If I may also add, I understand why Cucumber maybe does not tell someone who is new and whom he does not know _everything_. What I dislike is when people try to benefit as much as possible community but when they discover that they might not be able to own 27 angelus movements, they play the "everyone for himself" game.

Sometimes these are correct but don't work or missing stems etc..so its a toss up.

You need a few movements to make one rep to cover the mistakes/problems..there are no parts available for these anywhere.

I do know a local watchmaker that can repair ANY damage on a watch, because he makes watches himself and has all the equipment. If you have a broken one, or one thats missing a stem, I'd buy it, as long as it has the correct size

Well - I've asked several people and read everything I could find on Angelus movements and clocks and such - and no one is talking. Everyone covering their own ass.

We've got guys here with 4 or more movements - and they still won't give clues to anyone on how to find the right one.

But I think I've found a movement now. From someone who actually knows what they are doing and is willing to help.

If it would be part of the plot that you have a fake watch, it might be a differnt story (and even then you cant just use a copyright infringement from a questionable source), but fake watches and cheap stuff were never part of the plot. It was quite the opposite, Uma was pretty rich due to her contract killing!

They do it all the time, everywhere in the world. Some kid shoots a few ppl at school and they blame it ALL on the computer games.

If those games really make ppl do such things, there would be at least 10000 shootings every day, because almost ALL healthy kids play those games.

That guy who shot all those ppl (ResistantX) had other problems in his life. He said that he was not going to put up with the konformist [censored] of our society. he said he did not want to live a life whose whole prupose was to work work work and then marry and later find out your wife screws the neighbor and you got a brain tumor just after you retired.

He had to re-do 9th or 10th grade twice and he had no perspective, because veryday we hear on tv that there are no apprenticeship places for school graduates and that the social security system will collapse sooner or later, because the polititians are to afraid to do something fundamential about it (for example paying ppl who chose NOT to have kids LESS pension). He was also bullied around at school all the time, he was once forced to put a glowing hot piece of metal in his pants by upperclassmen, and none of the teachers really did something about it.

Yes, that kid loved guns, and he loved playing those games. So do I, and I did too have a few bastard teachers, but I did not end up killing everyone at my school.

Before they start banning those games, they should make sure that kids can get an apprenticeship place after school and that they have a life perspective.

We covered this in a RWG thread when the movie first came out in dvd. In the movie biz, a lot of the items actors wear are from the prop dept., its part of the costuming. As expensive as movies are to make they don't usually have $10 K - $20 K daytonas in the inventory. Most everything provided is a replica. However, since Pannies are not that expensive, the ones you probably see in recent movies are probably real unless the prop. dept. guys are members of our rep. forums! Also product placement by the watch companies goes on, thus you will see IWC, Omega, etc. vying for screen time on closeups of actors checking the time on their watches.

If you show a fake watch in a movie, you are presenting a product that is not real and of poor quality. I do not think, that ANY company would appreciate this.

Seems this depends on the country the package is in... a friend of mine had been working for an express-service here in Germany and they have to sign for each paket and the office and the stores are video-observed... the only possibility in Germany to get the item inside the package is to open it and close it again... as it will be noticed who had been the last one working with the package... mostly the driver are the ones who swipe the items... there van/truck isn't video-observed and they can stop somewhere on their route and prepare some packages...

In Asia or... the sytem of the express-service is working different... if no one really cares about the package it's easier to remove the complete thing...

Btw. I had something "lost" in the mail, too. I ordered something from the UK and the package never arrived. The seller refunded me though. I really really hate thieves. It wasnt about the money, it was about the item, it was a collectors item which is impossible to replace.
