get it back. - all the risks of seing these packages seized or lost. All this deserves some cash back too in my opinion. About my 4 last purchases, 2 were very pricey, though still a good deal (thanks again guys). One in particular would have taken me a couple of years to build and I would probably have it wrong in the end anyway. I have no problem to pay for the parts, the mods, the shipping and the wait of another member in this case. Just my two cents. Cheers Stephane PS: is anybody having a TW Best Sub 1st generation (that is thread crapping)
  16. Lovely watch indeed Cats. I see you prefer it "neat" not to aged like I do. And, we have the same stupid bracelet 16520. How the hell is it possible that MBK still print that number on the links I love the distortion that the T39 Clark Crystal does. I'm still not sure that my Genuine T39 was a good idea at all. Clark is really great. The lume markers are wonderfull too. Wearing it like it is now is much better than out of the box to enjoy it, isn't it? The only addition I would recommend is a CWP insert and pearl and add some signs of wear maybe. Well done Cats, Cheers Stephane
  17. Exactly ! The rep/low quality dies will strip on the teeth of the rep case backs. Don't even try them pls
  18. Hey Cats, I got myself a cheap set and bought a bergeon 29,5 only. This way I have the arm and I can fit it to the die. 19. Well, Lani, I agree with you that there is a huge difference in helping each other and being "concierge"... The last "concierge PM" I got is this (I didn't remove nor add a word): This fellow didn't even say "Hi" but said "thanks". I don't even buy from Ruby so I disregarded the PM this time
  20. Well, for sure, I too look forward to it
  21. Wonderfull gift from a wonderfull wife I wouldn't mind getting such gifts...one day I have to wear this one today for two reasons: - I went to the oldest AD of my town today to have my 16600 serviced (oh my god) - I might wanna trade this Explorer II one of these days as I do not really wear it.
