  1. I think the one with the wooden back looks much more special than the new one that is due to release
  2. Nice MBW!
  3. I was really worried when I read you didnt remember certain things... glad that you are at least a bit better now! hope you recover 100% soon!
  4. Those were the only US $ bills I had left I posted a pic with 10k in Euros about a year ago
  5. I dont even have a HBB and I'm certainly NOT going to spend 1k on a BRACELET lol. I cant comment on the lug plate, if its hard or not, I really dunno!
  6. I SWORE never to buy a PAM, I thought they were BUTT ugly. Now I have almost ONLY PAMs.
  7. Not my, nor my friends' impression of Paris. I have to admit though, I havnt been to london for a while. Dont really like it that much. Too many bankers who think they are cool, because they spend 5.000$ on a XXL bottle of vodka
  8. I'm not (anymore?) a dollar-income tourist, I currently live within the European Union&I also earn my money there. I have been to almost any big city in the western world, and let me tell you that Paris is by far the most expensive city IN THE WORLD. I have NEVER spend so much money on drinks and food EVER. Not in Boston, not in New York, not in London (ok, it was a long time ago when I was there), not in Zurich, not in Hamburg, not in Amsterdam, not in Berlin, not in Munich, not in Stockholm, not in Warszawa, not in Vienna, not in Dublin, not in Edinburgh, not in Glasgow, not in Barcelona, not in Milan, not in Rome, not in Chicago, not in Istanbul, not in Ankara, not in Rotterdam, not in Eindhoven, not in Venlo, not in Tallinn, not in Kopenhagen and not in and not in ANY other city I have EVER been to. I'm sorry, Paris is a LOVELY city, but food&drinks are WAY WAY WAY too expensive, even when compared to other major cities.
  9. This comes from someone who tried to sell socalled "conversion" kits with stem winder Angelus movements - that required an aditional 2.000$ of work - for TOP dollars...! I wont even go into it any further, before you start crying again...!
  10. but what is the AUTHORIT
  11. In Paris, its best only to eat at McDonalds. Everything else is _ridiculously_ overpriced. I paid 4 euros (!!!) for a 0.2l coke at the CHEAPEST chinese junkyard restaurant somehwere around la tour d'eiffel
  12. lol i'm soo sorry, but this thing just made be buy the freakin BK costume on eBay lmao
  13. OMG this is SOOO awesome lol // sorry for OT
  14. Yeah TTK, I was wondering about that too, it makes you look unimportant, dont it?
  15. i think they have a hard time selling the HBB alone. didnt you see the almost brand new HBBs? they sold only after being lowered over 100$ off retail (379$)
  16. I was quoted only 1000US$. The funny thing is, the HBB ceramic rosegold costs ~18k with rubber strap and 22k with the bracelet. but you can get te bracelet only for 1k - wtf?
  17. My guess is, its because ETA produces in China, therefore the tooling to produce the movement is already in China. So its not hard to replicate the movement, if you have the right tooling. Plus the Copyright for this movement most likely expired, so this is not even an illegal clone. Its most likely legal (besides the ETA stamp). The 7750 copy is a 100% legal copy!
  18. Joshua/Andrew charged 50$ for waterproofing when there was no waterproofing done? WTF? I'm sorry, but ANYONE with common sense should have refused this 85$ quote in the first place!
  19. OK, then they are "invisible", its all the same to me
  20. lets hope the steel version will not cost 800US$
  21. Yes they do. but there is most likely never going to be a rep of this strap
  22. they all fear that their posts get deleted again
