    So ...we're not allowed to ofend anyone today......who cares....if you're black...and somebody calls you by the N word......tell him to [censored] off.....it's simple.....!

    Muhammed Ali hit it on the head....."bees fly with bees...and birds fly with birds".......we're all so intent on developing these multi cultural societies and rushing headlong towards some sort of Utopia that we're losing sight of some things.....prejudices / bias / cultural differences have existed since the dawn of time.....it's ingrained into our DNA.....and you can;t really remove it......all it takes is a set of specific conditions to bring it welling up to the surface.....white people are no more racially biased against black people than the reverse.....Asians for example will rarely accept a family member marrying outside their culture / religion.....as will orthodox Jews.....Catholics......etc etc......it's all a crock of [censored]......and it's time we got rid of PC....Kramer was venting his spleen at what i guess were African Americans who were heckling him......50 years ago they may have been hangong upside down....but that was 50 years ago....now who's laughing all the way to the bank....!

    I can't change my own oil (well probably can but never tried or learned how).

    I can't cut my own hair.

    I can't wire my own house.

    All these things are probably pretty easy for those who know how to do them... heck there is not much out there that is really hard to do. I bet if any one of us looks at ourselves we will find out that we cannot do numerous fairly "easy" tasks.

    For instance people regularly pay me $40 to unjam their computer CD drive when I tell them all I am going to do is stick a paperclip in that tiny hole and they can do it themselves. But they would rather pay me to.

    Install a DVD Drive? Unplug 2 cables, swap 4 screws plug cables back in, maybe move a jumper. I will draw you pictures for free. People beg to pay me to come to their house and do it for them.

    It's good to step back and look at the big picture :)

    Cutting your hair and turning a screw isnt even the same ballpark! If you cant even do that, you might aswell give your DL away!

    Why dont you sell it then kruzer? :)

    I like WM's case+crown, but for 800$ (just the case) I pass. I also recently passed on one of DW's cases. he seems to have raised his prices a lot. 300$ for a simple watchcase is too much IMHO. Genuine Datejust cases go for like 120$ on the bay. Why pay soo much for a rep case?

    If Package comes from EMS TAIWAN (Eddie Lee): www.dhl.de I'd advise NOT buy from Taiwan if you live in Germany, because you WILL have to go to customs and OPEN the package there, 100%! Every Parcel that doesnt go through a courier into Germany but with DHL will automatically be sent to customs and you have to go there PERSONALLY and open it

    If Package comes from EMS USA (USPS) www.dhl.de I'd advise NOT buy from USA if you live in Germany and use EMS via USPS, because you WILL have to go to customs and OPEN the package there, 100%! Every Parcel that doesnt go through a courier into Germany but with DHL will automatically be sent to customs and you have to go there PERSONALLY and open it. If you want something from the USA, use UPS or FedEX!

    Totally with you General Custer :D .

    That mvmt is not a cal. 616 and neither has 16 lignes like the 616.

    As for the shape of the case IMHO looks more like a vintage "lifebuoy" soap than a vintage 3646.

    I must confess that I have seen better work by WM (this one must be earlier work).

    Because I dont live in a Mayor City where we have a Sony Center. I already went to stores sort of like BestBuy, what else can I do? Even those stores only have fake stock and aparently they dont even know it!

    I agree with Ken, If I had the problems you are experiencing...I would just pay the price and purchase one from Sony Direct! And also Sony charges like 3x the price if you buy directly from them.

    What would you say if you'd buy a Rolex from WEMPE or Tourneau and when you find out it's fake, ppl tell you "Why didnt you buy from Rolex directly?".

    You just dont expect an Armani suit to be fake when you buy it at the Lafayette in Paris. And neither do you expect a Memory Stick to be fake when you buy it at BestBuy!

    I faced the same problem earlier this year when I was looking for a memory stick produo. I bought a 1Gb genuine from a friend who sells gen sony stuff.... he taught me how to tell the reps from the real stuff...

    You need to look at the back of the memory stick at the gold contact part... can't remember what the reps or gens were like...but if you post a pic of yours and i post a pic of mine we should be able to tell... there was something about a line running thru the middle the gold contacts if i am not mistaken.... quite hard to spot and you need to hold it under the light.

    I'll try this tommorrow, but there are various "generations" of fake Memory Sticks. Just like it is with the reps. They fix one flaw and make another and so on.

    I wouldnt even care if it was fake, if it had the poromised Writing Speed which I need. The problem with these fakes is just that they dont work properly.

    Ones that are labled 2GB but aren't are obviously vake, but how are you testing the write speed? It's a hard thing to test due to many factors playing a role and the higher rating may be burst instead of sustained write speed...

    I have a Genuine 1GB stick, and if I'm able to write a 1GB file on a regular 1GB Memory Stick Duo FASTER then on a High Speed 2GB Memory Stick Duo, that theres something wrong with it! (2Minutes vs. 8 Minutes)

    I tested the wirting speed with various Softwares. Writing speed has NEVER varied noticeable with all my other Sony Memory Stick's.

    And that was not the only characteristica which leads me to the conclusion that they were fake. If you do some research on the net, you find out how to spot a fake. You can spot a Fake sub at its VARIOUS characteristicas. Though I admit, spotting a fake Memory Stick is not as easy as spotting a fake sub. The best way to spot it, is to cut it open.
