  1. Beautifull photos Lani. Thanks for taking the time! I love your watch.
  2. Very impressive list of gen stuff here Divano. Lovely so far. I would try to have the dial aging match the hands aging Well done anyway. All the best Stephane
  3. Thanks Ubi. The case is a weirdy...some of us that bought from Girards are saying it's a Phong one... Who knows It also came with the correct genuine mvt (Eta) Come on Lani, we wait for you
  4. Fantastic SnowFlakes everyone... I'll contribute a bit while waiting for Lani's with a SnowFlake no date build with Ubi parts (Dial/Hands)
  5. So great to see such an amazing work again. Congrats K. That is one of the greatest project you achieved so far and God knows you had some done !!! Wear it proudly
  6. Enough is enough - I have cancer - I'm divorcing - I'm fully loaded with work - I have a flu because I was in Mexico last week (replace Mexico with any other city for other years). - PayPal blabla.... - Fbi rang my door because of dealing with counterfeit goods - I couldn't pee today, can you imagine how painfull that is (sure!) - I've been fired because of the US poor economy (oh, that was 5 years ago, right?) - ....list your favourite here !!! We've heard them all...and more are to be invented yet I'm sure. A transaction is easy: you buy, you pay, you receive. Anything else is weird. If a transaction is not closed within reasonable time, file a complain. Laz, I'm sorry this happens to such a nice guy as you. You do not deserve that at all...
  7. Very happy you got it By-Tor! Congrats to you and anyone involved Re-posting the one I wear today
  8. That is a stunning project SC! It came out very well. I specialy like the "no pearl" effect Congrats and all the best Stephane
  9. That is a beauty BT. You said you will keep it...and I strongly advice you do so You inspired me to put the GMTIIC back in the box. Continuing this long week-end with a classic too RepAustria's GMTII
  10. @Tazz: me jealous Wearing this one tonight. This is an amazing watch. I'm close to say a super rep, but not only. It is also a fantastic move for Rolex. Have a great sunday evening all. It's holiday tomorrow here...I love that
  11. Dear All, Some might remember I was the owner of a Gen Black Explo II. I sold it as I couldn't justify 3K for a watch sitting in a box and never worn. Having said that, I like the model a lot...not like a Sub or a SD, but a lot. Yesterday I saw one on a guy's wrist and it reminds me that I have a genuine black dial in my parts bin (and probably matching hands) . So, after reading By-Tor's review here and Dluddly's comments, I'm not sure I can build a good franken. The reason is : the right watch is hard to find. Meaning the case accepting the gen dial diameter. I figured I'd rather post here than start to spam all our dealers and beg them to find me a 2006 Trusty Explorer II If anybody could help by selling theirs or point me to the right person to source one, it would be very nice of them. Many thanks, All the best Stephane
  12. Agreed on what Zap says. It's a matter of budget as usual in any kind of purchase. But, asian 21j can be flawless for years. Many members here have Noobmariners with that movement that still run perfectly. I have had some with no problem and I have one that always ran weirdly (no PR, stopping and not wanting to start again...) So your choice is: buy cheap and change the movements each time they fail or buy expensive and have the movement fixed if it fails. But remember, no rep is 100% garanteed to run like a charm for years unless they feature a Genuine ETA mvt which seems to be more and more difficult to get. Clones aren't that great according to what I read here. It's part of the game.
  13. Exactly! Caruwe, again I'm not an expert at all. And, when I see the level you reach here, I'm far from being one someday! Congrats.
